I love the Indian takeout! They will heat it up for you, or you can take it home with you. I’ve done both. There is nowhere else nearby to get Indian takeout, so this is a gem! When I went in yesterday for some spices, they were doing some spring cleaning and shelf renovation. The little old man from behind the counter helped me sift through all the little packets to find mustard seeds. We never found them, but it was funny! I ended up with some takeout instead, because hey, it was lunchtime! And, after reading these reviews I now know I can get Richardson’s too. Way to go, randomest shop in town!

Delicious homemade Indian food 100% vegetarian and super vegan friendly! The owner is also super friendly. Great food, good prices, by far the best vegan option in the area!

pleasant surprise to find this around the corner from us — and yay to the patch article that pointed them out, because, really, who would go into a convenience store with an Irish name looking for homemade Indian takeout? nice variety of dishes, all veg and all tasty, plus inexpensive. they also carry grocery items, should you want to try to replicate any of the dishes at home — and they offer cooking classes, as well. you can eat there (there are a few tables tucked in the place), but i’d suggest getting it as takeout.

Yummy and inexpensive vegetarian (and vegan) takeout Indian food. Located inside of a convenience store on the Melrose/​Wakefield line. Meal for my wife and I came to $ 13 and included a bread, two samosas, rice, and a dinner. No dinner over $ 6.99 and most are $ 4.99.
Open Mon-​Sat 11a-​7p and Sun 11a-​6p.
All food was homemade, made to order, and very delicious.

Since coming under new ownership about a year ago this place is hands down the best convenience store/​fruit stand/​deli/​ice cream shop around. The owner and his wife are super friendly and always looking for suggestions about how they can do things better. The Richardsons ice cream is always fresh and served year around. Fresh veggies and fruit are always available and most of the time you can get organic fruit at ½ the price of what you see it at the larger supermarket chains. Not to mention the fact that you can grab a deli sandwich or some home made curry.
