Extremely friendly and welcoming owner! He walked half way down the street to find me and direct me back into his café. Artfully decorated and interesting selection of breakfast items!

I so wanted to like this place, but it really just fell short. We in the area from out of town, and wanted to grab breakfast and coffee somewhere local and not a Starbucks and DD. Such places are in limited supply around here, so I was delighted to find this cute, new, sleek & rustic looking place nearby. But the design and look of the place was the best thing going for itself. There was a few things that made this place not very good– First, upon walking in, there is no menu, except well the big chalkboard over the over with 5 delicious sounding items listed. But when we went to order one, we were informed, «oh, we aren’t serving those today. Only on Sunday». I was like huh? then WHY do you have them listed, and displayed. as a menu. And as your ONLY menu on display. So strange. Then we went to order something from the case — fine. Except there were no little placards or labels to see what anything was.(The food has a little eclectic flair, so it doesn’t all look very common or recognizable). So the woman proceeds to try to tell us what each thing is, but it’s naturally a little sound filled in there– and she was pretty soft spoken– so it was hard enough to hear what she was saying I had to reach my ear over the glass to hear what she was saying. More of a hassle than it’s worth at that hour in the morning before I’ve had any coffee. And then worst of it all– all their breakfast sandwiches and egg goods are pre-made, and out on display. When you order one, it’s put in the oven and heated up. Neither my boyfriends breakfast sandwich, or my zucchini frittata was adequately warmed up, as after 2 bites it was completely cold on the inside. I also couldn’t finish my frittata because it was made with lots of Curry or some Turkish /mid eastern spice that was more than I cared for(typically, none) in my morning fare. If I known it had that in it, I would have absolutely passed. But again, no signage, and no explanation of what’s in everything– which I wouldn’t expect unless there’s something different about it that would be unable to see — like being made with curry! So I had to suffice with just coffee and OJ to get me going. But don’t worry, there was little labels for water that was in the case, just in case you weren’t sure. Which I thought was funny, odd, and at this point, annoying. They seemed to have had homemade nut butters at the front of the counter which looked pretty neat, but only one kind that had a proper label– the others were just marked in a sharpie marker I the top of the jar, which I found to be a bit odd and off putting. Overall, this place could be really good for the informed customer — with a bunch more signage and better reheating of their products.

I love the décor and style of this place. They have a really consistent and passionate vision, right down to their Facebook page. The menu has unique Turkish food, which is unique for the area and very tasty. This is a great example of a small business that deserves success.

I am so sad that Mola has had to change their hours. They have the BEST iced coffee that I’ve had in such a long time! While I will admit that the first time I went(when they first opened) I was surprised at the lack of «bakery items» and even orange/apple juice for my sons. Because they didn’t have any of the«staples» that we normally look for we were«forced» to pick something outside of our comfort zone and I am SOOOO glad we did! The scones, hazelnut butter, and citrus cake are AMAZING! I’ve tried something new each time I’ve been in and I have never been disappointed. I hope Mola can make a comeback!

Dropped in last Saturday after a ride out on the commuter rail. Lovely little café, adjacent to the tracks on the Wakefield Center Commuter Rail Stop. The two(2) ice coffee sizes I was shown are grande range generous so I got a Tazo bottle tea and a homemade sweet scone which was yummy. Looks like they have homemade yogurt as well. Was only a quick stop for me as I was waiting for a ride to friend’s house in nearby town but the staff was very friendly and the place immaculate. Looks like there is parking around the back. And I would return if in the neighborhood visiting again.

I have been meaning to write a review for this place for the last few months, today I finally was able to try their hot breakfast/brunch so I couldn’t go another day without writing about it! This place is an adorable little casual café + bakery specializing in Turkish breakfast/brunch options. My normal go-tos are: –the citrus cake –the hazelnut spread(they make it from scratch and my cabinet has not been without it since they opened) –hazelnut cake –iced coffee Today, they had a lot more options and I enjoyed so many new things! My sister and I went in with my niece and nephew and created a little variety spread so we could try everything. We got a hot egg dish, their turkish sausage and egg sandwich, savory scone, strawberry yogurt cake and an iced coffee. Everything was great! We loved that the hot dishes were made on the spot but it was still fast service and the staff is always very, very friendly and happy to answer any questions. They wrote on Facebook recently that they are now only going to be open on the weekends, and I really would love to see this place succeed. They make everything from scratch every single day and it shows. I didn’t realize they had espresso options until I read some of these Unilocal reviews so I will definitely be trying that next, also somebody got the yeasted vanilla bean pancakes when we were in there and I NEED to try them ASAP. Next time for sure ! :)

Fantastic brunch! We’ve been here twice now and this is going to become a regular thing for us. The menu is small but everything we’ve tried has been truly outstanding and unusual. That’s one of the great things about this place is that it’s not your usual egg, bacon and toast joint. All the menu items have their own twist and it’s so refreshing to find a place like this that uses fresh, unusual ingredients made to order. The vanilla pancakes are to die for and anything with the sausage in it is wonderful. They also have awesome to-go items like home-made yogurt and hazelnut butter. The bread and pastries are equally great, my wife is hooked on the scones so we get some here and then get some to-go. You NEED to try this place, you won’t be sorry.

So delicious. The most interesting dining spot in Wakefield. Brunch food is great. The menamen is delicious, really healthy too. The pancakes were somewhere between a usual pancake and a crêpe, and felt like a treat without making me feel like I need to sleep for the rest of the day. The coffee is good and I love that they have almond milk. The baked goods are fantastic – the choco balls, omg, and the almond cookies are both delicious and kind of healthy! They make all their own stuff and put a lot of love, thought, and talent into the food.

We stopped in here on Friday, August 21st. Coffee is strong and very good. I got a vanilla latte, and they make their own vanilla syrup. Was delish! the egg sandwiches were pretty good. the biscuit was my favorite part. They make their own citrusade, like lemonade. Which my daughter loved, however I didnt relize it was over $ 4! bit pricey overall. But will def try them again.

This was a disappointment. We came here for brunch(my bf and I) on a Sunday morning. We each got egg based Turkish breakfast dishes, iced coffees, and a small plate of cured meat, totaling $ 34.00 without tip. TOO expensive for breakfast. The food was edible but not exceptional. The portions were small for the price. Very disorganized service. Only 4 options for breakfast. This place could be great(I love Turkish food) but is WAY too expensive and does not have enough breakfast options.

I went to Mola for the first time around 10am on a Saturday. It was quaint, only about 8 or so tables and only 2 other guests besides myself. There were only 5 things for me to order for something to eat, so I settled on some blueberry custard pie thing. Tasty, but chewy. Their brunch menu for Sunday looked really yummy, I’d be willing to go back and try that. I got a Vanilla Bean Almond Milk latte. I always like when I find places that have Almond Milk, since I’m picky because of allergies. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. Like I said, I’d give it another go. It’s new and growing, and it looked like they were starting to cook up some good stuff.

Stopped in on a Sunday to this new joint in Wakefield, been looking for a new café/breakfast spot. Cool décor and nice new American-euro vibe. Decent variety of food to chose from, simple breakfast sandwiches and also their Sunday brunch is a Turkish brunch I believe. Ordered the menemem, pan fried eggs with tomatoes, peppers and onions and I have to say it was delicious. Americano was on point and I believe they use George Howell coffee. I’ll be back…

What a wonderful find! Convenient but off of the Main Street in Wakefield. Has kind of a European vibe to the décor. The Borek(meat and potato pie) was flaky, light and well-seasoned). Perfect when paired with my excellent latte. After the owner(kind, delightful, and attentive) offered me a taste of the homemade hazelnut butter, I also purchased a jar to bring home. I will definitely be back! Yum!

This is a great new place! We went there on an early Saturday afternoon, and ended up sharing and therefore trying most of the offerings(between 4 people). Everything was good, some of the things were really really great. My favorites: — citrus cake parfait(mmm, just the thought :-)) — coco choco balls — gluten free almond cookies — hazelnut butter — hazelnut butter cake There are also savory offerings for a savory breakfast or a light lunch. E.g. fillo pastry with meat filling, feta cheese sandwiches, olives, and more. We were told they would start serving Sunday brunch as of this weekend as well. The café latte and regular coffees were also good, and they seemed to have a nice tea selection as well. The ambiance was nicely designed. An open, inviting, contemporary, casual place. They did seem to have wifi, but I did not confirm that with the owner. Service was great, and we ended up engaging in a good conversation with the very friendly owner.

What a sweet little place! It’s only been open a month or so, but I followed my Unilocaler instincts and picked it as a new to me bakery/café for my morning run and was definitely not disappointed. Their latte was on target with taste(omg so good!!), but they only have one size. I thought it was a good size, but appreciate variety in case I need more coffee. As a treat I had the hazelnut cake. Delicious, but so buttery that my fingers were greasy after eating it(and huge – portion control isn’t existent haha). So so yummy! Their sandwiches and juices looked good. I’ll definitely be back and hope their menu expands in the coming weeks/months. Also, no idea on wifi as I didn’t ask. But if they have it, that would be a major plus(another place to write!!) Update: mediocre egg sandwich(scrambled with too much bread and too little egg ratio)… But free wifi. Okay, yes… this shall become one of my new cafes for work :-)

This morning on my way to Wakefield Station, I was in a hurry and daydreaming about how soon I could get a cup of(quality) Joe on my way downtown. I thought, «Man I wish there was a café at this train station!» Then I looked over and saw a shining beacon of light, «Mola Bakery and Café!» They’ve been open for one month and serve up George Howell coffee. There’s seating and a wall of windows with an exit door, perfect for waiting for your train to Boston. Soon they will offer weekend brunch. I’m very excited about this place!

This place is brand new and very modern inside but also a touch of character. It has ample seating inside and a very quaint atmosphere. The milk and cream were in small jars which added a homey vibe. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us two samples to try: the hazelnut spread and the citrus drink. Everything in the store is freshly made including the samples we tried. If we were’t on the motorcycle we would have purchased a couple of jars of the hazelnut spread; it was out of this world delicious. For now they only have coffee and pastry, but starting in a couple of weeks they will be adding brunch which is even more reason to visit this place.

We dropped by Mola on the way to REI and everything about it was lovely. The service was friendly and they were very tolerant of our inquisitive two and five year olds who wanted to check out everything and prevented us from ordering immediately. I love the casual vibe and while we were figuring out what we wanted, they encouraged us to go «open the fridge and take a look.» Inside the vintage refrigerator was a variety of delicious juices, although we ended up not being too adventurous and chose fresh squeezed orange juice. The latte I ended up ordering was solid, as good if not better than coffee shops in Boston or Somerville, and it was great to be able to sit down and enjoy it. I don’t know if we caught it on an especially good day, but Mola was full of people enjoying their coffee and each other’s company instead of focused on their computers or rushing to get out the door, so it was rather idyllic and peaceful like you would hope your coffee shop would be on a Sunday morning. We rarely get out to the suburbs, but now knowing that Mola exists, we will now have something to look forward to when we venture out!

Great addition to town. Offers a nice assortment of unique breakfast and lunch options, coffee, tea, citrusade, and more.
