Style My Mop

Anytime I have a special occasion (or I’m just feeling lazy!) I have Kristen wash and dry my hair. I really hate doing my own hair, it takes forever and it never comes out good. I am so glad I found this place because it’s a short walk from my house and Kristen really knows how to style hair however I want it, which is different every time I go. Not to mention she’s really friendly and fun to talk to! The salon itself is really clean and cozy. I feel very comfortable walking in here which is not always the case with hair salons! I would definitely recommend Style My Mop and especially Kristen.

I have been lucky enough to have Kristen cut my hair since I started coming here back in November. She does an excellent job with men’s cuts and is as friendly as it gets.

Finally took the time to check out Style My Mop after purchasing a Groupon for a «Cut, Style & Deep Conditioning treatment.»
Kristen worked with me — she is wonderful. Very patient, friendly and «in the know» with hair care. I never seem to be able to describe how I want my hair done, as I get it cut only twice a year and cannot for the life of me, every re-​create the look after the first day — so I don’t like to go to crazy. Hair is not my forte. Explaining this to Kristen, she busted out a variety of recent photos of styles on current celebrities she has collected in an album on her iPad — to help put a vision to my lack of description of what I wanted. Once we had the length and bangs settled — she made sure she created a look that I would be able to easily manage on my own. SO if you’re like me & want a hair cut, but stink at doing your own hair & need help finding a managable look — ask Kristen.
As I had VERY long hair — Kristen asked if I would be interested in donating my hair to a company similar to Locks for Love. I ended up donating & she took care of shipping it off.
Overall — I have & will keep recomending Style My Mop for those looking for a good wash, easy hair cut & nice people.

I went here for the first time on Saturday and I had an excellent experience. I had never heard of it before but I bought a Groupon for a much needed cut and style and I’m so glad I did! Kristen was awesome and understood exactly what I wanted. The salon was a big open room and much different and more laid back than other salons I’ve been to in the area. I will definitely go back again!

I got a deal on Groupon for a wash, cut, style. Kristen did my hair, she was very nice and great to talk to. I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted for layers and angles, and she cut my hair exactly the way I wanted. Very satisfied with this Groupon. Thank You!

Style My Mop has been my go-​to place for my hair since it opened, and it is fabulous. Gina has been doing my hair for as long as I can remember, even back to the days when she worked in shops on Main St. She has a flair for making everyone look good, but she always pays attention to what you want. Gina is personable and friendly, and makes everyone feel at home. I come in, pour out my troubles to her, and go out feeling and looking better. No extra charge for the therapy!

I visited Kristen at Style My Mop a couple of weeks ago and she is fabulous! I just went in for a cut. Kristen is thorough and artistic when cutting hair. You can tell that she enjoys what she does and it shows in her work. The salon is adorable, clean and convenient. I’ll definitely be back!

I found a groupon for Style My Mop and thought that I’d give it a try. I spent $ 82.00 –got a cut and foil. Looking at my hair, it looks the same as when I went in. The color is dull and my roots are still showing. I am so unhappy with the way my hair looks. I really would like to get my money back and go elsewhere.

Came in for the first time today for a cut. My old hairdresser charged less ($ 30 as compared to $ 45), but since I no longer work up the street from that hairdresser, she wasn’t in such a convenient location, so I tried Style My Mop, which is up the street from my home.
Gina greeted me when I walked in. I asked if Style My Mop does walk-​ins, and she said absolutely, she could take me right then.
I told Gina what I was looking for (a style completely different from anything I had before, I went from a medium-​length one-​length cut to a shorter layered cut)…she gave me suggestions, was very professional, and very friendly and engaging without being overly chatty the way some hairdressers are.
When she was finished, I had the exact look I was hoping for, my hair looks great, and I’ve been getting compliments on it all day long.
I’d most definitely recommend Style My Mop to anyone in the Wakefield area, it’s well worth the $ 45 for the cut and the service. Ask for Gina, she’s fantastic!

I came here to get a quick, last minute fix on a horrible haircut I had received. I didn’t want to be there so I wasn’t happy about it because I wasn’t suppose to have gotten a terrible haircut at another establishment and I wasn’t suppose to be getting a fix to it! Ahh, unhappy girl.
The service was great, the space was great and location was okay. The only thing was they didn’t accept CC, which was odd. This was a year ago, so perhaps they have changed.
