Had the chicken and waffles yesterday, YUM! Super crunchy chicken fingers on a fresh made waffle. It was amazing! Had to add this, they are very patriotic! That is a bonus because the food is great.

Small place with very good food. Nothing fancy about the décor but everyone enjoyed their meal especially the CB hash wrap. The hash is the real deal.

I got food to go and it was delicious. The hash was so good, it wasn’t all potatoes like most places. The bacon was crispy, the home fries where cooked perfectly. Everything was so good. This is my new place to go for breakfast.

Great breakfast place. I love a good hole in the wall and this is a great hole in the wall. The owner, Billy, is the cook. I had to order the corned beef hash. He warned me that it had pepper and onions and asked if that was ok. I told him I would try it his way and it was great. He was genuinely interested later, when he asked me if I liked it. There was a big table of local regulars. Great place to hear genuine Boston accents.

Real food, made by real people. It doesn’t get an easier than that. It may not be the beautiful décor, but who goes to an actual diner for décor. You go for the food. Great portion sizes, price is good, exceptional value. If I lived near by I would be here all of the time. If you live far or near, and aren’t in the mod for fancy, but want some seriously good food, come here. Eat well, be happy.

Small, unassuming place with a few locals chatting in the corner. The food was cooked well and was reasonably priced. The décor was terrible but whatever..

This is THEBEST breakfast on the north shore, hands down. I am a huge fan of corned beef hash and the Chuck Wagon makes their own and it’s AMAZING. They also have great home fries(crispy perfection), cold brew iced coffee and the most delicious cinnamon swirl pancakes you’ve ever tried. The wait staff is friendly and remembers you after just a few visits. The place is always filled with regulars and really feels like a dinner from a movie. Not fussy, delicious home cooked food.

Consistently good local diner. This is in an industrial area with little ambiance but good food at reasonable prices. The kids meals are also a good deal at around $ 3. Portions are generous and the food is consistently good.

Such a great true to Life eating experience. So down to earth it might as well been a restaurant in a cave. Freaking awesome food that is filling. And 2 great owners delivering some Über awesome food! 6 stars! P.s try the hash, try the fried oreos, try everything… then you can consider leaving. lol

The food was great and home cooked everything was fresh. They even sent some extra food out to our table for us for free. Definitely come in a visit I will be coming back for sure the corn beef hash is special and the fried dough.

The Chuck Wagon Diner is a family friendly diner in Wakefield. The owners and staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating to us, our daughter and son-in-law and grandboys. The boys were given coloring books to enjoy, food was good(try the home-made corned beef hash) and we had a wonderful time!

When deciding on a breakfast place in the area, I looked on Unilocal real quick to see what I could find. This place came up right away so I thought we would try it! The reviews were right when they said it’s in an industrial area and easy to miss– I was looking for it and still almost drove by it! The food was good and very fairly priced. But you probably won’t go in for the décor. It’s a nice tribute to people who have fought for the country and is adorned with many different types of patriotic decorations on the walls that are mis-matched. But, that didn’t bother me and it was cute inside anyway.

This place is as basic as basic gets — no frills. The food is good, the prices are very good, the wait staff is welcoming and the location is funky but appropriate. The home fries are unique chip-like and I enjoyed them. If you just want some breakfast — it is a good place to consider.

This place is a little gem in Wakefield! We were from out of state and the staff made us feel like we were regulars! Everything was delicious from the made-to-order corned beef hash, omelets, fried dough, to the after breakfast fried Oreos! Awesome! Make this your next breakfast destination

Been here about three weekends in a row! What they saw about the corned beef hash is true, it is the best I have ever had! Their home fries are unique — crisp and hot. My daughter loved the bacon pancakes. Ive had the chili omelet too and it was great. I next tried the pulled pork omelet. While it was good, it was a bit sweet for my taste. But that is just a preference thing. This is def home cooking done really well! The service is exceptional too! We will be loyal customers… yeah buddy!

I’ve lived in Wakefield for a while now and I never knew this existed! A few friends and I were looking to get breakfast and the line at Blue Moon was really long as usual. I did a quick Unilocal search and found this place! I’m SO glad I did. We got right in with no wait, we were helped right away. It’s really obvious that it’s a family owned place because you can tell all of the staff really care if you are having a good experience. I got something basic like a grilled english muffin, potatoes, and 2 poached eggs. They also had a special — pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes, so we all split an order of those too. The food came out quick, and immediately after the cook who I also assume is one of the owners came over and asked us how everything is. He also mentioned to try the corn beef hash next time because it’s homemade. I’m always afraid to risk it because a lot of times it’s out of a can, but next time I will definitely be trying it knowing that. The potatoes were maybe my favorite, they were crispy and cut into thick chips almost. Really fresh and good. Everybody was really happy with their meals, and the prices are really really reasonable.

Amazing service! Food was perfectly cooked and prompt with unparalleled cordiality. My four year-old and I came here early on a fine Sunday, and had the best customer service I’ve ever experienced: The woman who waited on us walked my daughter over to a tub full of coloring books and crayons so she could pick out the ones she wanted; another gentleman got a high chair for her stuffed bunny; the food arrived swiftly and perfectly cooked; when we left, both her z and her bunny were given patriotic bracelets… And the woman actually opened them up and helped my daughter put them on – yes, bunny rabbit included. I haven’t had service or food this good since I was a kid, soaking in simple life of Western Massachusetts. Highly recommend!
