Radiology Imaging Associates

RIA performed my thyroid biopsy today and it was a gentle experience. The staff was pleasant and I was all done in less than 30 minutes start to finish. The Dr had excellent beside manners and extremely gentle. KUDOS to the team for a fine job.

Excellent service during 3 MRI’s and 1 Mammogram over 2 days. RIA has a very good website and one can obtain information can via the internet or by calling in to the main switchboard. If you call in, there is an initial prompt/​message and you are put into a queue where you are updated regularly on your status. During this time you are told of other methods for making an appointment. RIA offers evening hours which are very convenient and not very crowded. The reception staff for my tests were courteous and very accommodating and the techs were excellent, efficient and courteous. I was taken back from the waiting room for my tests at my scheduled time. The facility — both MRI and the Women’s Center are modern and clean. The Women’s Center is especially lovely and calming.

RIA occupies multiple buildings at this courtyard site. See photo. I come here for my annual mammogram. The receptionists, technicians and the doctors are informative and helpful. Of course, we patients must play our role and be prepared to ask relevant questions. They have the latest mamogram technology equipment. Because my GYN felt a nodule, I had an ultrasound test also. The RIA doctor spoke to me after the tests and explained the results. Since no nodule was found, I am also having an MRI done soon. The MRIs are done in another building, same site, so I walked over and made an appointment for the MRI. The MRI receptionist was also helpful while asking for a bunch of health background information. SOP.
So I’ll have another interaction with the MRI folks soon. My 4 star opinion is for the folks who do mamograms now. I’ll update this if the MRI folks are not as professional.

I had a CT scan with contrast here. This place is an accident waiting to happen. Patient staff interaction was terrible with the exception of the lady who sits behind the CT area window. They made no effort to pre brief so that I would know what to expect. Started with one technician and ended with another.
