Everytime I come to this store or Home Goods because their 2 stores in one. It doesn’t matter whether its in the morning or afternoon their is always a long line. They have approximately 11 registers but always have 2 – 3 employees working these registers. They need to do a hiring spree and get more cashiers to work on these registers. Its a shame to be waiting this long of a time for just a simple shower curtain liner. Management need to get this store in order. Poor Management!!! Never coming here again I can get better and efficient service at Walmart

Hummmmm… They don’t have many things maybe because it’s connected with home goods?! Price: Good. Coach shoes $ 138 — -)$ 29 Customer service: Good. Variety: Not really. They don’t have high end brands. Parking: Free.

TJ Maxx has a lot of inventory, friendly staff, and is connected to Home Goods. All positives. However the problem is that I rarely find stuff I like, and then when I do the prices are crazy compared to other discount stores. I prefer to go to Ross or Burlington cause I can usually find a bunch of stuff there.

Like one of the reviews below, I too like browsing around TJ Maxx(TK Maxx in the UK). They tend to have some decent wee bargains, although they are slightly more expensive than Ross and Marshall’s. This particular localtion in Waldorf is usually busy in every part of the store, except for the men’s section, thankfully! I usually have all the time in the world to browse in relative comfort and without having other blokes pushing through racks and hangers, as the women’s section seems to be. The punters here are also not the same randomers that stalk your average Ross, either, thankfully, too. The store thus is normally free from shouting, personal soundtracks, random drama, and other odd or annoying behavior. The men’s section has some pretty good casual tops and work shirts — you can find some pretty good bargains, although specific brands are not at all«warehouse» or «imperfect» prices, at least in comparison to places like Marshall’s or Burlington. Like previous reviewer, Ryan B., I agree that I would prefer to check out TJ Maxx before I head to a dept store specifically because I usually find some great items for a fraction of the normally laughable dept store prices. And I also echo his sentiment about dress trousers — for some reason, I too find it difficult to find a good pair in stock, at least in this location. Its either trousers for skinny dudes with a waist the size of a twelve year old lad OR those large enough for a Ten-Ton Tommy. I usually end up going to an outlet for trousers, but for everything else, I usually walk out with at least one good bargain here every other visit. It is also worthwhile checking-out the men’s clearance section before heading to the normal-priced racks — I’ve come to find some perfectly good items just sat there, and at a reduced price, with nothing obviously wrong with them material-wise. You do find some rare-looking things every now again, but then who cares when they’re cheap. One good plus is that you have no strict limit on the number of items you can bring into the changing room — @ least for men, from what I’ve experienced. The women who tend to mind the desk there have yet to impose a limit on the items I bring with me, and I recall one of them once telling me this anyway. So whether accurate or not, I’ve never had an issue. Another plus here is that the bloke’s room is usually maintained at a very high standard. It is always super clean, bright, and not at all the norm for your average retail establishment. One slight negative is that oddly enough, they don’t do men’s shoes? Not even the odd pair of trainers. Nowt. It was a little inconvenient at first — but thankfully DSW Shoes is a couple of store fronts away, and they have some awesome stuff there! Another negative can be the queues — crickey, on weekends you’d wish you made an appointment a week in advance to pay for your stuff because despite having a good row of chicks at the tills, the queue can move rather slow. But then this is just an example of how popular the place is for bargain-hunting, I suppose. I never bother with all the gadgets and random food stuff in here, or the Home furnishings section, but my sister and bro-in-law usually find some decent wee things. I’d imagine you could find cheap bits for a college dorm, an apartment and of course a house, so give it a go. So yes, I agree this place can yield some pretty good stuff for great prices, hard to beat in comparison to dept stores.

Very good location with amazing finds! One of the best I have ever been in! However, when I needed assistance in the jewelry case, the assistant manager, Carolyn was walking by! I guess she saw me standing there, so before I could say«excuse me, can I get some h…,» she cut me off and said«someone will be right over!». She was rude almost as if my asking for assistance for a case that is locked was my problem and that she really didn’t want to be bothered! However, the associate that did help me was very nice! Will come back to this location when I’m in the area, but I will be hesitant to deal with Carolyn! The bonus is is that the HomeGoods is connected to the TJ Maxx! So double the fun!

That’s right. I shop at TJ Maxx. When I need to to supplement my wardrobe I head here before I go to the department stores and pay full price. It’s great for dress shirts for work, socks and undies, jackets, backpacks and luggage, cheap international candies and desserts. What does that commercial say? «I’m a fashinon maxxinista» or «maxxinister» in my case. I can never seem to find pants that I like though. Wierd. They even have a good selection of eletronics accessories for iphones. This store in particular is usually pretty clean, organized and the lines go by pretty fast. Yep, I can’t help but feel like a high roller when I shop here.
