Awesome food, service a bit slow but worth the wait! Avocado rolls, coconut prawns, chicken satay and panang curry are to die for.

Some of the best shrimp pad thai I have ever had. The service is good and fast. It is definetly a family restaurant with a very laid back atmosphere. It is a couple miles from downtown and easy to find with a GPS. Good parking.

The best Thai food on the planet. I always start with the avocado spring rolls, which are light and delicious, especially when dipped in the peanut sauce. Next, the yellow curry, which is just spicy enough to give a little burn without feeling overwhelming or taking away the flavor. Also, I always ask for a side of the cucumber salad. Unlike the name suggests, this has no lettuce at all. It is just cucumbers and radishes in a gentle, sweet vinegar. The only reason I would give 4 instead of 5 stars is because the service is a little. awkward. I’ve never had problems with anyone but I would not consider the waiters/waitresses to be especially outgoing or bright. Still, I would highly recommend!

While the food itself has always been delicious, I have sanitary issues with Thai Ploy. The first time I found hair in my food, I understood that it was an honest mistake and I didn’t hesitate to return. But when I found hair in my food again, I questioned whether I would ever return. A year later, I return hoping that the meal would be hair free but much to my dismay I found hair a THIRD time and now I will never return. The food and service seems great but it’s a dirty restaurant with rips in the seats and hair in food! Look elsewhere.

This is the best Thai I’ve eaten. While other places seem to be dominated by strong and maybe hot flavors primarily, the food here had more range of flavors, and very excellent vegetables. Service was rapid, but without compromising quality of food preparation. Portions are large and attractively presented. Room was large and quiet on a Sunday evening. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Food is OK but the service was extremely slow. We had a party of 5 and the orders came out separately about 10 minutes apart. The last meal sat on the counter for 20 minutes before the water gal figured it out. The waiter seemed challenged. We won’t be back.

All the dishes I’ve had here(usually currys) have been ridiculously good. My only complaint is that the service can be slow, even if you’re the only ones in the restaurant.

My fellow diner and I had heard some great reviews about Thai Ploy, and we were less than impressed with the other Thai eatery in Walla Walla, so we were hoping for a pretty good experience. Unfortunately, that’s not what we received. As we walked in, we could see that the restaurant was very empty for a Saturday evening, but we were still made to wait for a table to be cleaned. The waiter promptly brought us ice water. Unfortunately, my glass was riddled with lipstick around the entire rim. The waiter made no excuses and replaced it. First off, the menu is HUGE. While that’s nice for options, it makes it hard to choose, and the waiter was less than helpful with answering what kind of veggies were in particular dishes and did not offer to find out. He simply said he didn’t know and left it at that. We’re both big fans of Tom Kha soup so we ordered that along with chicken satay, Pad Thai and another dish that the name escapes me, but it sounded delicious. Our food came out in record time, which is strange if they’re making food to order. The soup tasted like the meat had gone bad. They took it back without question and stated that the«chef» said it tasted off as well. Is it not common practice to taste your food before it goes out to the diner? Apperently not. Next, the chicken satay was OK, but nothing to write home about for the $ 9 being charged for the four small portions it came with. My meal of the Pad Thai was extremely gummy, but had lots of meat which was a plus. I asked for cilantro to be added, but it was simply piled on the side, still on the stem. Last, my co-diner’s meal was so full of ginger it was nearly inedible. Sadly, we both left with a bad taste in our mouth(literally), and were set back $ 40+ even with the soup being removed from our bill. We won’t be back.

The service is horrible! They often misplace orders, forget ordered items, and mess up take out orders. They tell you pick up in 15 minutes, only to wait an hour for your food. When you point out their mistakes, they do nothing to solve the issue. It is really too bad because their food is delicious. If they could figure out how to run a business, it would be a great place.

Ok the service sucked! It was slow to start with and the waiter took her time asking my order, then she came back 5 minutes later to double check what I had ordered, she did write it down the first time, I saw her. I asked her for a to go box and waited 10 minutes then had to ask someone else… Apart from the atrocious service the food was excellent! It didn’t take long to get and it was delicious and a lot more than I was expecting, quantity wise. The price is normal for this type of food. I suggest ordering to go.

Thai food has always been a bit of a mystery to me. How do they combine unlikely ingredients like tomatoes, mint, coconut milk and peanuts to make such incredibly delicious sauces and dishes? A master of this culinary magic is Thai Ploy in Walla Walla. They have an extensive menu including a list of specials using local ingredients and some lunch specials. We like the Thai salad eggrolls which use rice paper to wrap a selection of veggies, seasoned ground pork, grape leaves(or bitter leaf??) and nice sized shrimp. It’s served with a delicious peanut sauce. Now my family is a bit unconventional regarding Asian meals. Normally, you would share plates and everyone would have their own bowl of rice to fill with items from the plates. My gang prefers to eat the stuff on the plates by themselves. This is a bit of a problem at Thai Ploy because they serve pretty good portions… enough to share! Other dishes they enjoy are the Pad Thai, Thai Ploy fried rice and broccoli beef. They have a pretty big vegetarian menu too by which I mean practically any dish can be made vegetarian. Service is pretty good though they tend to have new waiters and waitresses on a regular basis. The place is clean and inviting… big enough for large groups. All in all a pretty good Thai restaurant for Walla Walla.

Best Thai food in Walla Walla hands down. I’ve been to Thailand many times & like how their Thai food is authentic instead of Americanized. It’s to bad some people are intimidated by other cultures. I have been eating here for years & the older gentleman is very friendly. Half the fun of going to an authentic business is the culture difference & its sad some people decide to enter negative comments because they feel intimidated.

Basically, we waited over an hour and a half for our food and the only excuse was«it’s Valentine’s Day». The restaurant wasn’t even busy and others that came in later got their food before us. Very disappointed and annoyed.

Very friendly service. Food is fresh and made to order. If you want box food head to PF Chang’s. I will continue to go and enjoy this authentic Thai food.

Ordered take out and was immediately taken aback by the weird service offered by the older gentleman. Both the red curry and prik dishes were very good. The avocado fresh rolls were huge and tasty. Just can’t get over the odd service. Was weird and made me feel uncomfortable.

I read the other reviews and thought well, the food mostly gets good reviews even if the service is slow. So since it was close to my accommodation I’d give it a try. Service was quick and efficient, the waitress was great. The food though … Thai ice tea was the sweetest I have ever had, sickly sweet. Three kings was bland, and I don’t understand why people rave about the fresh avocado rolls. I didn’t finish anything and when they asked if I would like a box … Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff, but I don’t think I will go back to see.

Love their food. Owners are super nice and always recognize their customers. Friendly waiters/waitresses as well. I’ve tried a lot of their food and have nothing but praise for the taste and presentation.

Ok, tried this restaraunt, not big Thai eaters. Restaraunt was very tacky in décor, there is plastic tacked to the table and menu items under the plastic. The menu was hard to read, the writing blending into the colors. Our server came by a couple times to ask if we are ready to order, but didn’t offer any suggestions. The food tasted good, that’s the 3 stars. The portions I felt like we should have been sharing.

Wow. Never. Again. Awful service. Awful food. I’m pretty sure my waitress was high. I wouldn’t recommend this place even to someone I didn’t care for… It’s that’s bad. I tried giving them 0 stars … But it wouldn’t let me. Why this place is packed blows my mind. I even played it safe and went with the chicken Pad Thai. Gross.
