The bbq and fried orca was to die for. It is not someplace you would think to stop and eat. But, as we sat there and grazed, we notice lots of people coming for a bbq pit stop. The coleslaw was thick and we didn’t like it much. Otherwise, worth the stop. Yummy.

NC Exit 385-Wallace, next to taco bell Small town butcher with lots of character. Stop in for an amazing BBQ meal and take away fresh high quality meat to prepare at home. Very friendly staff that make you feel that Wallace is your hometown. We met Kenneth, Billy’s brother, who treated us like family and to a sample of BBQ… on the house. Pork is locally raised, where beef is corn fed from the Midwest. Being a farm girl raised in Nebraska on corn fed not grass fed beef, I give Billy’s 5 stars for knowing quality. A hole in the wall worth the exit off of 40. Look for the Country Hams, like Italian Prosciutto hanging in the front window! Tell Billy or Kenneth hello from me.
