The Chamber of Commerce suggested them, and I’m glad they did. Family run business. Father does the cooking, and will make just about anything however spicy you like it. Excellent service and prices are very reasonable. They are temporarily closed as Father needed surgery. I hope they re-open soon. I would call first. Great egg drop soup with homemade noodles. Excellent Pad Thai. Everything is fresh and homemade. Restaurant has limited seating, be prepared to wait during peak times.

The servers are very friendly. The food is always tasty. Beware the«levels of spiciness» because each chef has his own idea. And if you order MILD and get MEDIUM, they will not remake the dish, you are stuck with it, so be warned. My wife orders her Pad Thai-Chicken with«no-spice» just to be safe. Their Tom Ka Gai soup is really very good. look for coupons, too. BTW, we enjoy eating in the restaurant, even though seating is limited.

I called for carryout yesterday and a message told me they would be closed for a few months for medical reasons, hope it is not too long. I did get carryout a few times and I was not disappointed. The Gang Gai is very good, as was the Curry Pad Thai. Have had the Pad Khing and it was loaded with ginger, I really enjoyed it. I thought their Pad Prik was a little on the bland side. The spice level was good. I like it hot, but not too hot, so medium plus was perfect for me.

Just moved out here and tried Haangs and i loved it! They have amazing pan fried dumplings that are the size of a small childs head. There sesame chicken, almond chicken is very good. Glad I went and cant wait to go back and try there Phở.

The service and the food were great! I recommend sticking with the Thai food. The Chinese items were good, but all the Thai items were amazing. Pork Spring Roll and Pork Fried dumplings were excellent. So flavorful! The Tom Yum soup with shrimp was amazing. Everything was made lovingly by hand and you could tell. They also sell shrimp chips, which are better than the crunchy noodles they serve with the soup. The Beef Phở looked amazing, as did the Pad Thai. I ordered Mongolian Beef which was ok, but too sweet for my tastes. The Gung Bao Chicken was decent but nothing special. Definitely go to this place, but order the Thai dishes. You’ll be glad you did!

Total surprise with this place! After an awkward walk into Jeff’s Kitchen which requires a reservation I saw this place on my Unilocal app. First, the heat level here is awesome. I mean, medium gets the nose running and they don’t lie. I eat hot oil and hot sauces like they are candy. I’m glad I went medium. Go mild to start if you don’t have high tolerance, you can add more thai chilies table side. I had the Pad Khing with beef. Great ginger flavor, and the water cress and onion had the texture I was looking for. The sauce was bursting with savory beef ginger elements, what a lovely brown sauce. I also had the pork spring roll(just ok) the pan fried dumplings(good but too large, 20 mins to make), and hot n sour(very good). Nice little spot with a lake view.

Pad Thai was good, much better than Pad Thai I’ve had in other places in the area. FINALLY the Walled Lake/Wixom/Commerce area has a place that serves bubble tea! Actually, they serve slushies which I’m not a huge fan of, but the bubbles were very much on point. I’ll try the Thai ice tea or coffee instead next time. Take your food to the roof for a view of the lake.

Food was delicious. One of the best Asian restaurants in the Commerce, Walled Lake, Wixom area. Bubble teas are definitely worth it. Don’t underestimate the amount of heat when you request your entrée to be spicy. Great patio seating with lake views. Service wasn’t very fast, so take-out might be better if you have young kids

Stopped in for take out last night while visiting some friends in the area… I tried the Masaman and came away quite happy… Very tasty ! Owners seem to genuinely care about their business and it’s got a beautiful location looking out at the lake. I will certainly be back for a sit down dinner at some point.

This is THE place for fried dumplings! They are made while you wait. Today I also had the crab raging. They were big and very yummy. Very small place. If you are going for ambiance this is not the place for you. You go for the food!

Got carryout one evening on our way to a friend’s when we didn’t want pizza and it was delicious! Ready in ten minutes, really friendly staff, and she asked if we needed silverware and napkins. I liked that, don’t want to waste those things if it isn’t needed.

Had a terrible experience, the entrees came out in just ten minutes, but my husband’s pad Thai came with a LONGHAIR in it. That made him sick, so he had to go outside. Neither the manager or the waitress felt the need to handle the situation in any manner. When I approached them, all they could say was: these things happen and I can’t go back in time to fix it. She even tried to convince me that it wasn’t any of the staff’s hair, which was a ridiculous attempt. Only after 5 minutes of me explaining why it’s so disgusting(!) I received an apology. Needles to say, we’re not coming back, and will not recommend it to anyone.

Been wanting to try this lakefront Walled Lake spot. Got Chinese take out from here on a Sunday Night. Friendly and helpful on the phone and about 20 minutes to pick up. After a small mix up with our order which was promptly fixed and received a complimentary appetizer for the trouble. We had a Shrimp dish and a Chicken dish along with egg rolls and sticky rice! The food was packed nicely and was all hot, good, and sauced well… Nothing stood out as great but definitely willing to try again… Would like to try Thai selections!

Had an unsettling experience last time I was there — ordered a vegetable curry and the smell was so bad I could not eat it… Smelled like sewage. Manager was not very accommodating. There are much better options for thai in the area, I’d pass on this place.

Food is good, service is not. My wife ordered a dish that did not mention fish in anyway on the menu. She does not like fish and when she took the first bite all she tasted was fish. She asked for me to try it, i like fish and it tasted overwhelmingly of fish. She took one bite and said she did not want it. When we got the bill we were charged for the dish. When I asked for it to be taken off they refused and told us if we don’t like something we should tell them ahead of time. I explained a main ingredient such as fish should be put on the menu, they disagreed and made it seem as if we had done something wrong and told us when ordering we should tell them all the things we don’t like. I have never had to explain things I don’t like at a restaurant because they may put it in food and not list it on the menu. We will never go back.

Tried something different, a green curry dish! Delicious and beautiful presentation! The vegetables were fresh and steamed perfectly! The complimentary tea was a nice touch to a great meal.

I went to haangs on 9-4-2014 I ordered the spicy noodles mild w/beef, it was very good the meat was some of the tenderest I have ever had, especially from a Asian type restaurant. Seriously tender beef !!! Mild was just about right amount of spice, because the Thai spice builds the more you eat it, by the time I was ¾ the way done I needed to stop, my tongue was burning(good burn) and I was sweating bullets. My girlfriend ordered the general Tao but mild, I would have liked it spicier but had excellent flavor, would definitely order either one again. For whatever reason they didn’t have dumplings that day, but I have had them before and they are huge and Damn close to the best I have had, if not the best. Staff was helpful courteous and engaging, would recommend Haang’s Bistro.

I picked up take out lunch yesterday from Haang’s Bistro, which is located across from Bayside. This place gets an A+ thanks to their top notch service and super fresh ingredients. We had a few different dishes including the drunken noodles(which were good), basil fried rice with tofu(very good), pad khing(really good), pork spring roll(ok), and fresh spring rolls(incredibly fresh). My friend ordered medium spice on the pad khing and it was pretty spicy. I ordered mild spice on the basil rice and it was perfect for me. Overall, Haang’s was great and we’ll definitely be going back to try more fresh dishes.

My parents have talked about this place from the start! Living in Hawaii there is an abundance of fine and authentic Asian cuisine so my expectations were high for this restaurant. I can’t explain to you enough how good the food was! I started with the spicy Thai soup which was flavorful and had just the right amount of kick. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation was creative. My parents and I ordered 3 dishes to share, the sweet and sour shrimp, the basil fried rice and sesame chicken. All were fabulous! Haangs potions are generous and freshly prepared, everything was piping hot when it arrived to our table. The owners talked story with us and it was apparent their dedication for making food and providing a mouth water experience for their guests. I would highly recommend it if you are in the mood for Asian cuisine with a gourmet twist!
