Went to the range for the first time today. The guys made me feel really comfortable. Friendly and helpful team!

I’m a huge fan. I took my pistol permit class there and The range is outstanding. I have yet to encounter a staff member that isn’t extremely friendly and knowledgable.

I am a big fan. Took permit class with Ian who was very professional and clear about the seriousness of carrying a firearm. Since then i took a private lesson and purchased two pistols.
Everyone is very polite and helpful, unlike some big box stores who roll their eyes when you ask a question and act as if they
Are doing you a favor to speak with you.

Went shooting here with a friend and was able to get in right away despite it being a busy Sunday! No hassles and the range equipment was in good operating shape. The other patrons here were respectable and pleasant to interact with.

Excellent experience. Well stocked. Both pre and post ban items. Competitively priced and helpful staff. I didn’t have time to check out their range, but will update once/​if I do.

I’ve been coming here since they opened and I love it here. It’s clean, safe, and above all the epitome of friendliness and professionalism. And by the way, did I mention they don’t gouge you with their prices!

For the gun range: Reasonably priced at $ 23 for an hour, allowing you to bring your own ammo is a big plus although they have reasonable prices. 10 lanes, might be a wait on the weekends. The only bothersome thing is allowing large caliber rifles in there. The sound is deafening for an indoor range. It throws off your concentration. Otherwise a nice place for a rainy day.

What a great place! Where to begin? I guess the best thing about this place that really makes them stand out is their customer service. I am a novice gun owner and it is really refreshing to be treated like a valued customer. I have been to practically every major firearm dealer and range in the state of CT. What I have found is that nearly every single one of them has staff that are firearm experts, which is to be expected. What I found shocking though is that at most dealers and ranges if YOU are not an expert in firearms they treat you like a second class citizen, like you are an annoyance. Not at Delta though, they REALLY treated me right. I dealt for the most part with a young guy named Jimmy. I am sure I asked some very simple, maybe even stupid questions, but Jimmy treated me like the questions I asked were perfectly normal, and he could not have been nicer. As a result I ended up spending a couple hundred dollars today on night sights, Kydex holster, and an hour shooting on the range. And guess what? When it comes time to spend more money I am going to drive an hour to Delta to spend my money. That means driving past two other dealers, one of which is in my town! Anyone can learn to be a firearm expert, and there are plenty in CT, but Delta gets the fact that they are in BUSINESS, which means treating customers like, customers! Thank you Jimmy, and thank you Delta. I will be back to spend THOUSANDS of dollars with you. Go to everyone else first, then when you are ready to buy and be treated right, go to Delta Arsenal.

Indoor range is amazing. The staff is top notch and will help you out with any question you have. I haven’t spoken with a staff member yet that wasn’t willing to help with anything from a recommendation to a shooting tip. Top all that with all the different courses they offer and it’s a gun enthusiast dream spot. I’ve been to a few other indoor ranges in the state, but Delta Arsenal is my #1 choice when going to the range.

Nice indoor range. Large parking, chairs and tv if you have to wait. Good saftey on range. Have allot of guns for sale. They will even let you try before you buy. For a fee of course.

I started going to Delta Arsenal because it was the closest gun range near me and I’m glad I did, their range (or ranges now) are nice and clean, not temp controlled so bear that in mind in the summer it can get pretty toasty. They do let you bring your own ammo which is awesome! (non of that Tula garbage or your hand reloads, leave those at home you hobo!).
The owner Doug and the staff I find are helpful and patient, I’ve taken permit classes here and have done some one on one training with one of their instructors and it was professional and well worth the money.
If you are in the market to buy a fire arm they have a decent selection of new and used items, just don’t expect to get a smokin deal, I find other albeit larger retailers in the area have better prices. On the up side DA has hands down the best FFL transfer fee $ 20. Everywhere else wants $ 50 or up for what amounts to a 5min phone call. All in all this is a great place to go and train, service is friendly and facility is nice.

Great shop, great range and service is always polite and knowledgeable.
You will not be unhappy going here for guns and ammo.

So, I went to Delta Arsenal for the third time, and I love that place.
Each time I have used the indoor range, and I also have purchased varying amounts of merchandise as well.
Major thumbs up to the employees for being so friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I am pretty sure I heard that all of the employees are veterans (some still active) who have served overseas, except maybe one of the office staff.
Especially grateful for the guys behind the counter being so understanding when I asked so many questions and had to be shown some basic things, as I am relatively new to being a gun owner (less than a couple years, but learning rapidly, and enjoying learning about safety, cleaning, etc.)
There is nothing worse than going to a high-​end retail store (music store, for example) and getting snobby, know-​it-​all employees to help you. It can be intimidating, and make for an unpleasant experience, either with a quick exit, or purchasing something without being 100% certain. I have never had that experience at Delta Arsenal in my multiple visits working with different people, and I *have* experienced that at more than one gun shop in CT. I would feel absolutely comfortable sending my sister or younger cousin in there to buy something, and not feel they would be taken advantage of, or ridiculed for not being an advanced marksman who knows all the lingo.
I have spent close to a couple grand in there, between an EOTech holographic sight (which Henry zero’ed in for me, while I was using the pistol range… awesome!), a holster, some various parts, magazines, range time, and over 2,000 rounds of various rounds of target ammo, carry ammo, and their own reloaded once-​fired rounds (they are reloading 9 mm, .40, .45, 5.56, 308, and maybe a few other sizes as well).
I was really happy when after coming in for the third time, a few people remembered my name.
As I am a somewhat new shooter (especially with regard to handguns), I especially have appreciated the help Ian and Bobby gave me while using the indoor range. I basically learned how to clear malfunctions properly and effectively and efficiently and quickly from the range time I have had there.
Prices are very good, in my opinion. I travel a bit throughout the state, so I do pop in different shops each week, and the prices on nearly everything is competitive, and there are some incredible deals to be had, as well. I am hesitant to mention the specific ammo deals, as inexpensive, quality ammunition by the case is still so rare in very early 2014…
There is also a really nice used and consignment collection of rifles and handguns. A VERY nice selection. One could do real well to purchase their first (or 20^th) pistol/​rifle inside this shop.
Furthermore, the place is one of the few places in the state where you can rent pistols at the indoor range, and there are some real cool, unique options to rent & use! The Sig with the silencer? The collection of fully auto rifles on the wall? (This review would get ¹⁰⁄₁₀ stars if the indoor rifle range were open… I hope it opens soon! I have not yet seen it, but I have heard the indoor rifle range is 100 yards long, and is almost completed and ready, if not so already. I have also heard rumors there is a third range in the works, one which will permit 50 cal fire?)
By the way, the indoor pistol range is immaculate. The walls have fresh paint, the floors are buffed, there is absolutely NO stray holes or ricochet marks along the walls, floors, ceiling, etc., and the temperature inside the range is pleasant. In fact, I have not noticed any issue with the temperature, so I would imagine it is probably between 65 – 70 inside there. Immaculate, brightly lit, and super attentive & helpful Range Officers make Delta Arsenal’s indoor range my absolute favorite place to shoot handguns in the state of Connecticut!
This was a lengthy review, but I have been treated very well each time I visit Delta Arsenal… and when I get poor service I tell a couple people… and when I get impeccable service, I try and tell a hundred!

I was not sure what to expect for the pistol permit course, but it was great! One thing they made sure we understood up front is that we would not be doing a ton of shooting, which he said a lot of people were disappointed about. I felt like we needed the classroom time; we learned a lot of valuable info and shooting the gun is something we can do once our permits are all set. One thing that really helped me to be comfortable was how careful but confident everyone seemed about guns. I didn’t expect this, but it helped me more comfortable with the idea of owning a gun down the road.
I guess their facility is new. They were still working on some of the sections but the whole thing was totally functional, worked great for the class and the people on the gun range for the day. The building and the bathrooms were very clean.
The instructor was great as well. He was a good teacher (very patient and paid attention and corrected mistakes while still allowing you to have your own personal style). Although I wasn’t concerned before hand about this he was very positive toward the women in the class and was great about newbies. I feel we learned what we needed to know… in addition he joked around which helped keep the mood a little light, but he was very clear that guns are serious and you can’t take back any mistakes.
We met a few other employees between checking in and the gun range and everyone was nice and attentive. They were good at correcting and coaching without snapping. Very positive learning environment. I would recommend this place for any age or ability.

Pistol Permit class was very informative and fun! The salespeople are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to answer all of my questions and help me understand everything there is to know about guns. A great place to go, especially for women who may feel a little intimidated to buy their first gun. I was so comfortable!

Attended a handgun safety course to gain knowledge and respect for guns. The instructors are professional and experienced experts. Their passion is contagious and I gained the understanding and confidence needed to appreciate these power weapons.
