Neil is very trustworthy. He always explains the issue and various options. He has never tried to up sell me any unnecessary services. I have been using Saf-​T Auto for a couple of years and my experience has always been a great one.

Found Saf-​T on Unilocal (Go Figure). My car was overheating from the night before and I wasn’t sure of the problem because I had already put coolant in my car. Spoke with Neil, he was very polite and took a concern to the needs of my car. I was able to bring it in so they could do a thorough inspection of my car to find the direct issue. The wait time was pretty lengthy, but it was a holiday so I assumed everyone was bringing their car in to get something fix. Neil and the front desk staff are extremely friendly they even offered to give me a ride home until my car was done. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Meriden, Middletown and other areas nearby. I do appreciate the quality of customer, car and method of payment services that Neil provided, and the complimentarily wifi.

I have FINALLY found a car repair facility that does care about their customers! I brought in my car today for a courtesy inspection and an oil change; didnt know what to expect and my car had gazillions of things to get repaired! Neil made it very easy for me to actually understand what I was paying for and was very polite And helpful! They even provided me with transportation because I didnt have a ride back home! This is my permanent spot to have my car repaired!

I got a nail in my tire and brought it here for repair after finding this place on Unilocal– they were able to get it done by the next day and it was under $ 20. Neil at the desk was so friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!

I recently brought my 12-​year old VW bug to SAF-​T to have my power window repaired. I was impressed by the entire experience: Neil was friendly and checked me in efficiently and the waiting area was clean and neat. When the problem had been diagnosed, I received a phone call and a very clear explanation of the repair needed and the price. It was expensive, but Neil completely explained why the parts were so costly and the difference between repairing a window regulator in my car vs. some other cars. I felt very comfortable, knowing I wasn’t getting ripped off. My car was ready in 24 hours, the pick up was hassle-​free, the price was exactly as stated over the phone and no one tried to upsell me anything else. I will definitely be going back for future repair work.

Came in with a tire problem – and left happier than I could have hoped due to their willingness to write off costs that most people would have over-​charged or at the last charged baseline for.
Christina and Dan were so honest, helpful and affordable (actually, that’s an understatement). Oh and fast as friendly, too.
I will be recommending all my friends and family in the area go here… and I am now wishing I lived closer so I could go here for all my car needs!

I got a blowout on the Interstate. I found SAFT on Unilocal.Neil took care of me quickly giving me a range of price options for a new tire. He got the new tire promptly and his staff put aside current work to mount it. I was back on the road in under 2 hours. Thank you SAFT for a job well and efficiently done!

I can’t imagine bringing my car anywhere else from now on.
I have had my car for 10 years, and my husband does most of the maintenance, but due to an injury we decided to find a shop to diagnose an overheating issue.
After being told my car was fine by another mechanic, I had a feeling they weren’t right. We knew we needed a second opinion.
My husband called SAFT, and Neil happily spent a good 20 minutes going through the symptoms. Just by talking to them, you can tell they are honest and know their stuff. Jorge helped us on our way out, and was more than happy to answer all of our questions and explain everything they did. They did a thorough bumper to bumper inspection, and came up with several issues that also needed correcting (all vetted as real/​maintenance issues), with no pressure from SAFT to correct any of them. My car has 175k miles, with never having a «service» so this is all to be expected.
SAFT diagnosed and corrected my overheating issue, as well as the belt squeaking I was experiencing.
I have never had such a good feeling about a mechanic shop, ever.

I’ve been to many mechanics and Saf-​T Auto is the only place that ever gets it right. They do everything they can to accommodate you. They are always super friendly and I trust them 100%. Never had any issues with them and my fiancé and I have been going to them for several years now with 3 different vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone because it doesn’t get any better or honest than this place!!!

Brought my car in for a simple brake job. After 50k+ miles I needed new pads and rotors on all 4 wheels. Cost: ~$ 750. Fine, go ahead. All part of owning a performance vehicle. These guys just could not get it right. I immediately noticed a pronounced squeal (which indicates current damage to both pad and rotor) when I picked up the car. I brought it back… FIVE TIMES over the following month. Every time I was told the problem was fixed. Every time, they were wrong. I ultimately gave up, knowing these clowns were completely incompetent. Still mulling over whether to take them to small claims court. I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER HAVE ANY WORK DONE HERE AGAIN. Suck it up, pay the extra n% and go to your dealership. I wish I had. Stupid me. Don’t be stupid, too.

This business was recommended to me when I bought my first car, and I won’t go anywhere else for repairs! They are honest and won’t even charge you if you get a checkup and there’s nothing wrong with your car.
Today I had to have two protective covers repaired underneath my car and an oil change AND a checkup: about $ 50! Amazing. I love these people.
