We had A Cut Above bid on our outdoor landscaping project in Alamo and ended up picking them. It was a sizable project including a new driveway, bridge, spa pad, patio, pergola, fire pit, drainage, fencing and retaining wall. The customer service was excellent thanks to Sammy as was the work crew run by Alarvo. These guys were in our yard for months and we never had an issue. They used quality materials, were respectful of our property and were always responsive to my many change requests. I priced out a lot of different options and multiple contractors and found the best fit of price and quality was to let A Cut Above do everything we wanted. The larger the project the less you’ll pay in many cases and piecing out our project was much more expensive. Overall very happy and would recommend them.

I recently hired Jose and his awesome team to completely re-do my sloped backyard in San Ramon. Jose did an exceptional job. Completed the work ahead of time and there were absolutely no surprises or deviation from contract terms. I have had some bad experiences from Contractors in the past, but Jose was very professional, courteous and responsive. I would highly recommend him and his team.

I would like to take a minute to personally Thank Jose and the members of A Cut Above for their immediate response to my High Wind damage… involving a big tree that broke and fell over my fence and into and across a very busy street here in Walnut Creek. The temporary repairs were done in a most timely fashion and more repairs mostly cosmetic to the fence and remaining tree stump will be completed in the next few days. These folks are professional in the work they do and respond accordingly. I do recommend them highly, but can you wait until they are done here please!

I was looking for a reliable and trustworthy contractor, which is difficult to find. I got lucky and found this company and I am glad we had them work on our property.
After calling them for an estimate Sammy, the Operations Manager was at my doorstep within 45 minutes providing me with a significantly better bid than the previous ones I had from other businesses. During the work at my property they were always on time and I can tell you, they are really good at what they do.
I would highly recommend this business & Sammy if you are in the market for Concrete, Landscaping and/or Home remodeling work at your place.

A Cut Above was excellent for our 90 year old mother. They always did a great job, came regularly and took care of everything related to her very, very large front and back yard. After 4 years, she has moved into an apartment and is sadly leaving these «friends». I recommend them and their landscaping and mowing services highly.

I interviewed several «Mow and Blow» services before I hired Jose and his crew to get things done on our yard (I was pregnant and couldn’t do it myself anymore!).
They invariably did a great job with our yard, and Jose was always on call when we had sprinkler issues, or we needed something planted or a special project of any kind. His prices were always fair and his guys were friendly and worked very hard to make sure our lawn stayed beautiful.
