Service is quick and there are no massive lines like at Petes so the service cannot be beat.

whats not to love about library café ?! the sandwiches/​salads are delish, peets coffee nice and strong, huge drink selection and homemade pastries fresh daily! the soups here are also great and everything is super clean!

Met up with some friends over the weekend. We all parked at the library garage. Before leaving we decided to get Pete’s coffee to drink on the way home. The cashier was friendly, good selection of coffee, snacks and sandwiches. Would recommend this great café

This coffee shop serves the strongest coffee and espresso out of all of my favorite coffee places. The staff here is so courteous. I accidentally spilled a drink today, but they were on it, cleaning up the spill and fixing me another drink, with smiles on all of their faces! This coffee also gives me a nice boost, it’s nice and strong!

I was at the Walnut Creek Library today for a training class in the Technology Room. It was a great place for this sort of thing, starting with the parking lot ($ 1 per Hour) below and continuing with clean, comfortable, and modern facilities. Plus I actually learned something.
We were on our own for Lunch and Downtown Walnut Creek has a plethora of dining options. However and short of fast food (Burger King is a few blocks up Broadway), there’s a dearth of walk-​up places compared to the many sit down restaurants available. Yet, right here on the first floor of the Library (on the Maria Maria side) was the pleasant deli surprise called Café Pica.
I ordered a Chicken Pesto Sandwich (with goat cheese), chips, and a soda, and had a choice of sunny indoor or spacious outdoor seating. My huge bonus is that I called Gayle, who walked over from Walnut Creek City Hall and joined me for Lunch. The prices were reasonable, the food was delicious, and of course the company and conversation were stellar. Then after we finished, we took a stroll together around Civic Center park and called it a wonderful noon time date.
