Christine is truly the best tool you can add to your parenting toolbox. Line her up before you ever have the baby and you will be in the best hands ever! She is truly passionate about helping parents feed their babies and extremely knowledgeable; she has an answer for everything! I had Christine help me with my second child because feeding had been so stressful with my first. She actually came to the hospital the day my child was born to make sure she was latching ok and gave me several tips with how to help her not lose too much weight the first few days. She was an incredible resource when I had engorgement issues and later on helping me time when to pump to decrease(engorgement pain) or increase supply. Breastfeeding my second child was still challenging, but Christine was so incredibly helpful, answering phone calls and even coming to my house, that it made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again if I were to have another child!

Christine was the best investment i have made in the first weeks of my son’s life. I was so confused by different information that is out there. Parents, grandparents, books, friends… I just wanted to know if my little boy was doing good. And i didn’t know how to find that out. I had some blocked ducts and i just was not confident that breastfeeding was working. When i called Christine, she provided me with a lot of information before i even hired her. This to me meant that she really wanted to help people and spread her knowledge. I ended up hiring her even though the cost seemed high. And the few hours that she spent with us were so precious. She was able to tell me that my son was actually eating very well. And we practiced different positions for breastfeeding. She made corrections to what i was doing in a very soft manner. She made suggestions about other things too, like different ways to hold the baby. She also pushed me out the door for the first stroller walk with my son, which both of us i think badly needed. Even after she left, she would check in often by email or phone to make sure things were still going good. She is definitely worth every penny!

I had a great experience with Christine. She was warm, attentive, thorough, very easy to talk to and calm while we were freaking out. She came to our house, observed a feeding(attempt), listened to everyone and everyone’s concerns, and helped a lot. We asked for Christine’s help several times — first when I got mastitis, when my daughter was 3 weeks, then when she wasn’t gaining weight a few weeks later(Christine diagnosed GERD, pedi confirmed), another time when I needed to get some reassurance about what we were doing(Christine reassured and gave tons of handy tips), a time when I had(or thought I had) yeast. And I thought breastfeeding would just kinda work out on its own. Two of those times she came to our house, and another time we came to the office. For the rest. we emailed and spoke on the phone. I’ve been most impressed by her follow –through — she continues to check up on you until you convince her that you’re okay. She makes time if ever you have more questions, and really takes the time to talk to you until you feel your issues are resolved. She now has an office with Dr. Simons’ and has started a weekly new mom’s group that she runs in there. Because, she said«all my moms are so wonderful, they should benefit from hearing each other’s concerns.»

I’m posting this review because I’m sure other new moms could use the help of a great lactation consultant. We were referred to Christine by our pediatrician when our newborn lost too much weight because she wasn’t nursing properly due to an issue with latching on. Christine is amazing – very passionate about her work and truly cares about helping babies and their families. She has a very calm, positive and reassuring deameanor. She came to our house which made a distressing situation so much more comfortable. Christine weighed our baby before and after to guage her milk intake, observed me attempting to nurse the baby, showed me how to get the baby in the proper position and how to get her to latch on, provided us with a specific action plan in writing(very helpful when you are a new parent and suffering from a lack of sleep!) and answered all of our questions thoroughly. She also made it a point to follow-up with us to see how we were progressing and provided additional instructions and reassurance. We are so grateful to have found Christine so that we didn’t have to give up on breastfeeding and miss out on all of its benefits!
