David’s Nails

They did a great job. My boyfriend called earlier in the day and we were able to get appointments that afternoon. Good price and good pedicures. They use sterile equipment and the salon is very clean and everyone is very friendly.

AMAZING! Judy does the best gels in town. Fast and friendly… price is right. Watch a chick flick and bring your wine. Once you go, you will be a regular. Judy has a loyal customer base that have been with her for years! I am going on two years and hope to be there until I am at Rossmoor (like many of her regular clients). Love!

This has to be one of the very, very few places that actually follows rules and regs for cleanliness… They sanitize tools after each use, cycle through the water after every pedicure and run a solution through each morning. Other places I have been to fail to do this. They open new Emery boards each time, not reuse on the next person.

Love this place, and I’m quickly becoming a regular. Judy is meticulous and does an excellent job with mani’s. I loved my pedi, as well, but don’t remember who I had. Very welcoming, laid-​back atmosphere with great prices and service!

Love this place! Quick, reasonably priced, fun staff, and a movie playing everytime I’m there! They take great care of you :).

Been going here for over a year now and will not go anywhere else. Clean, friendly and reasonable prices. I only see Judy for my gels. they last at least 2 weeks without any breaks or cracks and I am hard on my nails. The pedicures are wonderful and relaxing. I have recommended several people who are regulars now.

I’ve got my nails done here couple of times now and I’ve always had great service! I’m always a walk in and they’re always accommodating. I’ve never had a bad experience with my nails. I usually get the French tip fake acrylic with gel on top and I love it every time. And I love how they always have a great movie playing so I can watch it while I’m getting my nails done. I would highly recommend David’s nails!

Judy is the best! I have been coming here for years as a loyal customer. The customer service is great and the various services are very reasonably priced. The place is clean and well kept. They keep their tools clean and new. When you come to David’s, you are in good hands!

Well, guys, here we are, still trying to do the «heavy lifting» just for you! This is the second place here in Walnut Creek that my partner and I have ventured out to, trying to find the BEST place that does male manicures and/​or pedicures, and alas, we are now batting 0 for 2.
David’s is not THAT close to where we live, but the cab ride there isn’t too expensive. It’s a small, nondescript place as many nail salons tend to be, that are in smaller strip malls. It was clean, for the most part, with massage/​foot spa chairs that were in pretty good shape. (And we’ve seen some chairs that were truly BUSTED.)
I had scheduled the appointment a couple of days before, and it didn’t take them long to seat us and get us settled in. I didn’t mind that Bear got tended to first, but there wasn’t a lot of staff there that day. Everyone was busy, which I guess is a good sign. But I sat with my feet in cold water for nearly twenty-​five minutes, before anyone finally came to check on me, and that was only when my tech, who said her name was «Rose», finally came over to get me started. As treatments go, it was «okay», from the trim to the light foot massage that came at the end. But I’m beginning to realize how ‘spoiled’ we actually were with our old place, Cherry’s, which we went to quite frequently in VA, when we lived there.
It didn’t help that when Bear went to pay, and wanted to know if he could put the tips for the ladies on the bill and asked if it would be split between them, there was something of a language barrier problem. It got sorted out in the end, but it took some patience.
Overall, I would say that David’s probably provides a much better experience for the gals than the guys. So… we’ll keep looking.

I have been going to Davids nails for about a year now. I have brought my husband and my daughter for Prom. Judy always does a great job at making you feel at home and taken are of. She does great eyebrows, mani, pedis and massage. I recommend her to every one.

I’ve been here twice and the look of their work was pretty good. What kinda sucked was the amount of time I spent there.
The first time I went in for a mani and pedi I was there for an hour and 45 minutes! They were not that busy either! The second time I went in I planned for the long visit but I was out in 45 minutes and the same service was now $ 10 cheaper. My complaint is the non consistency… you never know what your going to get. But it’s cheap and the outcome is good so I’ll be back… I think.

Judy is great. Don’t let anyone else do your nails– she is significantly better than the rest of the people working there. I always call ahead so she can recommend the best time to come. Even if you don’t call you’ll rarely wait more than 20 min.
This is not a fancy salon by any means, but it is very close to my house and much cheaper than other salons downtown. They also have a great selection of chick flicks to watch.

Excellent customer service! I came an hour before closing and was the only and last customer in there. Most places would just rush you but John took his time and was very detailed! Thanks John! I’ll be coming back to see you!

I loved this place! The ladies were very friendly and didn’t make me feel bad about my jacked up nails. I got a pedicure and manicure and they both came with a massage which in my book is a must. I liked that they played movies and had a large movie collection. If I lived closer this would be my go to place. They only charged me $ 32 for a mani/​pedi. I really liked this place.

Cheap and cheerful. Not much ambiance, but very good service and nice leg massage. I would go back. I had Judy as well, who seems to run the place.

4.5 excellent service, great value and nice selection of colors and polish brands. They did a pretty toe flower design and good massage/​wrap with warm towel as well. Ambiance/​lighting is not great, but had movies playing for entertainment and comfie chairs.

I wanted to like this place because everyone else loves it and it’s so close to where I live, I wanted it it to be «my place!» Meh. I got a pedicure and manicure on two separate occasions. FYI, they don’t use individual basins for foot baths, it’s the chair that comes with the jets. It’s also the chair with the built in shiatsu massager that is operated by a remote. It was relaxing in the first 3 minutes but I didn’t know how to work the remote so it became torturous but then I ended up turning it off. The actual pedicure was ok. Leg/​foot massage lasted for a while but it was kind of rough. They also convinced me to get a flower design! But how can you say no when they hand you the samples of designs to look at.
I was there for a manicure last week. Fastest manicure of my life! That is not a good thing. I came on a Saturday and all the nail technicians were busy giving pedicures. I didn’t mind waiting since I didn’t have an appointment. I think the manicure lasted as long as my wait time, 20 minutes. It felt rushed. It seemed like the owner had a good rapport with her clientele though. Sorry, no rapport building here. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
Diva Nails… here I come!

So I really like this place, and Judy is fantastic, but unfortunately I have not had Judy or David the last two times I came in. I have had this other lady, who is very friendly, but does not have the same pedicure skills as her coworkers. On both occasions she has painted the polish too thin so that it chips and it is very see through. Its annoying because this place has a fabulous deal, and I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but this lady should stick to just the massages and let someone else paint.
