Ah, Dolphin Dreams. I have not been there in a number of years, but was a frequent customer in my teenage years. I remember walking into the store and seeing a plethora of candles, incense, crystals, and more welcoming me. The staff there was always friendly and helpful. It is a great place to what interests you. When I went, I was a precocious teenager and wanted to try new things. It brings back fond memories because I remember Dolphin Dreams offering a world beyond mine. If you are in downtown Walnut Creek, check it out. You might find a new hobby or interest.

Name has changed to The Mystic Dream I believe. New owners, lots of changes. Hopefully, Dawn is still works here because she’s ultra nice and cool. Spiritulist Sandra Nevarez is no longer here. She does show-up once in awhile at InSPA rations in Danville. For the ‘burbs like Walnut Creek, this is great place to escape. Candles, crytals, tarot cards, books, etc. all add up to a fun hour or two. Watch out where you park though — the WC Parking Patrol are like frickin’ leetches.

Dolphin Dream has a special place in my heart, the part that remembers my 13-year old self buying tarot cards, books on magick, incense, candles while becoming increasingly disillusioned with what mainstream religion had to offer me. And though I’m no longer entertaining ideas about casting spells, I still appreciate the kindness of the Dolphin Dream staff showed me and my friends,(a real rarity for teenagers in most places) as well as their openness and willingness to help their patrons without being overwhelming or condescending. It’s also a wonderful place to buy jewlery and small gifts, as well as a bastion of information on nearly every religion and spiritual practice you might be considering.

I got my first set of Tarot Cards here! Truth be told, I haven’t been here since 1999 or 2000, but it’s one of Walnut Creeks only«alternative» stores.

I have a great appreciation for this store and what they have to offer. Not only do they have great books, candle, crystals, etc. But classes are often held here for many different things. I attended an animal communication class that was very spiritual and fun. Many classes are meant to broaden are senses and utilize our communication not only with other people, but also animals. I really enjoyed the class and love this store!

Now that the«Anonymous Place» is out of business in downtown W.C., this is the small store you would go to that has the new age and self help books your looking for, with the bonus that you can stroll by the witchcraft section and see if there is anything that interests you there. They have lots of incense, candles, fairies, and angel products, along with jewelery, crystals, semi-precious stones, and many other fun things to see and buy.

I have been in Dolphin Dream many a time. It’s a easy place to stop by and get someone you hardly know a nice gift for any occasion. They have necklaces, tarot cards and lots and lots of candles. It’s very new-agey. One thing I don’t like about them is that they never get anything new in, it’s always the same stuff. I have actually taken part in one of the many interesting things offered for a small fee. There’s palm reading and meditation, but I was bought a finger print read by a friend. I was mildly impressed but thankful I didn’t have to pay for it because it would not have been worth it. All in I rather like this store, but it’s not a place I go to buy anything more than candles and gifts for people I can’t find anything else for.
