Jack in the Box

Jack’s fast food is usually enjoyable and it was here. A bacon cheese burger at 6: am was a nice reward for being out and about before daybreak. To bad that the person who took my order and handed to me was grumpy. She even glared at me when she gave me my burger. I still thanked her.

Ate the sausage Burrito in the morning and later in the day I feel like vomiting and have the worst stomach cramps. I will never eat at this place again…

The biggest Ahole works the drive thru window in the mornings on Friday. She really hates her job and lets you know if you do ANYTHING different on the menu its going to be a problem. I’m allergic to pork so I have to ask for a breakfast sandwich with chicken. Im not a jerk I asked first if she had said no I would have gotten a cheese and egg sandwich. She kept cutting me off during my order and telling me its not on the menu. And giving me a lot of attitude for ordering my sandwich. Then I get to the window and she continues to lecture me. Like I made her go kill a chicken to put it on my sandwich she was so pissed. She threw my food and card back at me and didn’t give me a receipt. So like any normal person I didn’t leave I checked my sandwich to see if she spit in it. She opens the window and rudely asks me «Is it ok? Because you need to leave I got a line!» Its 6 am lady what the hell is your problem!? Its way too early for all that just take my simple ass one sandwich order give me my food and keep it pushing. Not hard. Im quite certain she spit in my food. It was already made she took it went behind the wall where I cant see her and then came back with my sandwich THEN got a bag and some napkins, why did you take my sandwich to the back? Yeah I’m going to corporate with this one. I would expect this from a teenager but this lady was at least in her 40s, and I’m being nice. If I didnt have to rush for work I would have went in and delt with this situation. I will never go here again.

Highly disappointed with my first visit to this location. I had a coupon for a free jumbo jack with a purchase of a large drink. I ordered a jumbo jack and a coke. When I went to pay no total was ever given to me at the window. My payment was just taken and I was sent on my way. When I looked at my receipt I saw that I had been charged extra for cheese I never asked for on my burger (.80). It’s not a lot of money but it’s the principal. You should be repeating your customers order back to them. It was correct on the screen when I ordered so why would it change?! Needless to say I won’t be going back to this location.

Every Time I have a late night craving jack in the box’s crispy chicken strips and curly fries hit the spot. Not to mention the guy who works the drive thru late at night is so funny and nice. His name is Ariel and I would go to the drive thru just to talk to him. He remembers my order AND my name! 5 stars just for ariel!!!

Free parking! But there tacos are limited, limited meat, overly hard taco shell… Spare on everything.

Went to our favorite fast-​food place on the 19^th, that would be Jack in the Box here in Walnut Creek, and got the new Black Pepper Cheeseburger and it was GOOD! They cost $ 4.39, well worth the price. And added with that was an order of curly fries.

I really like coming to this location of JITB.
My order is always right and the tacos are hot.
The only quibble I have is to please mark with a small sign whether the ice tea is sweet or unsweet. Hint to other Unilocalers: it is unsweet. The Equal and Splenda is next to the soda fountain…
Will eagerly return for more taco excitement!

Was told tonight by Tito «it’s too expensive» to give me a cup of cheese sauce for my fries. But they can pour it over the fries if I wanted. Seriously?

The food is typical Jack however as others have Unilocaled, the staff & service is terrific! Was hungry for a Steak & Egg Burrito without potatoes. I’ve asked for changes before & have always been accommodated. The fellow in the purple T who took my order tonight at the ungodly hour of 4:25 a.m. couldn’t have been nicer on the speaker & at the window! Thanks! Give that guy a promotion!

mayra likes to handle the food with her bare hands after she’s rung up your transaction.

What happened to this place?
New Ownership? Management? This used to be the best Fast Food place in the area but the service has gone downhill. It was managed by a hispanic gentleman and some very friendly ladies. The last couple of times I have visited, 2 younger girls were running things.
No more «Good morning!» and no smile. No «Thank you» or «See you next time!»
Just «$ 10.81!» Followed by «Want ketchup?» I said «Yes please.» And asked for cream and sugar for my coffee. She said it was in the bag as she handed me everything at once. I took her word for it and drove off as there was a long line of cars behind me. Only to find out I was given no cream, no sugar and worst of all no receipt :(On my last visit they forgot to give me salsa and no straw to stir my coffee with. These are little things, but they add up after a while. Especially since the prior staff was so good. Next time I’ll ask for my receipt and fill out their survey. IF I ever go back!

Always a great place for fast food really late night when everywhere is closed .the food was great. The number 1 and 10 DeFF the best on the menu. Tacos are pretty good too

This is the second time in a row my Bacon and Swiss Buttery Jack didn’t have bacon. Or any kind of sauce whatsoever. It did have two giant tomatoes though… Which I am allergic to. If I didn’t work downtown I would most definitely take it back. Next time I will rip it apart in the drivethru and demand my bacon. MY ORDER WAS RIGHT ON THE SCREEN BEFORE I PULLED FORWARD! meh

I just wrote a scathing review of the unfriendly Clayton Rd Jack and the Box and felt like I need to balance out the karma from my bad review of that embarrassment to Jack N Box.
In contrast, the N. Main place is consistently friendly, with possibly the friendliest workers on par with In N Out. The food so freshly cooked I often can’t eat it until halfway to work because it’s so hot. Despite often long drive thru lines they manage to move things along. My go to place for 24 hr breakfast.

Being that this was Christmas Day, I didn’t expect this place to be open. The only restaurants I expected to be open were Chinese places. Nothing says Merry Christmas like Lo Mein noodles strung across your tree like tinsel.
When we drove up, it seemed as though it was a tiny store. When we entered, it seemed even smaller with so many people in line. It was a bit slow – maybe, I’m being generous because they were working on a holiday.
They left the cash register unoccupied for a while and then, a manager arrived. He got my first item wrong. Does «nacho taco» sound like «2 for 99 cents tacos»? He corrected that quickly and got everything else correct.
It took some time to get the food, and my buddy who was behind me in the line got his first.
The food was surprisingly okay. The fries looked oily, but they were fresh. The nacho cheese from the taco was everywhere, and when I returned to get napkins, I had to get them out of the paper bag because the dispenser was empty.
It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t great, either.

The absolute BEST JIB in the world: great food, extraordinary friendly service, great people, clean restaurant. This should be their model store. Great job Blanca!!!

This would’ve been a five star reveiw if it was based solely on customer service but the food was just not right it was good and fresh but nothing was made right meaning with the right ingredients for the right sandwich

Awww Tuesday. My favorite day of the week and the most appropriate one for another taco review.
Honestly, this JITB location is as close to five star as fast food can get. The parking here is a nightmare though. If the drive-​thru line is more than a few cars long, it makes parking for us dine-​in people a nightmare. The drive-​thru cars block the spots and the way to the exit. During prime fast food hours I’ve also seen the line of cars reach the end of the parking lot, spilling onto N. Main Street. Not fun.
BUT… at the end of the day (literally) when all the other establishments have locked their doors and turned off their lights, Jack is waiting for you. «Come eat here» his voice calls somewhere in the back of your hungry mind. You can even dine-​in at a clean table — 24 hrs a day! Pretty awesome.
They used to have a great (healthy-​ish) teriyaki bowl. I liked that a lot. And the curly fries are pretty good. My favorite menu item is ultimately the taco (2 for $ 1.00!!). It wasn’t always my favorite. An ultra-​greasy shell with oily, wilted lettuce and a fried cheese slice over the meat-​product inside… hmmm, not so much. But if you ask for extra lettuce they throw it on after cooking the taco. So you get your hot taco and crunchy shell with fresh, crispy lettuce. It totally changes the taco. Learning to ask for this has renewed my love for this killer deal on the JITB Value Menu. And this is the best location to order it from!
PS — I’d love to see more vegetarian options. Can you please make potato tacos?
