L’Occitane

First, the new location is beautiful! The chandelier is made up of L’Occitane products, and the floor to ceiling windows allow lots of natural light. It’s smaller than their original location, but they’ve managed to maintain the same inventory and selection (which is very nicely displayed).
I’m a big fan of the brand, and thoroughly enjoy the quality of the products. My personal favorites are the almond oil, the shea butter hand cream, and their lip balm. The products are a bit pricey, but totally worth it.
I’ve been going back and forth about which product to use on my face, and Cassandra was SO helpful. She tested my skin type, explained all the options she recommended for me (without pressuring me to buy anything), and helped me choose the Immortelle precious cream. If you’re in the market for new skin care and have any questions, I highly recommend talking to Cassandra.

I love their hand creams. I work in the medical field so I wash my hands a lot. The hand cream leaves my hands moisturized and soft. Plus they smell so lovely.

I’ve been to this store several times and for the first time, I received a very good service and I didn’t even spend a dime! I came in to return/​exchange and Rebecca was friendly, attentive and very helpful. I’ve come to a store and spend over $ 200 and didn’t get the same service, not even close. Thank you again, Rebecca. You’re awesome!

It was a fairly relaxed Saturday afternoon and I just happened to wander into the store. There was no one in sight, the employee was very helpful and attentive. Ended up buying a gift set for Mother’s Day, we’ll see if the actual products themselves are up to snuff, some of the products can get a little on the pricier side.

I’m into L’Occitane. It’s where I get some home essentials like bar soap, hand lotion, shower gel, back up shampoo and conditioner for guests, candles, and room sprays. The fragrances are refreshing yet subdued, the products are well made, and they aren’t overpowering or annoying to people who have sensitivities to perfume. I’m actually more of a fan of the soaps from the men’s section but fragrance wise, I favor the cherry blossom and the lemon verbena. The cherry blossom is so delicate and feminine while the lemon verbena has a fresh aroma that works for both women and men.
This place is great to pick up gifts during the holidays because they can assemble any of your purchases to look like one of their boxed sets wrapped in their custom packing materials. I don’t think anyone has ever been disappointed receiving anything I’ve bought from here.
This location has substantial inventory and it’s basically the same size as the San Francisco store. It’s right in Broadway Plaza so it’s convenient to stop in while you’re doing other shopping. The customer service is better than average. The women working here are always friendly and they ring you up quickly with no fuss.
Overall, L’Occitane’s products are undeniably lavish. You’d be crazy not to drop in, sample some, and at least see what they’re about.

I love, love, love L’occitane products. My husband and I were introduced to these products in Carmel and have been hooked ever since!
I finally purchased the Almond Supple Skin Oil. It smells so good and not heavy at all. My skin is thanking me :)

So every year my office has a holiday party with a white elephant gift exchange. The gifts are usually pretty good, though, this year I took a digital picture frame and went home with season two of a TV show on BBC. (!!!) ONe of the most popular and stolen items on the table was a hand lotion from L’O. I had never heard of it but the ladies said they buy it when they find it duty free and that they love it.
SO I went in to the store before Christmas and purchased a big tube ($ 28) for my Mom and grandma-​in-​law. My mother-​in-​law has an allergy to spf so husband and I went back for another big tube and some little ones ($ 10) when we read it’s spf free. They sold little keys $ 5 to get all of the stuff out of the tube and we bought some of those too.
I heard today there is an outlet in the new Livermore outlet mall that has significantly reduced prices on the shower and bath products. I really liked a perfume ($ 50) I smelled as we were walking out — I’ll probably go soon and see if the outlets carry it.
Great customer service — the employees were very willing to help and answer all of our questions.
Everyone really liked the gifts. His family is from France so that made it even cooler.

I love L’Occitane, especially their almond products. Service is always excellent here. Today I stopped in hoping for a refill of the Almond Shower Oil and they were out, but the clerk found me a large size bottle (same size as the refill) and gave it to me for the same price as the refill! Saved me another trip or having to order online!

Just walk in & smell everything. You’ll find your favorites, buy them, come back & then you’ll buy more of them. And it will never get old. This place has been one of my favorite places for a long time now. I am easily bored, (no wonder I love this french store– see I am so french with my «ennui» & snooty boredom, right?) but I’m just never going to get over this place, it is always exciting to come in & sniff lots & lots of little yummy smelly things. Good place to buy gifts as well as little things for just you.
5 stars to good old L’occitane & its long standing ability to send me into a blissed-​out scent-​coma. Viva la France! Oh & also yay to marrying American consumerism with the sweet charm of old Provence, let’s dwell for a second on THAT good idea, seriously!!!

Crappy return policy and crappy customer service at this location. I tried to return an item purchased online at this location and they said they could only give me store credit. I pointed out that the website clearly stated online purchases can be returned to any of their stores within 14 days. Still they wouldn’t budge saying I didn’t have a printed receipt (Who has a printed receipt when they purchased online? I had the packing slip.). Then they said they really don’t do online returns at the stores (even though the website said they do). I’m done with them and their overpriced stuff. I’ll be greasing my dry knees and elbows with that trusty old’ Vaseline from now on.
Update: I decided to give them another chance when I found a cute gift set on sale and was able to use a 15% off coupon. I placed the order online and got the confirmation. A day later I get a call from a blocked number saying they are out of stock of the item and did I want to choose something else or want a refund. I wanted a refund. She needed my card number and when I asked why they don’t have it she got an attitude and said the numbers are encrypted and therefore they don’t have the entire number. Needless to say I didn’t feel comfortable about giving my cc info out.

I love love everything L’Occitane produces! Fell in love on my first visit at a location in Paris, France on Rue de Faubourg Saint-​Antoine while studying abroad! But of course, couldn’t really afford it being a student and um, prices in Euros! So expensive!
But now, literally living a block or so down from this location, I am absolutely infatuated with the brand. All the scents are amazing, love the Cherry Blossom eau de toilette, the Peony eau de toilette, and just purchased Plum Blossom eau de toilette! I also love the Jasmine eau de parfum!
And a must have for everyone is their amazing shea line! The hand cream is great and I just recently started using their face care! So far so good!
I don’t ever have a complaint about this location and every person I’ve worked with has given great customer service and they’re all very knowledgeable and you know they love the brand too!

Love L’Occitane! Walking through the store makes me feel like I’m in a cute boutique in Paris. I love the lotions and potions and yummy smelling goodies. I especially love lavender home fragrances. They scent your home with the ubiquitous scent of Provence. Love it.
