I love this place! Organic ice cream made from local Strauss cream!!! Excellent flavors! Everything is salted, which makes it more tasty! It’s not as sweet as other ice cream but very refreshing. It is not as rich and heavy. Had the cream fresh with cocoa nibs, vanilla with almond toffee(yum)!, and lemon marshmallow! All very tasty. The lemon actually has some tartness to it, which is greatly appreciated! The place doesn’t have much place to sit but the ice cream is so good!!! I would make this my default ice cream place! Craving more just thinking about it! Can’t wait to try more flavors!

Food 4.5 Pretty awesome! Some flavors are great 1) vanilla salted almond toffee — we all agreed it was the best flavor! 2) chocolate — sounds normal but soooo rich! Service 4.5 Nothing to complain, nice and warm Environment 4 It’s clean and they have water, but not enough seats and no bathroom. Just a quick grab and go place :)

My friend & I first came in on a rainy day right after a heavy meal because even the rain couldn’t stop us from getting ice cream! We were excited to try this place because of the unique flavors that they offer & we’ve been to Walnut Creek hundreds of times yet we haven’t tried this place yet. We were looking forward to trying the Thai Tea, Earl Grey, or the Caramel Crème Brûlée but unfortunately none of them were offered the day we went. After sampling around, we ended up getting the Orange Blossom Honey & I must say that it was one of the most interesting ice cream flavors that I’ve had. The citrus flavor was present yet not overwhelming & as a whole, it tasted very creamy & almost like a tea flavored ice cream which I enjoyed. On top of that, the basic sugar cones are free! Their sugar cones were very crunchy but also tasted different from your average sugar cone as I detected a hint of citrus flavor in it. The place isn’t cheap as a single scoop is priced at $ 4. However, I don’t mind too much as long as the place offers/delivers exotic, unique, strong flavors that I wouldn’t be able to find in a pint of ice cream from a grocery store. Overall, I would definitely return to this cute, little creamery to try their other flavors! Also, you’ll be able to find out what flavors they offer for the day on their Facebook page if you wanted to visit for a particular flavor!

I come here all of the time to get the Vanilla Salted Almond Toffee and it never fails to satisfy my craving! Everyone that I bring with me to get ice cream falls in love with this flavor as well. Consistently good at a fair price for amazing quality ice cream. What else can you ask for?

What a cute little artisan ice cream parlor right in downtown Walnut Creek! It has seasonal flavors and is packed on a Saturday night. The price is steeper compared to CREAM next door but the flavor is intense, unique and very rich. It costs me $ 4 a scoop but I think the return is richer on my belly :) I really like their salted caramel nuts flavor as well as their seasonal pumpkin. Would definitely come back again after a major workout day to feel less guilty.

I’m trying to understand the $ 4-for-a-small-scoop-of-ice-cream trend, but I just can’t. Artisanal, organic, whole-milk, mint-infused, whatever… it’s milk and sugar whirred around for a bit and can easily be made at home(or bought for ~$ 3 a half-gallon at Safeway). We tried the Honey Vanilla($ 4, small), and shared, because we couldn’t fathom spending $ 10 for each of us to have our own small ice cream cone — yes, a tiny cone is an extra $.75. A bigger waffle one is more. Had we not been with friends that wanted to stop in, we probably would have bypassed Lottie’s altogether. With nowhere to sit down inside, we huddled around the fountain across the street. It was good, in that it tasted like vanilla ice cream with honey in it. If anything, stars added for inspiring me to go home and drizzle honey on store-bought vanilla. If you’re out and about and looking for a real treat, check out the Olde SF Creamery on Locust — $ 10 there will get you a gigantic, gorgeous sundae that can feed two people as a meal. Sorry, Lottie’s! You’re cute, but not cutting it.

The best ice cream shop in Walnut Creek and probably a good 15 mile radius as well. Ice Cream: They are a micro-creamery meaning they put big emphasis on using high quality natural ingredients. You know that’s exactly what you’re getting when you eat their ice cream. I’ve tried so many different flavors, so I’ll generalize it. The quality of the ice cream is consistently great, rich and creamy, decadent flavors, unique combination of ingredients, etc. My favorite flavors include: Vanilla Almond Salted Toffee, Honey lavender and of course, Strawberry. Ambiance: Adorable, hip, yet has an old-fashioned feel to it. I feel like I’m in a movie when I come here. Service: Very friendly from all of my past experiences. They’re great at making recommendations and let you sample as much as you’d like. Price: Reasonable for being a micro-creamery in WC. Overall: High quality ingredients, good service and great tasting ice cream makes makes for an overall sweet experience.
