My family and I have been going to Dr. Matsunaga for a few years and love him. He is very professional and kind.

My dentist of 20 years retired and sold his practice to a newly minted dentist who did not know alot about teeth and even less about customer service. I was referred to Chris and have been very happy ever since! He actually stops and asks me if he is causing me pain. Wow, that’s nice. Yes of course he is causing me pain, but so what, he’s also drilling a hole in my tooth!
He has helped me with issues around an implant tooth, a root canal, and a cracked tooth. I am sure he has saved me a lot of money by helping me himself and not forcing me into a specialist. He did refer me to a specialist for my root canal and I was very pleased with the lack of pain and the result.
I actually don’t mind going to the dentist now.

My family and I have been patients here for over 10 years. I’ve always had great experiences all around. Recently moved and will still be making the trip to Walnut Creek to see them!

After moving to the east bay, I had to stop going to best dentist in the world (Dr. Doug Miller of Burlingame!). After a few tries with recommended dentists who emptied my wallet, our family was referred to Chris.
I can say that Chris and his wife are the only dentists my kids have ever asked ‘when can we go back?’.
Chris is calm, polite and professional. I’ve had a few dental dramas in the past year and Chris’ advice was conservative (lets try this before we go and do this big thing) and accurate. I appreciate a dentist who is willing to try and fix something and not ‘sell’ you on some over the top procedure.

I’ve been to see Dr Matsunaga twice. The first time was for a filling. The second time was for a cleaning and exam. His dental hygeinist was very good, and Chris in affable.
