Great customer service. I went in to buy some foundation because they have an Estée Lauder counter there and Alicia helped me out. I had some questions on some of their other products and she was so helpful with answering my questions. I’m definitely going to go back when it’s gift time!(I love gift with purchase!!)

When I went there several months ago, I had a great experience! Khadija(«K») was so helpful while I was shopping! She helped give me really good advice when I asked her her opinions on different items of clothing. She was so friendly. Michelle the manager was amazing, too. Great people here!

I usually shop in the Napa store and love it. I have been in THIS store seversl times and had the same uncomfortable experience. The sales ladies in womens clothing are snooty and look down their nose at you. They are usually too busy doing other things than help me with anything, even being on the rude side. Some training in customer service ineeded. It as left a bad taste in my mouth so I will no t go back to this store, I cant imagine how they have stayed open…

This place was a joke. It reminded me of the old JByrons stores. We thought we should support our local businesses and quickly realized it was a mistake. We bought our daughter a pair of shoes at which time she decided to wear on her way home. The sales person told us that if she wore them out of the store we could not return them. Ummm!!! What’s the difference whether she put them on in the car or in the store? We didn’t say anything since our daughter was excited to wear her new shoes but we quickly made up our mind that we would never shop there again. Employees were stuffy and have no idea of what providing exceptional customer service is. I truly don’t blame them, I blame the leadership of the company for creating this terrible culture. This explains why the location near my job in San Ramon closed and why all the other reviews are so poor. I’m sure they will soon be out of business unless new leadership is hired and set new expectations. Even if this were to happen, it might be too late. Good luck.

i think this stores return policy is the worst!!! do not buy ugg boots from this store!!! my 11 yr. daughter saved her money to buy her first pair of uggs. we came here instead of nordstrom(first mistake) because i like to help out smaller businesses, and we have shopped here before. not shoes though! we got home and my daughter told me the fur feels funny, so i felt it knowing that i have had mine and know what they are suppose to feel like. well, these felt like a brillo pad inside. i took them back to the store in the box and the girl who helped us recongized me and my daughter who i brought with me again to return them for another pair. noticed the feel, and said ‘yeah, i can see what you’re saying”, but i have to get my manager.(michelle, store manager). she comes over and i pointed out how much softer other boots were and i’m really not satisfied with these we bought, and the inside down where the foot is, feels like it lifted up. so she feels the fur and says, well i don’t feel anything wrong. really? o.k. so i showed her other boots there, and she still didn“t! i said, «this just isn’t right, we spent alot of money on these boots and they should feel comfy like uggs are suppose to». i’ve had mine for 3 years and i know how they are supposed to feel. long story short… they went to the«shoe buyer», in lafayette store katie, and she was no help either, i had told all of them, it’s not about the money, it’s my 11 yr. olds first pair of uggs!!! so whatever, i’m writting this to boycott people buying uggs from this store! i’m all about giving great reviews, but i really need to warn about this shoe dept at walnut creek mccaulous!!! this is posted on my wall too on f/b from, never shopping at mccaulous! :-(

I will never shop at McCallous again. I have a number of small children, and so when I shop, I buy clothes to take home to try on, in the leisure of my home. And when I do, every time, McCallous staff has said, not a problem. Just keep the tags on and one can return without a problem. So I proceed, only to return a part(not all) of the merchandise in new condition, and only to be treated with complete disrespect and disdain, with 2 – 3 ladies poring over my receipt and clothing, acting as though I have done something wrong. Both times, they complained beause a pair of pants was wrinkled — even though the only thing I did was put it in and out of the bag. I told them to use a steam iron, and they responded, we don’t do that. I would prefer to pay more money at Nordstroms and get great customer service and no hassle returns than shop here again.

Mccaulous needs a serious indoor makeover… the floors and its general appearance are outdated and just old looking. Apart from that, the clothing selection is the same as the Lafayette location, yet the service is much better. The girl at the«young women’s» department was actually friendly. Still, clothing here is overpriced, I can get the same brands and labels at TJ Maxx for a fraction of what Mccaulous asks for.
