I just wanted to recommend Ed. He has a lot of experience, and will explain the whole process to you. I have been seeing him, for years now. He is very knowledgable, and just an overall good guy. I know many people say, a hairdresser is like a therapist, and he should have an honorary degree. He makes you feel relaxed, pampered, and cracks me up. I just had my second hair straightening procedure, and I love it. I feel so much better. I had wavy hair, that went in all directions. Now I just wash and go! It saves so much time. It’s so worth it.

Brad McGuire at Taylor Cody is a color magician. I have been going to him for about three years. I am going slightly gray around the hairline and had been putting off ever having my hair colored for fear of unnatural results. I am a low maintenance kind of gal and was dreading expensive color treatments for my whole head that would look different than my natural color. Brad dyes only around the hairline and the color match is perfect in my opinion. I also have Brad cut my hair (I actually started going to him for cuts and then moved on to color) and I always love the way he cuts my hair. I think he is a gifted hairdresser.

I recently went to Brad when I couldn’t reach my old hairdresser. He gave me a great cut, and even made some good suggestions. Price for Walnut Creek is reasonable — $ 45 for shampoo and a cut. Definitely going back!

I went to Ed on a referral from a good friend — I really needed a color fix on my bleached out blonde. I was greeted warmly by Brad & felt comfortable instantly. Ed was awesome from the minute I sat in his chair. He took the extra time to explain the process each step of the way. I love how the color turned out! I found my new hairdresser and couldn’t be happier!

I went to Taylor Cody over this past weekend, with a nightmare on my head! I’d gotten the worst hair color job when we were on vacation in Desert Hot Springs a few days earlier, and I was mortified to be seen in public, it was so horrid. Luckily Brad was an absolute magician and fixed up my color fiasco. I went from being a totally unnatural black haired *something* to being a woman with nice bronze/​brown hair which completely suited my skin tone and facial structure. I am completely thrilled by his expertise! Just fabulous!!!

Yonatan cuts my hair and does a fantastic job on color. He has a technique which keeps roots from showing and I can go from 6 weeks to three months without a touchup!

I usually don’t spend much money on haircuts and often let my wife cut my hair so I don’t have to pay anything. Sometimes however, I need to have a better haircut than my wife can give me (Sorry honey). On those occasions I will drive out to Walnut Creek from Oakland so Yonatan can cut my hair. He cut it before my wedding and has been cutting it for me for many years. Sometimes I come in with a specific idea about how I want my hair to look. Sometimes I just say «Cut it however you think it will look good.» and it always ends up looking good.
