Dr. Okamura is awesome! We have been going to Dr. O for five years now, for both my daughters since they were born. She has a great way with kids. She explains things thoroughly, doesn’t rush you out, and you never feel like you are wasting her time. With my first daughter, she understood that first time parents can be a little overly cautious, and she always understood. Both girls love her, we think she is great, it’s a win-win!

We loved Dr. Okamura right up until the point that my daughter ended up in the hospital because Dr. Okamura had missed signs that should be part of basic well baby care — not just my opinion, but that of a new pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist.
I wrote about this at length on Dr. Okamura’s previous business page, so please feel free to seek out the longer story. Strange that a new business page can be created that wipes out previous reviews.

Absolutely love Dr. Okamura. We have been with her for the past 6 years for both of my daughters, since they were born and we could not have been more satisfied. She’s extremely patient and not once had I ever felt rushed during a visit with her. Her staff have always been courteous, in person or over the phone. Advice nurses were literally my best friends as I would call so much and particularly, the nurse Kathleen was amazing. When Dr. Okamura was not available, we’ve seen Dr. Arthur Law and Dr. Kathleen Smith, both of which make a great team. All have the same great attentiveness you need. They just moved to a new location which is nice. Quite satisfied with them :)

Dr. Okamura is biased and will support one parent over the other by writing letters to family court asking the court to side with the parent who has lost her mind. She seems to be naïve with regards to the treatment of children with ADHS and with emotional issues.
I highly question Dr. Okamura’s professional integrity based on the letter she wrote on 3÷20÷2014 advocating private school for a minor as cure to his emotional issues. She has not even spoke to the child’s therapist and yet makes claim in support of the therapist, wtf?
