I usually love boba time even though some drinks are a bit pricey. However, today after buying a milktea and yogurt slush I was very disappointed after my milktea cup cracked and more than half the drink flooded my car… Next time I hope this won’t happen! ;__;

Eh, it’s alright. It’s on the pricier side, so points knocked off for that. The shop is small, but it has a very«chill» feeling to it. It looks like a good place to hang out with friends. There’s usually one or two employees there, so service is a bit slow. I’ve been twice and the first time I got the Dana Slush, which is a slush of your choice with frozen yogurt swirled on top. I got the Taro slush with boba and there’s only the original tart flavor for the frozen yogurt. The consistency of the slush was perfect, and the boba was alright too. The frozen yogurt is standard. It’s a fun concept, but probably wouldn’t get it again. The other time I’ve been I just got a boba milk tea. I wanted it less sweet, so the lady just added more milk to it since the milk tea is pre-made. The first couple sips were alright, but in the end, the milk tea made me feel nauseous. Also, the boba this time around wasn’t very good, the middle was hard and it didn’t taste fresh. I paid around $ 5 for a large and it was not worth it.

I absolutely love Boba Time. The atmosphere is so comfortable and laid back. The outside patio is large and spacious. They have a ginormous TV(it is the size of a smart car I think), fire pit-chimney like thing for cold nights, tents that cover a majority of the patio(on those rare rainy California days), and delicious drinks. The prices are on the higher side but you get a lot and they are quite tasty. You get what you pay for. The duet is amazing. It is a mixture of coffee/milk tea. It is my go to drink. I usually get boba in it too. The peach iced tea is pretty great too. They have tasty soft serve. The portion is generous but one person can finish it ;) The shaved ice is great as well. On hot days, this is the perfect dessert, lunch, breakfast… snack. haha… I love it. Again, enough to share but if you are on a mission, you could probably finish it by yourself. The family that owns this restaurant is the cutest. The wife who is usually at the store cares deeply for her employees and regulars. I used to go every day(I’m not over exaggerating) and she felt like family. She would ask how things in my life were going and if I needed anything to let her know. Seriously kind and generous woman. It does get busy sometimes but I always prefer a home-y feel over a corporate monster type feel. I highly recommend boba time for a place to chill, study, talk or meetings with larger groups.

It’s a cute little Korean place. I’m sick so I thought I’d try their ginger tea and it was nasty. It was spicy and just not what I wanted. But I tried my friend’s yogurt slush and it was good! I’ll try their other drinks next time. Their honey bread was yummy! I loved the fresh fruits on top. What I really liked is the set up of the place. It’s the perfect place to just sit with your friends, have good tea and talk for hours. The outside is cute at night from all the lights.

This place is awesome! When my friends and I walked in we didn’t expect to be seated and given a menu, but we were planning on staying awhile anyways so it was perfect for us. They also have a to-go option so if you want drinks on the run, that’s definitely an option! I ordered the blueberry iced tea with boba and it was delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness and I could tell they use real fruits in their drinks. The boba was just chewy enough(I usually like my boba a little bit chewier). My friends ordered yogurt smoothie with boba, hot milk tea, and normal iced milk tea. The yogurt smoothie is one of their most popular drinks and it’s quite tasty. It basically tastes like tart greek yogurt blended with honey and bits of fruits in it. The milk teas were pretty great as well, better than the average milk tea at other boba places. The service was great and they have plenty of seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating has a fireplace with blankets on the chairs that you can use(they saved me from freezing in the cold). Would definitely come back here again when I’m in the area!

BLUF: A nice café to take a group to. Good coffee and tea selection with boba add on options. The almond milk tea was great. Boba Time is group friendly as there are a bunch of couches and chairs around coffee tables inside and a fire and couches outside. During the winter, they also have blankets for you to use and stay warm. Additionally, the outdoor patio is smoker friendly area, whether that’s a plus or minus for you. They also have cards and games which is great for parties with little kids. You can either walk to the counter to order drinks and snacks or take a seat and a server will come to you. Be forwarded, if you do wait for a server, expect to be sitting for a solid ten minutes even when there’s no crowd unless you track down your sever. The Almond Milk Tea was one of the best PMTs I’ve had so far with semi firm pearls. The milk tea was rich and sweet but not over powering. Great place to go after dinner with a group and unwind.

PLUSANEXTRASTARFORBEINGOPENSOLATE. 9:50 pm, all boba places are closed but then appears, the hero that this town deserves: BOBATIME. No matter how cold, I will happily guzzle cup after cup of mocha frapp with delicious, delicious boba. I think I have a problem, honestly.

This is a good place to do some light reading and just relax with friends. there is good seating for parties of 2, 4, 8, and 10. the seats are really comfortable so you can order a drink and get studying/reading done for 5 hours without a problem. theres also a restroom for public use so that is always helpful. on a side note– they have blankets for customers to use. they are pretty clean and welcome to be used when it gets to chilly [: its a sweet touch. they also have a big tv outside. the outside seating is plentiful and is a great place to catch a football or basketball game. one problem is that people are constantly smoking outside so the smell comes in the café once in a while. the drinks are just okay and are overpriced. but you definitely pay for the ambiance and music. the shaved ice is good though. its a typical korean potbingsoo [red bean shaved ice with ice cream, various fruit, and condensed milk. mmmm] you come here for the seating, music, and wifi. not so much for a great meal/drink. i’ve also never had a problem with parking so thats a plus.

Service was better this time round, probably because it was 3 in the afternoon and I was one out of two people at the café but definitely a nice little study spot for late afternoons. It starts getting packed around 4:30−5 though. This time I got the duet again(less sweet, which is much better in my opinion) and shared a house special shaved ice and turkey avocado sandwich with my friend. The updated star is for the shaved ice, improved service, and nice ambiance. Shaved ice aka Korean Patbingsu was pretty good. The small size is good for two or three people, it’s a pretty big portion(although they don’t specify the price on the menu… strange…) it includes a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a variety of fruits including strawberry, kiwi, pears, peaches, grapes(the last three fruits are canned kinds though… but most patbingsu is made with fruit cocktail sadly… it’s pretty gross to me) mochi, boba, red bean, and sweet rice powder. It’s a pretty traditional setup and satisfying! I enjoyed it a lot. The sandwich is a no no no no… no. I’m not picky with my food so of course I still ate it, but it was basically like a sad knockoff subway sandwich. It seemed like it was premade and just taken out when ordered. The lettuce was soggy and there was so much mustard which my friend didn’t like but I was fine with. But now I kind of understand why I couldn’t find a picture of any sandwiches on Unilocal as reference. NOW I KNOW. But now I shall inform the public, stick to the ramen. I understand from first hand experience.

I used to come here when I was younger for their shaved ice during the summer, and they really don’t f*ck around with it! It’s loaded with a bunch of fruit and mochi, topped with fruity pebbles. Oh, and lots of ice cream which is always a plus :) I used to love sharing this with my girlfriends while chit-chatting in the patio. The patio area is nice to catch up with friends, and you can also smoke there.

It was a hot summer day then I was hungry so I came here to eat and have a pina coloda smoothie. I had the house special shaved ice it was ok too. I had the ramen with hot dog and an egg. It was instant ramen so don’t expect to be really good. It was salty too with all the MSG. I didn’t like it so don’t order that unless you like ramen salty and plain. The smoothie was good so I really just recommend the drinks or desserts here.

The boba here is incredible! It is the right consistency and the milk tea itself has the right balance of flavors. I usually find boba to be too sweet, but I could drink the duet(half milk tea, half coffee) forever. Additionally, the service is quick and the people are very nice. Also, there is a bunch of seating – more inside than out – so it’s a great place to hang out with friends. And another perk is that it opens late. Great place, great menu, highly recommend!

I love this place. Oreo smoothie, mocha smoothie, pistachio smoothie and Dana slush are my favorite drinks. The service is pretty bad though depending on who’s working. There’s an outside patio and a TV screen and people smoke out side so if you don’t like the smell then you might want to take your drinks to go or stay in side. The furniture inside is comfortable and they seem to not care at all if you stay there all day. They also have shaved ice and food idk how the food is but hear that the shave ice is really good. But definitely recommend it for smoothie lovers.

I usually get the Duet here which is a mix of coffee and milk tea and I like it. My order is usually quick when I’m there. They also sell ramyun and korean brand chips. Large menu of drinks with slushies, teas, and juice. $ 5 min to use card. Next to Gungjung Sulrutang.

I’m surprised I haven’t written a review of this fine place until now! Well, this place is a cozy little coffee shop /boba place. The place is decorated with an independent coffee place look, with red cushions, wooden furniture, and a bright color design. There are a variety teas, not all Boba-related. I sometimes get nutty Korean teas when I come here with friends after dinner. Interior is medium sized… as there is also patio seating. As Boba place, it looks more like a coffee place. I kind of like that and I sometimes come here to have conversations with friends of mine. The drinks are about $ 5-ish. There is plenty of parking as it is located with other eateries and businesses. This is a nice little default place to go in the area if you are tired of Starbucks.

I don’t drink enough boba tea to be able to distinguish good from great. As long as the boba is boiled well — soft and squishy, then it’s good for me. The restaurant is cute but located in a random plaza. We had a big group so we sat outside in the freezing cold. There was a big fire blazing which was cool and all, but later towards the night, I got a headache from the burning smell. They also provide blankets but I mean, do I trust them to wash those regularly? No. I ordered the duet and thought it tasted good. My husband got the yul-moo-cha(this nutty, powdery slimy thick Korean drink, I don’t even know what it is), which is not a common drink. He was pretty happy that this place had it.

The staff here is messed. One specific male staff is especially rude! As for my second time here, the drinks are tasty as usual. So while my friend and I were deciding on our drinks, the one particular male staff bursts into the restaurant and starts CURSING loudly. Uhh staff manners? We ended up ordering from him. And so we’re waiting for our drinks. I guess one of the female workers didnt know who ordered and she asked the guy who took our order. Rudely enough, he yelled loud enough for the restaurant,” these two little girls!“ At that point, my friend and I were embarrassed, extremely upset, and wanted to leave immediately. Never have we been mistreated by servers for our age in public. From that experience, I dont think I will be returning for a long time.

On our way back from San Diego, my friends had a sudden craving for boba. They really like Boba Time and wanted us to give it a try — and we were able to make it before closing time by calling in our orders. The drinks are decent — better than average but not the best boba I have had. I would say they are above Quickly quality but below Tbay and Half and Half quality. The plastic cups with the sealed containers don’t add to anything either. I ordered a large milk tea slush with boba which came out to be about $ 5. They only take credit cards on orders of $ 5 and up unfortunately, so our drink was short a few cents. Since the restaurant was closing, we ended up sitting outside on the patio where chairs and a large television is set up. The inside of the restaurant is very cute — reminiscent of those cute café shops, but I just feel like the quality of the cups bring down the whole ambiance, if that makes sense. The milk tea slush was good — if you’ve tried Lollicup’s(Diamond Jamboree) royal milk tea slush, I would have to say that I like Lollicup’s a lot more. This drink had good consistency — not too icy, good amount of sweetness and really chewy boba(especially nearing closing time), but I thought there wasn’t enough boba for my liking, especially since the drink was so expensive. There were random chunks of ice in the drink, but overall it was blended well and fulfilled my boba craving. I don’t think I’ll ever purposely drive to Boba Time for boba when there are so many shops in the SGV, but if I’m in the area, I’ll probably give them another try.
