First time trying out this place for lunch. Chirashi $ 16 very good. Excellent cut and grade of sushi for that price. Sushi lunch $ 28 came with at least 12pcs of sushi. All were excellent as well. Service: attentive and friendly. Parking: in a small plaza. Easy to find parking. Will definitely return if I am in the area.

Highest quality fish around… definitely worth the price.

Great sashimi! I mainly admire this place because the owner is the same owner of Hing Wa Lee Jewelers. I have come a few times and the best thing to get is the Premium Chirashi bowl. It is a lot of food and worth it because of the freshness and great quality of the sashimi! For the the same thing, I know of Sushi Gen in Little Tokyo which offers a great Chirashi bowl as well but for half the price! BUT, for people who have been hearing about this place, I would say go try it at least once. It’s pricey but you do get what you pay for, which is better quality than all you can eat, of course!

(Four and a half stars!) Only been here once, but it’s already become one of my favorite sushi spots. For the price, this is some top tier sushi. Still not cheap, expect to pay around 30 for a decent sushi meal. As for the sushi itself, everything was well prepared, fresh, and tasty. The rice also stood out to me. It was a perfectly balance of sweet and vinegar-y, and always came out nice and warm. My friend ordered the Chirashi bowl, which was pretty huge, and I had a bunch of different nigiri. Also had the mango with uni, which was the only thing that was lacking. The fruit kinda overwhelmed the urchin. But aside from that, this place is awesome. I’ll definitely be back

Probably the best sashimi I ever had. Really pricy but so worth it for the quality of the fish.

Have you ever stopped in the middle of a conversation just to appreciate how amazingly fresh and delicious the sashimi was? You will now. I kid you not, the slices of sashimi here are so fresh and so thick that we enjoyed many moments of silences. You barely have to chew! We went at 8pm on a Friday night, luckily found parking right away in the small parking lot. It was packed in the restaurant at this time! I would definitely suggest making a reservation, as we did, and you’ll be seated quickly. Chirashi bowl and Sashimi dinner. Both so good. Filled up the two of us as we shared the meal. Comes with edamame and a small bowl of miso soup if you choose to have your shrimp head from the sashimi plate prepared that way. Fried is your other option. I’d most definitely go with the miso! One thing I must point out from my visit is that eating here has changed my view of uni! The very rare times I tried it, it has always tasted like you’re licking the bottom of the sea floor. Was never a fan. This time, the uni was surprisingly sweet and had no hint of the ocean at all! Changed my view of uni, that’s for sure!

If you’re in love with tuna, you MUSTTRYTHETOROHERE! The toro here is absolutely melt-in-your mouth fatty and delicious! I mean… it’s in their name, so it has to be good right? Came here last night on a whim after frequenting another place for happy hour =x Was disappointed that we had to wait half an hour for a table for 2. Not sure if they take reservations, but I would recommend it on a Friday or weekend if you want to check this place out. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel baller enough to order their Omakase(chef’s pick) since it ranges about $ 120-$ 180 per person. For a random Friday night, we decided to forego it, but maybe it would be worth it for a special occasion. One note of caution though, if you take a date out here, it WON’T be intimate and romantic. The place is small and can get loud with all the patrons in there. We kept overhearing people speak VERY loudly in Mandarin and they were a few tables away. Not against them at all, but I’m not sure if this would be the most romantic and upscale setting especially if you decide to splurge on your meal here. Anyway, some highlights were the premium Chirashi bowl! Fatty, flavorful, and plentiful pieces of fish on top of a bed of delicious sushi rice. Not as much variety as the chirashi you would find at Akasaka, but definitely the best TUNA I’ve ever had. Salmon and yellowtail were good, but not the best(which is why I docked a star). They also gave only one little bitty piece of uni. They even took the shrimp head and made a miso soup with it(free of charge). Dinner prices were fairly reasonable as the Chirashi was about $ 40. Also got the sashimi salad which was also surprisingly large and with fresh fish. Definitely satisfied. Service was fantastic as well– as they often checked on us and refilled our green teas. Overall, a satisfying meal that would definitely be improved if other types of fish(salmon, yellowtail) could taste even better and compare to their amazing tuna!

Very pricey here but you can taste the quality. Get the 3 kinds of yellowtail and the 3 kinds of toro. They also have kobe beef. I dont remember the exact price, but I do remember it being around 15 bux an oz and the minimum number of ounces u can get is 3. It was good, but I wouldnt get it again. It was a lil too fatty for me. Overall, id come back but itd def hafta be an occassion as i think with just two ppl, the bill ran into like 300 range.

«As good as it gets» is the perfect description. I first visited to celebrate my mom’s birthday and probably would have never done so if it weren’t recommended to me. It’s hidden on the corner of a small plaza right behind the giant 168 market shopping center. The menu here is simply AMAZING. Let me say it again – AMAZING! I ordered their famous Chirashi Bowl($ 23.95) and every piece of sashimi in there melted in my mouth. I knew it was quality stuff from the first bite. They only serve blue fin tuna here. It also came with salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and tamago. Everything was SO fresh! It wasn’t until later that I discovered their incredible lunch menu(1130 – 1400). You can get the same chirashi bowl for ~$ 15. That’s a great deal. The most recent visit my boyfriend got their Mix Sashimi and Eel on Rice($ 28.95) and after having a bite of the eel, my taste buds were dancing. Perfect texture. Incredible flavor. It’s difficult to go back to AYCE sushi after experiencing the quality here. I guess they are known for their omakase menus, but the price for those are completely out of budget unless you’re celebrating an occasion. Even so, I feel that it’s not completely worth it. I like being able to choose what I’m eating and, trust me, there are tons on the menu to choose from. Come here for high-end sushi without the high-end price(excluding omakase $$). Extra kudos for being only a 10 minute drive away.

I’ll keep this update simple. I arrived during a weekday before they opened at 11:30 and there was already a crowd of people waiting to be seated. I was seated at the booth in front of the main sushi bar for an ideal view. I went with the premium sushi chirashi which and requested the sweet shrimp head to be combined with my soup which was temperature hot and flavorful. Service from the entire staff was impeccable just like the quality of the sashimi. I’ll definitely be returning here again.
