My entire family has been going to Dr. Takemura for as long as I can remember. I am always impressed with how kind and helpful he and his entire staff are. More than once I have found myself in a situation where I needed a prescription faxed to me or new contacts & glasses in a hurry before I left for a trip. They always go out of their way to help me. Dr. Takemura and his staff are honest and professional. They will tell you what you need, but don’t pressure you to buy anything more. I have always managed to find a great pair of new glasses at their office, too!

Don’t go here!!! The doctor is very old school in the way he treats you. At first I went here and he was nice and professional… but the second and third time I went he didn’t listen to my concerns and rushed me through my visit. He doesn’t provide you with options of glasses versus contacts. They try to convince you to buy this retina screening and if you say no then they make you feel bad saying you probably have eye cancer growing but since they can’t screen you then you will probably lose your eyesight. Go somewhere else and save your time and insurance visit.

We have been coming to Dr Takemura for years!
We love him because he is honest, not like those other optometrist offices that try to upsell you on everything and rip you off with stuff you do not need nor want.
His staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I couldnt imagine going anywhere else!

Here’s a doctor that loves his job and has dedicated his entire life to optometry.
My sister has been seeing Dr. Takemura for years. He’s very thorough with his exams, never cuts corners, and has kept up with new technologies in optometry.
His rates are a bit higher than average, but you get what you pay for.
