Long lines at the deli, no matter the day or time. Also long lines at check out in the past few weeks. Takes almost an hour to shop, get cheese at the deli and then pay. Last week I purchased salad that was rotten, they did exchange it thou.

Not sure I understand 1 cashier on a Sunday evening and 10 self check outs. I don’t work here and should not be forced to use self check out. And to top it off the one cashier had no personality. No «hello» or «have a good night». What happened to basic customer service?

ANOTHER, LIKEALWAYS, INCREDIBLEEXPERIENCE in the Walpole Stop & Shop! I LOVE this place. So Much. I felt the need to update my review, since I was treated so terrible last night by Marianne & Jenell at the terrible, terrible Norwood Stop&Shop on Route 1… I always go to this store, but was at Walmart on Route 1, last night, so I stopped at the Route 1 Stop&Shop, which will never happen again!!! So rude, unprofessional service from Marianne & Jenell, who are both rude, ignorant, lazy, and don’t care about customer satisfaction… they also cannot understand what the Price Accuracy Guarantee, and Marianne consistently tells me I’m wrong. Anyway, it’s amazing how this store is precisely 1 mile from that store and this store is the best Stop&Shop EVER! And the Norwood store is easily the WORST Stop&Shop Between Mary-Ellen, Dee, Jamie, Cloe, Alex, Karen, Wilson, and EVERY other employee who I have come in contact with are super friendly and kind and SO helpful. Plus, this store is much larger(like A LOT) than the Norwood location, has high ceilings(they even have sky lights!), as well as a much better layout, and a huge produce section, with a deli, seafood, and bakery all attached. As the Norwood location is very choppy(bakery on one end, and deli on another and meat on another, this is MUCH, MUCH better. Go to the Walpole Stop&Shop. This is the best grocery store throughout the surrounding towns! Its SO convenient on Route 1A, without all of the highway traffic! More than 200,000,000x better than the Route 1 location in Norwood… never again.

This S & S and I got off to a REALLY bad start, but I am having much better feelings about it: earlier this year, I was waiting in(really long) line at the deli and watched as one of the guys brought over a huge tub of pasta salad(no gloves on), plopped it down into the deli case, dropped the spoons, and then fished around in all of the food area to retrieve the spoons(still no gloves). Line was still going nowhere and the deli manager was gossiping with another employee behind the specialty cheese counter. Anyhow, we worked that all out and things are better now. I just DONOT go to the deli area, and would watch and make sure that everyone has their gloves on if I were you. So, moving on: the RESTOFTHESTORE(ahem) is clean, organized, there always seems to be people around if you need something, and — best of all — the self checkout lanes actually WORK. Other stores seem to have continual problems with them(the Norwood store being the closest) and don’t seem to have the upgraded check-out screens that Walpole does. Bonus this month was the guy stocking the dairy aisle two days before Christmas in a Santa suit.

I would say that I was like a kid in a candy store but I’m not really sure that applies when you are talking about the complete opposite of candy. Their produce department is aMAZing! I don’t know if I’ve been going to produce places that suck all this time or if this place is just super special. All I know is that I don’t think I’ve ever seen that variety of produce anywhere else. Whole celery root? Wide variety of fresh herbs? Tons of organic options? Oh yeah! Even the weirdest stuff looked fresh and delicious, too. Not old like it had been sitting around for ages. Everything was so vibrantly colorful and tasty looking. I was in awe. Then I saw their cheese display. Oh my! So many amazing cheeses! This place is my parents’ go-to grocery joint. I always thought that my parents lived in the middle of nowhere. Who knew this little gem was hiding there all along. Well, actually, I’ve heard that they just renovated. Whatever, I love it. It looked like they had the rest of the usual grocery store stuff too. Who the hell knows, I was too busy gazing at the produce and cheese. I can’t wait for my next visit to my parents’ place. Hopefully my mom will forget an ingredient so I can make a run!
