I sincerely miss The Good Food Store when I’m at school in New York. The Chicken Caesar and Chicken Parm are personal favorites. Large drink selection. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been going here for years and what used to be 5 stars has really changed. I am curious if there is new ownership. Every time we have gone here for sandwiches recently the chicken has tasted like rubber. This was not the case years ago where the chicken was always the best. Now it is a chewy piece of disgusting meat that falls out of the breading and makes me sad even having to look at it never mind eat it.

Love the good food store for an indulgent deli lunch sandwich. My favorite is the blackjack chicken sandwich. Only complaint is when I order to pick it up sometimes it cools down before I get there so the cheese is kind of hardened and not melty anymore… If you have the time order in store!

I’ve never had a bad sandwich here. Bread is always fresh, chicken cutlets are amazing and staff is very friendly and efficient! Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

A realtor brought me here for lunch and it is ridiculously good. I had a chicken cutlet sandwich with pepper jack cheese and red peppers, they have a name for it but I have since forgotten it. I have recommended it to a few people from work and they love it as well. The sandwich is about 6 inches, cut in half but the half is very filling, and I saved the second half for later that day. I’m going to go back for sure.

The sandwiches are amazing. Buffalo chicken, Italian were standout. Friendly staff. It feels like it’s owned by a family.

The Terrific Tuna is my absolute favorite! I add pickles and it really makes it that much better. The Caprese, Low-Fat, and Roast Beef with Boursin sandwiches are also really delicious. To be honest, the bread might be the best I have ever eaten. I would eat anything off of it.

Fast, friendly, and tasty! All the sandwiches are $ 7.50. There’s no small, medium or large, but you can get a whole or half-sandwich. The menu is laid out in big posters with big photos on all the walls. This is efficiency at its best. I’ve been going to The Good Food Store for lunch for a year now and I haven’t had a bad experience. Every sandwich is delicious and just big enough to be filling for a big guy like me. If you like soup, you can get that(and it’s always good). There are salads too. Plus chips and drinks and cookies. That’s it. You don’t have to stare blankly at all your choices, because it’s straightforward. At lunch, they’re busy, but they have sandwich-making down to a science with the whole family behind the counter taking orders and assembling subs like an assembly line. One anecdote: Around last Christmas, I admired their new 2015 calendar that had big photos of fire engines. I remarked that my son would love one like that and where did they get it? The nice lady went out back and came back with another one of the calendars for me. Now that’s customer service.

I often order on Thursday’s, when they offer their«Gobbler» sandwich. It is super awesome. Stuffing, Turkey, Cranberry sauce — YUMMY. Sometimes i wish they would sell it everyday, but that wouldn’t be as fun! I have tried other sandwiches and they are also amazing. It’s a small business, that definitely deserves the business. They have a large selection of chips, beverages, and desserts! They have a very large selection! I would definitely recommend this place!

Went here for the first time yesterday and I CANNOT wait to go back again. I had the Black Jack sandwich and it was so delicious! I am excited to go back and try more items on the menu, everything looked so good and I had a hard time choosing. Next choice to try is the Chicken Ranchero, sounded great. I will be back and tell everyone I know to check it out!

100 Stars is what I would give them if I could!!! We have been going there for about 12 years now. They are the best deli/lunch place in this whole area. Their sandwiches have no comparison and when you think it can’t get any better try their beef stew or their soups. The beef stew puts anyone’s Mom’s to shame along with the chowder and the rest of the soup they make homemade daily. I had never had split pea and ham soup when I asked they said try it. Well I did and it is now my favorite soup! Good as a word does not do the food at Good Food justice, they should be called SCRUMPTIOUSFOOD! The owner and his sons are also some of the nicest people you will meet. They put their love and family values into everything they make and do and it truly comes through. All I can say is if you don’t try them your robbing yourself as once you do you’ll never stop!!! You will need Good Food Rehab once you start!

Went there for lunch during the weekday. It wasn’t crowded, but there were a few people in line. It’s the size of a starbucks, but has a lot more tables. Drink fridges along one wall and cashier with chips on the other. The back is where you order and pick up your sandwiches. I got the ruben. It was hot, cheesy and delicious. It was pretty hefty and worth the price. Manage to finish it, but pretty much had a food-coma right after. My only complain is that they’re not open on Sundays. I tried them on a football Sunday before a Pats game and they weren’t open. T_T

Excellent little sub only shop with some non-traditional options that you won’t find at the other area pizza /sub shops. The bread was soft and fresh. They don’t toast if that’s your preference which is okay with me but my wife likes them toasted. They also had a variety of cheese options which doesn’t seem to be the case elsewhere locally. They even had pepper jack which no one else seems to have. I had the meatball sub. Again, the bread was fresh and I got multiple cheeses on it. The meatballs were homemade, not dry, and tasted great. However, the sauce seemed bland. After I got home I noticed they had a roast beef with Boursin sub. I’ll definitely go back for that. Overall, a nice change from traditional subs and a great place to eat!

Great sandwiches. Good for lunch, not dinner. Only one vegetarian option, caprese. So if you are vegetarian might not be your place. Highly recommend the sandwiches are yummy.

I love the good food store, I come here probably once every other week. The blackjack cutlet club is delicious. The staff is friendly and very efficient(yes occasionally they seem a little rushed but have you seen this place at lunch time?) we order from there at work occasionally and no matter how many sandwiches you throw at the guy that answers the phone, he gets them right everytime. I don’t think we’ve ever had a mistake. I don’t really understand the people saying the sandwiches are tiny. Are we eating the same sandwich? They are definitely a good size and worth the price. The bread they use is delicious(and so are the cookies). The only downside? They close pretty early during the week and are closed on Sundays, but the sandwiches are so good I’m still saying 5 stars

«Hi, my name is Freda and I’m addicted to the Blackjack Cutlet sandwich…» I imagine my future intervention would go. But why fix what isn’t broken? This fabulous, slightly tucked-away spot has scrumptious, fresh sandwiches that are dream-worthy, a wide array of drinks and lunch accessories whether it be that bag of Cape Cod Kettle chips on the corner racks or the freshly delivered cookies on the counter. Don’t forget the rack of candy bars! Yum. This place is amazing.

How this place gets a 4.5 star average is beyond me. I mean, they arent terrible. They just arent that great. Let me preface by saying that I do not mind«overpaying» for a sandwich if its worth«overpaying» for. This place is just not worth the $ they charge. $ 8 for a tiny sandwich that is just good. Thats $ 8 for a TINY sandwich that is just GOOD. Nothing more than that. Not GREAT, GOOD. Let that sink in. That is before drink and chips. I end up paying $ 12 for something that is just ok and that is not an ok thing to do. I have eaten here 3 times. I most likely wont go back again . Not worth it at all.

This is one of those places you can drive by a thousand times and never know it’s there. Thankfully, hunger pains after a morning of errands and a dearth of lunch food at home prompted me to check Unilocal for a good lunch spot along Rte. 1. The family and I landed here and ordered the meatball, chicken parm, and Italian Stallion. All were above average on soft braided rolls. None of us finished our huge sandwiches(yay! lunch tomorrow) or the several varieties of chips.(As mentioned in previous reviews, they devote a significant amount of space to chips and drinks.) Check out The Good Food Store: a place that truly lives up to it’s name!

Love The Good Food Store. Everything I’ve tried, from sandwiches to soup, is delicious. The beef stew is comfort food at it’s best, as is the chicken noodle soup.

Lurking in the strip malls of Walpole is a lunchtime Shangri-la. I’m still in a daze from my stop at The Good Food Store. 12:42pm Enter hungry, short on time, and in the throes of the lunch rush. 12:43pm Survey the ginormous chip selection to my left and the wall of drinks to my right. Stagger to the back deli counter. 12:43&½ pm Smiling deli guy asks for my order and I blurt out the first thing I see on the menu. Thursday’s special«The Gobbler»(Thanksgiving sandwiches are my favorite. Their version? Roast Turkey, Homemade Stuffing, & Cranberry Sauce Jelly on a fresh baked Italian sub) 12:44pm Stare in awe at the MACHINE that is the sandwich assembly crew at Good Food as a team of 5 takes orders, tosses sub rolls, cuts, layers and wraps each order. 12:45pm The deli maestro hands me my Gobbler, I spend 11 seconds in line, fork over my $ 7.50 and emerge into the bright Walpole sun before I even know what hit me. 3 minutes, people. 3 minutes! No exaggeration. The sandwich was probably gone just as quickly. Delicious, perfectly sized and all fresh ingredients-my only gripe is that the Gobbler’s a special and not a menu staple. Every person in this place managed to be friendly on top of being lightning fast. Sandwich Serendipity in Walpole– who knew.
