Walpole Valley Farms is a working farm that sells the products it raises, and those products — eggs and a variety of meats — are of exceptional quality. The Farm has been operating here for about 15 years, and its owners, Chris and Caitlin, are very involved and committed members of their community. There is a farm store, which is open Saturdays year-round and on Wednesday afternoons during the summer, and their products are also sold at nearby weekly farmer’s markets in season. Their eggs are delicious — amazingly fresh and tasty and of course raised on the farm. When we bought three cartons the other day, Chris went to the henhouse to retrieve the eggs for us – how fresh is that?.Their meats include beef, pork, lamb and chicken, all raised on the farm and available in a number of different butcher cuts. At various times during the season, they also offer turkeys and even hot dogs. the meats are wonderful — better, much better than anything you’ll ever find in groceries. We love the sage sausage, not too spicy but oh-so yummy with those eggs for breakfast. And by supporting them you’re supporting local growers and your local community. Win-win, it seems to us. Walpole Valley Farms is one of New Hampshire’s treasures.
