Had the crab rangoon, egg roll, Szechuan shrimp, sesame chicken, and moo goo gai pan delivered last night, and everything was great. Delivery took a little less than an hour(ordered at 7:00, and the delivery man was at the door at 7:55).

I am writing a review because I can’t believe this place is not in the top 5 of The Waltham Patch this year. I have been eating from this place for 15 years and even though they have changed management a couple of times, the food is consistently excellent and fresh. Very low key if you plan to eat there, but the service is great and fast, same as delivery. The food always gets here super hot

5 stars for being exactly what I thought. Fair price, good food, nothing insane, but it satisfied the craving.

My boyfriend and I live just around the corner from this place and we just went today for the first time. The sign says buffet and cocktails, but when entering there were no signs of either. We got two dinner combos and soup for take out. We made a few substitutions to the combos without a hassle. I got sesame chicken and fried rice with crab rangoons. Everything was delicious. My boyfriend had pork with garlic sauce, fried rice, and an egg roll. We started with wonton and hot and sour soup. We both really enjoyed everything. There was so much food, we will get another two meals out of it at least! The inside wasn’t very nice, but we were taking out anyway so it didn’t matter. There was a sign on the door that said from now on they’d be closed on Mondays. We will definitely be going back!

I can’t review the food because I never even got to try it! They hung up on me! What awful service! After putting me on hold for a long time, the guy came back on the phone to take my order. But after I gave him my order he mumbled something about it being«just one order» and hung up on me. I was so shocked. My guess was that he was upset that I ordered dinner for just myself??? Very rude. I will not be calling back.

This place is way better than their rating reflects! Everything I’ve ever ordered has been awesome… The only negative thing I can say about them is they just make up their own hours… They say close at 10 but sometimes they close as early as 8… And they just started closing on Mondays too. :-/

The food was amazingly good and tasty!!! The ratings on this restaurant should be higher. It is pretty much an eye sore to look at BUT most of your BEST food come out of places like that. My few complaints are the amount of sweet sauce provided was VERY skimpy and $ 2.00 for delivery especially when you have a delivery minimum is OUTRAGEOUS…

The food is ok. Some things are done very well, others are ok, edible but nothing to write home about. Others are meh. The best is the crispy garlic shrimp. Large. Cooked well, not over cooked. Last night was a bit salty but still delicious. Egg roll are spare ribs were ok.

I never tried this place because of all the negative reviews. However, my roommate and I have ordered from here twice recently and almost all the food was great. I think this place stands about equal with Asia Wok in terms of food quality. That said, some stuff is better than others. So far, the stand-outs are the peking ravioli, ginger chicken, and shrimp with scallions. I am generally wary of any take-out seafood, but here I would only avoid their dishes with baby shrimp. I really hope this place is my own hidden jem, and not that after living in Waltham for so long my taste in Chinese food is completely going to shyte.

Used to love it here. Ordered every Christmas and pretty much anytime I was visiting Waltham. Was born and raised right down the street. My last 3 times getting take-out were huge disappointments. Food is burned. EVERYTIME! Not sure if there are new owners but sad to say, I’m done with 3 fortunes.

Love the dumplings, rice and the spring roll. Not a big fan of egg roll

I dont know why this place gets so many bad reviews. I have been a customer of theirs for years and have NEVER had a bad experience, and I order at least once a week. I got my coworkers addicted to this place. Their food is great and the staff is usually friendly. Their lunch specials are especially killer. 7 bucks for a TON of food. My fave is the L34, which is beef terryaki and chicken fingers and choice of white or fried rice, PLUS you can choose another app to go with it. Such a good deal and its DELICIOUS. more people need to know this place is great. Edit: Just ordered today and they forgot my order of large chicken fingers. called them back and they were extremely nice, and got a replacement order here within 15 minutes and STUFFED the box, so it was a lot mo re than a large. This is why I love 3 fortunes, if they make a mistake(which is rare) they rectify it. Great customer service.

I typically only eat here for lunch, and I order take-out/delivery. The restaurant itself is small and shabby. It’s nothing special to look At. I wouldn’t come here for a nice dinner out or anything along this lines. But if you are looking for some good Chinese food for lunch at a low cost… Then this is the place to go. They have a variety of lunch options to choose from. They are around $ 8 – 10 if I remember correctly. The portions are large and very filling! Happy eats! :)

Fortune #1 — You will make grave mistake by dining here Fortune #2 — You will feel an overwhelming sense of buyers remorse after consuming take-out Fortune #3 — Upon approaching 3 Fortunes, you will perceive that the condition of the exterior is a good indication of the quality of what’s cooking inside!

I’ve been back to 3 Fortunes many times and it is fine – I was mostly kidding with the 1 star/fortune cookie review. 3 Fortunes is a solid option for Chinese food in Waltham.

Placed an online order for a NYE party the night before. Called the following afternoon to double confirm and was told they weren’t taking online orders. I reiterated that I placed the order on their website last night and it went through. Told them nothing on their webpage indicated they weren’t taking online orders. They said no online orders and hung up. Last time I ever use them.

We ordered the ginger scallion ginger, shrimp egg foo young, and the asparagus with chicken, beef, and shrimp. The meat tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly so that it was moist and tender. The asparagus was cooked just right – still crispy. The sauces were light and provided the right flavor to the meet and vegetable mix. The ginger was not overpowering and the scallions were plentiful, which is great for me because I love scallions. The egg foo young was excellent with onions and shrimp inside with a brown sauce on the side for slatherin’ and dippin’. This will be our go-to Chinese delivery place from now on.

3 Fortunes is a small, apparently family-run Chinese place featuring the typical, Americanized Chinese menu. Nothing authentic, but it gets the job done and take-out is accomplished in about ten minutes. The food is absolutely standard in every way. The same mix & match meat with vegetables, tofu, chow foon, and moo shi that you’ll find anywhere. Their advantages are friendly faces and just about as low a price as you’ll find in Waltham other than Asia Wok. Family-style tofu is $ 7.95 when it’s usually a buck more elsewhere and two bucks more in, for example, Newton, for virtually the same product.

Ok, so the only thing from here I’ve eaten is the pan-fried vegetable dumplings, but holy mother of muppets are they good. Crisp, not greasy, delicious, delectable, and probably filled with crack. I say the last bit because when I’ve got it in my head to eat these, I can think of no other food. I must fast & purify my mind and body to prepare myself for the yummy communion of nom I shall soon partake of. Yep, I’ve got problems.

I LIKE the daily lunch buffet. Granted, it’s not pretty and there’s not a vast selection, but it’s passable. The beef broccoli is the absolute BEST I’ve had in Boston, and the spicy chicken with peanuts is GREAT, too. They don’t put alot out at one time, so you may have to wait a bit for more food for the buffet. The staff is so NOT friendly. Not rude, but not friendly. Just get your water and drink, and press the ignore button. Basically, they’ve already pressed it on you, as you will have to ASK for more water or soda, and the water comes in a kiddie sized glass. As mentioned, the FOOD is GOOD. I’d even consider coming to do an «eat in» dinner here. Decent atmosphere, nothing fancy.
