This is a good fast food Chinese fix. Prices are reasonable. I just wish they would add more shrimp to the lobster sauce and they charge extra for the shrimp. Otherwise I am satisfied. It’s the only place I go to take out Chinese food.

These people work hard and kick ass. I tend bar in waltham and usually get out of work when most people are 4 hours into deep sleep. Asia wok is there for me at 130am when I have the munchies and refuse to go to sleep without chicken fried rice or an order of crab rangoons. Everything is as you’d expect. Nothing more nothing less, and served lightning fast. This place is highly efficient. Not the worst and not the best. Just really satisfying greasy Americanized Chinese food done right. This place rules. Give them your money

Food took an 1−¼ hour to get there after being told it would take 30 mins. Food was cold and gross! We had asked for soy sauce specifically and didn’t get it! We will not be ordering from this place again. Horrible 1st impression will last forever.

Asia Wok serves American style Chinese food that can usually be picked up in 20 minutes or less. I usually don’t do delivery when I can pick it up myself so quickly! The specials are reasonably priced and portioned, and the vegetable lo mein tastes great. The crab rangoons are not overly sweet like other places in the area, and the fried orange/sesame/Gau’s chicken is crispy and flavorful. Definitely my favorite«Asian» take out spot in the area.

I go to this little Chinese restaurant almost four times every week. Food there is not 100% purely Chinese but is ok for most of it. I eat there only because Asia Work is the most convenient place where I can have Asian food. Taste is alright, while the price is more than«alright». There is another Chinese restaurant, Mulan, in the Main Street of Waltham. I prefer it to Asia Work.

Good little place and its open late night! If you are a fan of corner store chinese food then this place is for you! It has the exact same food as every other chinese spot! The boneless ribs are a lottle bigger and veey meaty with less fat!!!

I never write reviews but they suck, spent 20 extra on a 10 dollar meal, wouldn’t do the combo plates. Then my food was cold, waited forever, got my second order first and then when I went to order, he ignored me. Food was gross to tasted microwaved. Just awful awful place. And the wait was awful, the employees were just so disorganized to 5 people stand around trying to figure something out while people stand there for 1015 mins just trying to order. I give a zero! sorry for the messy writing, using a phone. Happy new yr!

I’ve been ordering deliveries from Asia Wok for some time, half of which were ordered on cold winter nights in the dead hours of 12AM. Adequately friendly service from the receiver, and most delivery guys are experienced enough to locate the different buildings in Bentley University. They also accept card payment for delivery! Always arrived within 1 hour of call and the price ain’t bad either. The food that I get is always decent with pretty consistent in quality. I mostly order different items from their Dinner Special and my favorites have been the boneless spareribs and General Gao chicken. I notice that the boneless spareribs are very oily and whenever I have them in my plate, it usually comes with very oily pork fried rice as well. The General Gao chicken is pretty sweet, but just enough to satisfy my craving of Americanized Chinese food. Kung Pao chicken is mildly spicy. Crab rangoon and egg fooyoung is normal. Asia Wok is in overall not that special but somehow I always come back when I feel hungry from all those late-night studying. They will have my business as long as I’m a broke college student and they’re open until 1−2AM. Special thanks to the delivery men for delivering my food to the library during finals week — I actually felt thankful enough to finish this review!

I would love to give this place a 0 star review after the customer service I received tonight, but a one star will do just fine. This is coming from a person who always recommended this establishment when asked about Chinese food in Waltham. After tonight I will longer do that. Long story short, after an order was placed an hour ½ went by without receiving our food. I called back to ask about delivery time and I was told to call the delivery driver, which was followed by a hang up. Being stuck in limbo I called back to cancel my order. That was lead by me receiving a call from(617) 992‑5201 two hours later! I was bombarded with harassment remarks by an older gentlemen for me canceling my order and asking for a refund. This is not how you run an establishment and it’s a shame this happened because I really loved this place. I guess they don’t realize they are in the customer service business.

Bentley University student here. Of course, I only ordered from here out of desperation — you know, late night cramming for an exam the following morning. Whoever answered the phone always sounded like they were awakened from a deep slumber. I had to repeat my order at least three times. While the delivery is quick, the food itself is sub-par. The meat isn’t too fresh. The dishes are overly greasy. The sauces aren’t too flavorful. I once dared to order chow mein… and I got STICKS! Panda Express style… I did not expect that from the owners since they are Asian(no offense to Panda Express — but their food is NOT Asian). It was like eating potato chips… No, no, no. Stereotypical Chinese food makes me sad. We don’t all douse our food in oil!

Rude! Rude! Rude! Second time I try ordering and i feel like an unwanted caller at someone’s house. Called a couple of times and the line sounded busy once I was ordering I asked why it was 4 dollars more than expected and dude laughed like I said a joke and said«substitution extra!» and hanged up. Now I remembered why I have never eaten here and never will… jeez

Three star max. I don’t like the orange chicken lunch special but I find their general Gao chicken or shrimp pretty good.

Lots of varying opinions on this place… see I order from Asia Wok on the regular. Many of the people here are talking crazy talk about their awful experiences ordering from here. The worst that has ever happened to me was a delivery took a while on a rainy Saturday night. If you want quick and easy American-style Chinese delivered quickly, this is your best bet in the Waltham area. Is it a great place for take-out? No. Is it a great place to have your butt kissed by a friendly staff? No. Will the food make you sick? No. Not like some of the other local places have. The chicken fingers are excellent, the sesame chicken is spot on and the Pork Lo Mein must be made with Unicorn tears it’s so tasty I’m getting hungry writing this. Bad idea. Alas, don’t be stupid and order somewhere just because they gave you coupons. Those coupon places will end up sending you to the porcelain throne.

I’m new to Waltham, and after reading the reviews on Unilocal about the local Chinese restaurants I came to the same conclusion regarding every Chinese take-out joint in the U.S. — either you love the place or you hate it. Despite a few negative reviews, Asia Wok had a fair number of good reviews I figured I’d give it a shot. I had sesame chicken, bbq boneless ribs, and rice. Man was there a LOT of rice! The food wasn’t bad — very sweet. The bbq boneless ribs were almost candy, and the chicken wasn’t spicy(and not many sesame seeds) but also very sweet. And a LOT of rice! Basically it was pretty much your average blecht! Chinese take-out. I’ve had worse. So why just one star? Let me put this right out on the table — I work part time in food services. I’m ServeSafe and Quality Food Operator certified. I handle the food safety training at work. The Board of Health should shut this place down. The lady working the counter was arguing with another customer — the customer wanted a certain combination and the lady either wasn’t understanding or was just refusing to make some kind of special allowances for the customer. Ok, whatever. They argued for TEN minutes while I waited to place my order. Again, whatever. The cook was eating his dinner in the back. No gloves. The lady behind the counter handed the other customer’s order back to the cook, who BAREHANDED(no gloves & didn’t wash his hands first) scooped the first customer’s food out of the to-go container and into a new container. With his hands. Then(and mind you, this is July so it’s got to be pretty darn hot in the kitchen, meaning he is sweating) he grabs a wax paper bag and sticks his hand in, about half way up his forearm, before picking up some chicken wings BAREHANDED(again, no gloves and STILL hasn’t washed his hands) and puts them in the bag. If that cook had been working for me he would have been fired on the spot. Maybe I see things others don’t because I’m trained and paid to see them, but this was pretty darn blatant. The only thing he didn’t do was pick his nose or use the restroom and come back without washing or sanitizing his hands. That I saw…

It’s taken me a long time to come to terms with this, but Asia Wok is really the best take out Chinese food you’re going to get in Waltham. If not the best, at least the most consistently not terrible. The only menu item that fluctuates is the crab rangoons. On busier nights they’re fresh out of the fryer piping hot and delicious, other times they’re totally zapped with a crusty cream cheese coating. Still a huge fan of their Hong Siu Chicken(which despite the name is very Americanized: Chicken Fingers and vegetables in brown sauce), Orange Chicken, and Kung Pao dishes. Their salt and pepper pork chop was good until Mu Lan opened, now it’s just okay. I haven’t ordered delivery since my college days, but when I did it always came exactly as I asked. Having seen the inside of the restaurant, I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s dirty, at least not in comparison with other local restaurants. Asia Wok, you win in everything by relativity, I just wish you could be more like your fraternal twin in Allston.

It’s your typical American Chinese food, but definitely the best in Waltham. I have ordered their general gao’s chicken, sesame chicken, mapo tofu, Kung pao chicken, Singapore noodles, beef chowfun, crab ragoon, and a variety of fried rice — they all met my expectations. I have extensive experience getting delivery from here because my friends and I(and pretty much half of the school) turn to Asia Wok when we are sick of school food, too busy to cook, hungover, pulling an all-nighter for exams, celebrating the end of exams, need attractions for school events, etc. I have so many fond memories of bonding with my friends/roommates while enjoying the food. They are open late hours, ready to be at your service even on snowy and hurricane days — seriously, I remember(or I have heard) they were the only place still doing delivery the day Hurricane Sandy struck and when everything was on lockdown during Boston Marathon 2013. Huge props to them for their dedication to provide sustenance to local residents and college students at desperate times.
