I tried out this laundromat because it’s close to my home. It’s quiet, clean and reasonably priced, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1. However, there is NO business name anywhere on the building, the washing machines are not organized by size/capacity as in most other laundromats, there is no ATM machine and, most importantly, there is NO attendant! Absolutely nobody seems to work here. I don’t even see an office where an employee could be hiding out. I usually go to Sparkle-Brite down the street where it is usually insanely busy and many machines are out of order, but they have televisions, magazines, snacks and beverages, an ATM machine and, most importantly, friendly employees who go above and beyond to help you in any way necessary. Next time, I’m lugging my laundry bag the extra distance.

________________________________________________________________ 3 ½ stars ________________________________________________________________ Non-descriptive laundromat located on Moody Street. The only way I knew the name of this laundromat is the signage in their back parking lot indicating it was Bubbles Coin-Operated Laundromat. The great thing about this laundromat from the others in Waltham, is that it is kind of out of the way for everyone else since it is at the end of Moody and not in any sort of congested area. There is a parking lot in the back and not busy at all. I didn’t have to wait or bump into anyone here. And it was pretty quiet aside from the lil Spanish lady yackin’ away on her cellphone in her high pitched voice while I was waiting for my clothes to dry. The place is clean and the prices are pretty much the same as anywhere else. My only criticism with Bubbles is the way the machines are set up. Usually you have all your small loads together, all the mediums(Double) together, triples, you get the point. Here it was kinda scattered around haphazardly. Additionally, I’m happy to see that they have signage indicating that they are open until 11 pm since most laundromats around here close at 10 pm. Extra bonus — 2 blocks from my apartment and Shopper’s Café/bar is right across the street. I was also able to pick up wireless in the building as well. I wonder if there will ever be anyone to capitalize on a Laundromat with a Internet Café or even just a section where you can sit at a desk with wi-fi available — similar to what Boch Honda has when you’re getting your car serviced.
