Cleaner by Green Jacket

I dropped off to get a dress altered, and they couldn’t quote me on a price because the alteration person was not there. When I returned to pick it up, it was uneven and looked poorly sewn, it was also $ 40!!! This is way too pricey, especially for the quality of their hem. My boyfriend dropped off pants to get altered a few days before me and when he finally called to ask if they were ready the woman said they have been waiting for him to call because they had trouble hemming the pants. Why they didn’t call him to ask after an entire week? No idea! They had all his information.
All in all, poor quality and bad customer service. We both left unhappy and they didn’t seem to care at all! I will take my business elsewhere!

I have used them probably 8 times [8 shirts-​4 pants EACH time.]
This is a brief summary.
* They will label/​write your last name with black marker your shirts at the bottom.
* Friendly Attention, what else would you expect, right?
* They lost a total of 3 shirts in one lot
* A total of 3 shirts were still dirty
* Check your shirts before you walk out. You may have someone’s shirt, not yours.
* If you bring them back, do not expect to get yours.
You may get $ 20 cash to compensate your missing shirt. But you will get the lame speech that it comes from his pocket. They both tried to combine some cash with $ 5 and $ 1 bills which I didn’t accept, but a credit which I never claimed.
I would give 2.5 stars, but I can’t. I lost 3 of my nice shirts.

This dry cleaner is awful. I have used them repeatedly, mainly because they are close to home but there are times when I don’t think they even clean the garments… I think they just press them. Sometimes the stuff comes back with the same stains that it went in with. If the can’t clean something, they should tell you. Save your money as they are expensive and don’t do a great job.

I’ve gone here for years for shirt laundry, dry cleaning, and alterations. I’ve never had any problems. Before I started going here I tried quite a few places but there were always frequent problems with the shirts such as broken buttons and discolored collars, enough so that I could never count on taking shirts on a business trip straight from the laundry.

I brought a Theory leather skirt to Cleaner by Green Jacket for a hemline repair. They accepted the skirt, but couldn’t quote me a price because their seamstress wasn’t on-​site at the moment. I left the skirt with them anyways, and called back later in the day to learn that leather work of this nature is «usually» less than $ 25. Ok, fine.
When I picked up my skirt, it was on hanger, covered in a plastic bag. Pretty typical. I didn’t look under the bag because I was in a rush. When I got home, I was horrified to see that they had PINNED my skirt, by the waist, to a paper covered wire hanger. What would possess them to shove safety pins through the waistline of a leather skirt? I fumed and considered bringing it back first thing in the morning to demand my money back, but ultimately decided that there’s not a thing to say to people who would flagrantly damage a very expensive garment.
The holes in my skirt’s waistline are the result of this hack-shop’s obvious disregard for their customer’s garments. It’s still wearable, yes, but jesus christ, get a clue.

A green dry cleaner in Waltham… YAY! I was so happy to find this place. The employees are friendly and get you in and out quickly. I also appreciate that they don’t put the plastic/​paper tags on everything or at least they didn’t on the first two trips. I was really impressed with the care they took with my sweater and some other delicate items I took in. Prices are a little high (hence 3 stars).

Great local dry cleaner and tailor right on the Waltham/​Lexington border. The staff here is super friendly (but not in the annoying way), greets us at the counter right away, and always says thank you and goodbye. (I’m a big fan of courteousness and pleasantries.) They’ve taken care of my boyfriend’s buttondown shirts for work for the past 2+ years with no problems (unlike Wal-​Lex who was always cracking the buttons on his shirts – and then not replacing them). The more shirts you bring, the cheaper the price per unit.
All the dresses, sweaters, coats, and pants I’ve brought here over the years have been perfectly cared for. Also, they use environmentally friendly cleaning agents and will recycle wire hangers, as well as all those plastic slipcover bags.

Used once, they pinned my linen dress to the hanger! What kind of dry cleaner chooses to put holes through clothing? Never again, go to Holly in Newton.

I’ve used these cleaners recently and had a positive experience. I got my garments back 4 business days after dropping them off just before Thanksgiving. I had a jacket and sweater cleaned that came back in perfect condition.
