So many great reviews, that I decided to give it a try. We got one Parma and one Dom Special. Bread was stale and cold and honestly not much flavor in both sandwiches. For the price of $ 10 each I say my experience was quite mediocre. We also ordered small lentil and Kale soup. $ 4.00 for two table spoons of lukewarm and pretty bland soup didn’t make me overly excited. There are much better sandwich places in Boston and North End or try Gustazo a few blocks down the road.

Quick, delicious and friendly service!!! Get the Parma it’s one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, the marinated tomatoes and fresh baked bread sets this sandwich apart. My boyfriend and I go here at least once a month!

This is the best spot in Waltham, period. It’s not much of a secret anymore. Top shelf imported ingredients from Italy, homemade pasta, pizza and sandwich breads. There really isn’t a wrong choice on the menu. The cannoli and cookies are great too! Vegetarians need to try the eggplant Verde and the Melanzane, both out of this world!

NO better lunch spot than Dom’s. Food is out of this world good. Been coming here for 4+yrs and would consider myself a regular. Get the«Tonno» Sandwich!

Oh you’re looking for a place to grab some lunch with friends or coworkers? Oh you like really great sandwiches with soft fresh baked bread? Oh you like super tasty add ons like empanadas? Then come here, it really is tasty and reasonably priced. Best sandwiches IMO Chicken Parm Manzo Tono

Despite the long lines at lunch time, when you see Nona(grandma), rolling out fresh pasta by hand, you know it’s worth the wait. Dominic’s bakes their own bread, makes their own sauces from scratch and builds sandwiches by hand. Every bite contains love. The line moves quickly and is worth the wait. There’s a reason for that long line. Call ahead if you are in a hurry. Handmade takes time.

Love the arrancini, pizza by the slice and dom’s special! The bread is to die for! It’s so fresh and you just want to keep going back for more. Like the other reviews, depending on when you go there you might have to wait in a long line– make sure you don’t forget to get your tomato sauce before you leave that line.

I’ve spent way too many lunches at Panera and Chipotle across the street, looking for wifi rather than a good lunch. No longer will I pass up the opportunity to have one of Dom’s delicious homemade creations for a kale salad or burrito bowl when I am in this area, just so that I can continue to work through lunch. I will take the time to stop and savor the delicious fresh baked bread and Italian specialty meats and cheeses. So good… Italian bakery items, Arancini, Chicken Parm. Oh My!

What makes Dominic’s so special in a town full of great restaurants? The bread! Fresh baked in house bread makes their sandwiches stand out. I can taste it now… Might have to make a Dom’s run tomorrow. Try the Melanzanie — it’s my favorite. It’s a marinated eggplant sandwich and it’s unique and out of this world. They have great aranccini too. So good.

This is probably the only place I can get a good Italian sandwich similar to La Panineria in NYC, so I guess it’ll do. That being said, my standard is La Panineria, and pretty much everything at Dom’s is just not quite as good as the little sandwich shop I hold dear to my heart in Greenwich Village. My go to panini is the Parma. The bread and mozzarella at Dom’s both could be a bit softer, and the oil is a bit overpowering in taste. It’s not as simple as I want it to be, but the ingredients are fresh and I am content afterwards. Still, my heart aches for the more authentic and delicious panini at La Panineria. I’ll still swing by Dom’s for my fill of Italian sandwiches, but be warned that the line gets quite long during the lunch rush. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Dom’s, and I would probably love it had I not frequented what I would consider a better panini shop elsewhere, but alas, I have and Dom’s isn’t able to win over my heart completely.

Domenics is awesome. Really high quality, delicious Italian sandwiches, pastas and salads. My boyfriend and I love to swing by here to grab lunch to go; service is quick and the prices are good. The Pollo panini, Dom’s Special panini, and Caprese Salad are some favorites. All delightful. Also — the cannolis at the bakery counter are FANTASTIC! Filled to order and soooo delicious. As good as any cannoli you can get in the North End, if not better.

This is one of the best Italian places in the area. They are great for both sandwiches and entrees. On the sandwich side the caprese panini is outstanding. The chicken parm is great, the eggplant parm is really, really great. It is definitely more of a takeout place, so you’re not coming here for the ambiance, you’re coming here for the food. They do get very busy around lunch time so plan ahead. This is a place I’ll definitely continue to visit on a regular basis.

There are lots of things that I miss about college. High up on that list(way above frat parties and homework) is Domenics. This was my go-to place for four years of lunches when I couldn’t deal with on-campus dining anymore. This place has pretty much got it all going on. First of all, there is the bread. It’s fab. Amazing for the sandwiches they serve and everything else. Every time I stopped there, I would grab two or three extra loaves for general snacking and sharing with appreciative friends. Inside the sandwiches are amazing italian lunchmeats and cheeses. Dom’s Special(with everything) is my favorite Italian sub in Boston, not to mention their tuna… yum. My favorite hot sandwich is the Bomba which is a giant and hearty and so so amazing steak sandwich with provolone and hot peppers and arugula. Yummm. Everything here is delicious. The arancini are amazing. The pasta is delicious. The soup is to die for. Get here. Fast as you can.

I have tried multiple items from the menu, and have sadly never been impressed with any of them. I was extremely excited to try the arancini, but it was dry, cold in the middle, and flavorless. Each sandwhich I have tried lacked flavor and meat/toppings. I was especially grossed out by the meatball sandwich, which was a dry flavorless meat cake, that resembled bad meatloaf! The name of the establishment is terribly misleading, being that the only thing«baked» is the bread, which tastes as if it is about a week stale. Even though there are Italian owners, there are no tasty Italian sweets or pastries to speak of, only a few American style cookies. Probably the biggest let down, are the incredibly high prices for very little and very sub par product. If I were in the area, I would honestly opt to go to the Panera across the street. Being that I have visited some amazing Italian spots around where I live like: «Bob’s Italian Foods» and«Café Toscano» in Medford, and even«J Pace» in Saugus, I would recommend finding better Italian eateries in the area, that have much more adequate pricing for the quality and quantity offered.

I’ve been a long time huge fan of Domenic’s, although not a frequent flyer over the last couple years given my office moved from Waltham to Boston. I was in Waltham the other day and excited to hit Domenics, but… I was disappointingly disappointed. The bread is as amazing as ever, but w/the inner makings are meek. A lot of bread, not much meat, a lot of pasta, not much meat. I’m OK for paying a hefty cost for a most excellent sandwich, but not when there is a meek slice in there of meat. A few hours later I was hungry … because I essentially had a bread sandwich w/a splash of protein.

YES. YES. YES. A fine Italian deli this is and affordable. My boyfriend and I were trying to choose between this and Moody Street Delicatessen and this one was just much more reasonably priced. Domenics is worth EVERY penny. The Parma is amazing and Will got Doms Special — both favorites of the place according to the other reviews. Although I will say the arancini is not that impressive. It is a MASSIVE ball, but it’s also massively disappointing. Save your money. Can’t wait to try the other paninis though!!!

My review will be a drop in a very large bucket of customer loyalty. Too many love this place. If you show up when it’s busy and there’s a line out the door, it’s still worth the wait. I got there at noon. Long line. Still only a 5-minute wait. They were advertising their lamb panino, which sold out one customer before me. They apologetically replaced the lamb with roast beef and then insisted I not pay for it. But that’s insane — I would gladly pay the same price for the sandwich I’m stuffing into my face now. The tomatoooooooees, juicy and acidic and making the oregano burst with flavor, and the feta laying out a salty creamy base for the subtle flavors of the cold cuts, which are perfectly textured, and on their fresh homemade chewy and spongy bread that traps the flavor storm that might otherwise end up on the plate. No I will not accept this for free. I will review the **** out of your generosity. And leave a small tip. Then again, maybe they recognized me. I have been eating there for 3 years… Still very generous.

Love their sandwiches! Their Italian is perfect. Light and fresh with the right meat to veggie ratio. They have a great selection of other things besides sandwiches that I’ve yet to try but always look good. Their Italian cookies are awesome as well. Service has always been quick and friendly. Also they take LevelUp which gives you $ 3 off your first order. The only downside is finding parking can be tricky.

Hands down the best Sandwiches in Waltham and all surroundings towns. The bread is all baked in house, and ridiculously good. I dream about the verde with grilled chicken, its incredible. Tip-You can now skip the long lines, and order online! They email you when your food is ready. It’s amazing!

Really fun place, near Brandeis. Had an excellent Italian soup and a terrific sandwich. The people working(owners?) there were great, and very friendly. Excellent choice for an Italian deli lunch. 4.5 stars as a deli. Definitely worth a repeat visit. It’s a bit hole-in-the-wallish, but I liked that about the place. Very good college-town vibe, and very Italian.

I live across the street from Domenics but never gone here. Not sure why. Maybe it was one of those things where you take for grants since you assume since it’s right there, you can do it anytime, so kept putting it off. Then one night, a friend asked how it was, I didn’t know, so we went. Not knowing what to get, I got the Dom Special thinking they wouldn’t call it their special it was terrible :) Mortadella, provolone, sopressa, capicola, prosciutto and added red peppers, tomato, lettuce and fresh mozzarella all on a fresh baked daily bread. It was great! The bread and combination of meats and veffies were great. Only thing I’d like to see was more meat. The fillings weren’t all that filling for $ 8. Defintely going back there.
