We’ve now had two bad experiences in the past year — both with their car batteries and with their customer service/company policy on replacing them. We had a brand new battery die on us last year — the warranty and manufacture date were printed on the battery itself — we were well within the time frame for the warranty. Yet we had to argue with them to get them to accept it — they kept saying it was past warranty even though it wasn’t. When they finally agreed to take a look at the battery, they insisted on keeping it for a while to run extra tests — determined not to give us a new one if they could help it. We had to go back twice before they would finally replace the battery, and they never actually admitted that the battery was bad. So the replacement battery(4 yr warranty, they told us it was a higher-quality battery too) only lasted 6 months before dying. AAA came out to jump it and he tested it at the same time(as well as checking the alternator and starter). The AAA mechanic said the battery needed to be replaced. Yet, again, for some reason the Interstate store wouldn’t just check it quickly and replace it — they gave us a «loaner» battery and kept ours run extra tests because they still weren’t convinced that their stupid battery was the problem. So now we have to drive 40 minutes BACK to their store AGAIN, whenever they are done being difficult about the fact that their batteries suck. Still unclear as to whether or not they’ll replace it, but I’m NEVER buying one of their terrible batteries again. Two stars only because they actually replaced the battery the first time.
