Patrick Brady

Patrick has done a significant amount of work on our home, both inside and out. On the outside, he did a fantastic job taking the paint down to the natural wood (only where necessary) and the house looks great a year later. During that project, he painted and hung several window boxes; they all look fantastic. He has also done painting on the inside of our home (living room, bedrooms, etc.), not just plain walls but various stripes and patterns, all with fantastic results.
He has also done carpentry work for us; he is not a full service carpenter but the work he has completed has been very good and I would not hesitate to use him for carpentry work as well.
Lastly, we have found him to be an honest, personable contractor and someone we’re not worried about having in and around our home.

His specialty is stripping all the paint off down to bare wood. He does this thoroughly but your clapboards will never be the same. The edges of all my trim are all gouged up by his stripping machines. It looks as if my house was attacked by 100 beavers.
He’s a pretty good painter, but a lousy carpenter. He will criticize the workmanship on every detail of your house, but when it is time to replace some of your trim he doesn’t know how to hang a clapboard straight. He makes no apology for the collateral damage he does. Get at least one other estimate, and take a close look at other houses he has worked on.
