Quick & Clean Car Wash of Waltham

I might be a rarity, still liking self service car washes… But this place is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

This review is for their basic automatic car wash. Its amazingly touch free wash. Yeah nothing but water and spray touches your car. You’ll need to wipe your car yourself. You’ll need to hear the instructions carefully and follow it. I did not find any spots or stains left after the wash so did not feel to wipe it. The dry flowers were good enough. Little bit on costly side.

These guys did an awesome his detailing my car! I was super happy with the service here, they will definitely be a place I will visit in the future when my car needs a good clean!

Horrible experience at the wash today. I gone here a few times, and 2 out of the three times I left with dirt all over my car. Friday was no different, except the employees that towel dry, and vacuum were horrible. It seemed the employee didn’t want to be there. For $ 15 I expected a better clean, and the additional fee for the towels and tires would be fine if they did a decent job. I don’t think I will be returning v

Got my car washed here today and was just ok. I paid $ 13 for the touch free machine, the rims looks like needs another wash :(and to dry the car only 60 seconds thinking to find another car wash

Got my car washed here last week and it was just alright…
It was a little confusing when pulling in to the lot to figure out where to go. I end up opting for the touch free car wash. Driving up to pay you are greeted by an old machine that is not reachable from you car. You pay for the wash (~11 $) and then go into the touch free machine. It was a bit weird driving in as you literally have to pull all the way up to the wall before it tells you to finally stop.
The car wash didn’t last too long and I as prompted to back out. When pulling out to dry the car the suction from the top vacuum was so strong it caused my windshield wiper to go up and then slam back down onto my windshield. Never have I had this happen before in any other car wash.
Final result was just alright, it got most of the grime off but could have been detailed a little better as I could still see some grit on my windshield and my car wasn’t completely dry.
I will probably try another car wash in the area before heading back here.

Went to the self service bays yesterday. Was unable to get my white car clean. The equipment was old the water not hot enough and the soap and water almost impossible to tell from just a rinse. Not worth the $ 4.00 of quarters I pumped into the machine. Will try the one near the Lexington Arlington line next time.

Really quick and clean. $ 9 regular car wash of the 4 Boston blizzards of salt snow drenched over my car. I actually like how they don’t dry my car at the end. It’s simple, and I can just go.

Paid $ 9 for a touch less (read: automatic) wash and the car looked like it was covered in white residue. Easily the worst car wash I gave ever gotten. Not worth it at all.

You never have to worry whether you won’t have enough quarters for the vacuum, or whether the hoses will be blocked. Everything is in perfect order, every day
The staff is polite and courtesy, to a man, and always ready to help
ps. My wife lost her Ipad there, and couldn’t sleep one night as a result. I told her don’t lose sleep over it, the owner there is so professional you have nothing to worry about.
The next day I went back and as soon as the guy saw, me he said. «Oh yes!» and took me to the office to give me the I pad
The interesting thing is I had no interaction with him the previous day when we lost it, I saw him vaguely from about 100 feet away. Yet he knew just who I was,

This review is for the self-​service washing bay.
We drove out here from Arlington today because this looked like a good option to wash the outside and vaccuum the inside of our car. The car was pretty dirty from a recent trip to Maine. We had dirt on the doors and sand in the interior.
We started in the washing bay. It was $ 3.00 for three minutes (I think) and had a whole bunch of options — pre-​rinse, wash, a foamy thing with a separate brush, rinse, and spot-​free rinse. It took at least $ 5.00 to get through all the phases, but whatever, $ 5 would be a decent price for a good wash. We finished up and headed to the vaccuum area.
As the car started to dry, we noticed there was still a lot of dirt on the lower half of the doors. We wondered if we’d missed some spots, or if the dirt from the top of the car might’ve been washed down to the bottom before we could rinse it all off. As we talked over whether we should go back and do another round through the wash cycle, we started up the vaccuum.
The vaccuums were like toy vaccuums for kids. They had no suction at all. You know that thing where you see a little sand on the carpet that should easily come up, and the vaccuum doesn’t do anything but push it around? Yeah, that. After about a minute we realized we were going to have to go somewhere else to vaccuum better.
So then we went back to the self-​washing bay again and used up the rest of the quarters we had (at least another $ 5) and this time were extra careful to concentrate on the bottoms of the doors and other spots we noticed were dirty after the first wash.
This time when we were done, I took a papertowel and wiped the side of the car — yeah, it was black from all the dirt still on the car.
Btw, while we were washing the car the second time, I got some grease on my hand from one of the machines and tried to use the foamy car soap to clean my hand. It did not work at all.
People seem happy with the full service washes at this place, but if you’re looking for self-​serve like we were, keep looking. After wasting out money we ended up going home and washing the car in our driveway anyway. The only difference was now we had to clean our windows too because they were covered in soap scum.

Never had anything but a great experience here. I’ve brought a hatchback, coupe, and now truck here and each has come out sparkling clean. Even had someone get sick in my car and they got the smell out of that too. Amazing.
The staff is well trained and gets the job done very quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality — something quite rare in a neighborhood carwash.
Don’t be fooled by other car washes that seem to offer something better for less. There’s a reason this place has been around for decades and why everyone I talked to said to go here.

It was a sunday night at 5 in the morning and my friend puked in the car.
I called the car wash the next morning at 8 and asked if they could help me.
They said yes and they could steam clean my car on the inside for the day.
It cost $ 125 but it was totally worth it. My car (with leather seats) was sooo clean.
Plus my friend paid so the price didnt really matter to me at all.
Great place and super friendly and honest.

I’ve been coming to Quick & Clean for a while now just for the self-​serve bays.
It’s $ 3 for a few minutes. It’s literally 30 seconds to a minute short of being enough to fully wash your car. You really need to pay twice to get everything done, which kind of annoys me. Quick tip: bring a towel and hand dry.
The employees can be a little gruff and stare at you when you’re cleaning, which I find uncomfortable. Other than that, it’s a decent car wash. I think they could do better though.

Great detail job on my lunch break for $ 41 — fast and a good deal. Staff is friendly and competent. Only downside is that if you just get the auto-​wash the driers are so bad you really have to hand dry or it will streak.
Overall good value

I have all 7 of my cars detailed and washed daily at quick and clean. All of the employees are really nice and helpful. I recommend getting the towel dry for a dollar after your car wash it helps a lot. There is no car wash you can go to and expect to be dry afterwards so for a dollar it’s well worth it to have them dry your car. I buy the yearly passes for 375 for 1 car wash a day for the year. They treat me and my employees great so thank you from all of the Maximum Transportation staff

This car wash is great. And to the person who said the $ 4 towel dry, it is only $ 1.
I live in Waltham and go here all the time. Sometimes I get the mini detail and after the winter I get the full detail where you leave your car for a half day. The mini comes out great and the full is awesome. On our livery vehicles, we get the yearly deal which is a flat rate for the year. I forget the price, but you pay up front for the year and you really get you’re yes worth because in the winter we are in there all the time ball the guys who work there are friendly and helpful. Best car wash around :-)

I came back here on my own accord to use the full-​serv wash in a desperate attempt to scrape the salt off my vehicle.
Came out very clean, with no damage nor paint swirls, and only a few missed spots. Can’t fault the wash for not getting ALL the nooks and crannies.
Plus, Wednesdays are 2 for 1, so I got a free pass to come back. Skip the worthless touchless wash, and spring for the gentle and effective full-​service.

What can I say, it’s a car wash. With that said, it does offer several options and services.
On your first time there, it might be a little confusing as to where you should go because there are three different car washes: the regular drive-​through wash, the self service wash bays, and the touch-​free wash. If you want the regular wash stay in the left lane, self service in the middle lane, and touch-​free in the right lane.
They offer detail, and min-​detail services, where you can get a vacuum, tire shine, etc.
I would recommend the touch free wash. Especially if you have a new car because the touch-​free is less likely to damage your paint job. Do note that the touch-​free wash takes some getting used to. You have to drive in slow for the undercarriage wash, then back out slowly for the dry. I’ve almost perfected this, but it’s almost impossible to get your car completely dry from the blowers. My recommendation would be to bring a drying towel, or pay the extra $ 4 to have them hand-​dry your car ans shine the tires.
Overall a good place to go for a car wash. Just pay attention to the signs so you know where you’re going.

This place is really not that bad of a car wash — it’s in a good location, it’s inexpensive, and the customer service is pretty good (if you’re going through the automated car wash). I usually download the coupon for $ 3 off their «Ultra Wash» from their website before I go, which is a great value (being only $ 1 more than «The Works» after the discount).
I have experienced longer wait periods (10 – 15 minutes in line) when the automatic wash breaks down, but this doesn’t happen all that often (maybe once or twice a year). When it does happen, the operators are apologetic, which makes the wait slightly less painful.
The only thing that isn’t worth the money is the touchless car wash — while it does help to remove loose dirt, it does nothing to remove the ingrained salt stains from winter. The touchless option is much better in the summer, when you can count on the residual heat from the day to dry off your car, mainly because the blower really doesn’t dry the car all that well.
I’ll be back for my «maintenance» washes.
