Great service. I had trouble getting through to book the van but once I did everything went smoothly. Other reviewers have mentioned parking problems but we were able to get in and park easily. Would have been good to have the customer parking sign higher up to be easily seen.
Quick check in, new clean van full of fuel and easy to drive.
I returned early and the checkout was equally efficient.
They have a limited stock of vans so you probably need to book in advance. Seems to have lots of packing supplies.

To begin with, I am an international and had no experience in moving and dealing with contracts.
The overall experience is awful, ugly and disgusting. They impose an extremely high penalties if you don’t bring the truck to the designated location.
I picked the truck in Waltham, MA. The personnel was not paying attention and absloutely unhelpful, given I told him that I was totally new to this. He did not disclose that fees for not returning the truck varies from day to day, and can be extremely high in the end.
I dropped that truck in a location which was only 10 miles away, and I was charged $ 206 extra. I did not know at that time that the was the amount for it. So I called later customer service and file complaint. I was told that the manager would call me in 3 business days. As one can understand, no one ever called so I had to call them again and stay on the line. Then they started bouncing me from manager to manager telling me that this issue was not important and implying to get lost. They did tell their names, so I can only guess if they were real managers. Then I managed to reach the traffic control manager, Kevin, who also did not tell me his last name, so there was no way I can identify him. I explianed the situation, that if I had known about this, I would have delivered in stated location. The distance is only 10 miles, so the mileage costs could only 15 and some extra for the gas instead of 206. He did not even try to listen to me, and told me that I can compare the service they provide with any, even MacDonald’s, but at least they tell you everything they charge for. Literally, Kevin made an impression of uhaul as «joke» company.
Overall, the customer service at pickup location is ridiculously awful, the management does not give a damn about their customers, however, they are exactly who need need to set and keep good culture at the company. They don’t help customers at all. The business model they opearate is good but the implementation is dramatically terrible. I strongly suggest anyone findind time and/​or money and going to other providers of such service feeling you will not end up with the feeling that uhaul tool advantage of you.

Kent was very helpful. I saved $ 10 just by renting a uhaul from him in Watertown. They let me keep my car at the store so when I dropped off the truck I had a ride. Thanks, man!

We just rented a unit form Jim this weekend and had an excellent experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the process. The facility is clean, (brand new) and easy to get in and out of. We live in Back Bay and it only takes 10 minutes (on a weekend day) to get there. The last place we rented was spooky to go into if you were alone– this place is very security conscious and well lit all the time.

They were awesome. They got my return done quickly and even waived the cost of the gas I didn’t put back in the truck. I will absolutely use them again!

Great service. They are very courteous and very customer friendly. I returned uhaul and pads to them. They processed my return very fast. There was a pad missing but they didn’t charge me extra for it.

Incredibly helpful w/​my work’s needs. The size space that we needed was not immediately available so they let us move our things into a temporary arrangement until they were able to move everything into a proper unit.

I rented a Uhaul and bought moving supplies. The staff was very helpful in talking me through the process and I was even able to reserve movers on their site when I get to NYC. Highly recommend and will use them again for my next move!

I would not recommend Storage U-​Haul in Waltham for many reasons. I recently moved stuff through them and besides the fact that they messed up the delivery schedule (they were late by 2 hours and they went to another location by mistake) they were careless in moving the furnitutre and most of my new furniture got scratches. The best part is that the movers were trying to convince me that the furnitures were already scratched.

I only rented a U-​Haul truck from this location for a move a town over. It was a pretty simple process and they have all you need to make the move simple. There weren’t any ties in the truck to keep stuff from moving around, but that didn’t matter too much for such a small move. Invest in the «Mover’s Stretch Plastic Wrap,» it is invaluable for wrapping items and tying things down.
The people in the location were kind and town friendly. Avoid taking a left turn out of the parking lot; the trucks have a big blind spot. Who knows, there might be a light there in the future, once the luxury apartment complexes goes up across the street.

I talked to Clay on the phone and he was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the access hours to storage here are the same as the (rather restrictive) office hours. As of this writing those are M-​F 8 – 5:30, Sat 9 – 5. On the plus side, the rates seem to be less expensive: he quoted me $ 29 for a 5′ x 5′ x 6′ space on the 2^nd floor, whereas other storage places charge about $ 60.

These guys are great, Conrad and Jay helped me out when i was in there a bunch of times to get packing material for my trip to California. On one occasion i actually forgot my credit card and they told me to call them back with it later. Really nice guys and a great selection of packing materials from uHaul. The plasma tv box is especially good and i used some of the mirror boxes to store awkward and long items. I’d recommend this store over others as it has the best selection of material, you can actually RETURN un-​used boxes and the guys are great. 5 stars.

After too many years at Extra Space Storage I had to leave. My rent increased constantly — just couldn’t afford it anymore. I found Storage Plus online. The staff is courteous, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile! I’ve told everyone I know about them!!! They’re all wonderful — especially Conrad and Clay. I’d give a higher rating if I could!

Had a great experience renting a trailer here with Clay, he was very friendly, helped me hitch up the trailer. After I left I wanted to look into returning it elsewhere, and while I decided to come back to Waltham, he was very helpful over the phone explaining my options. This is my 3’rd time renting here (rented moving trucks before) and I would def return.

I would really, really recommend that you go somewhere else.
The quality of the trucks and everything is fine. It’s just as you would expect from any Uhaul.
The customer service, on the other hand, is the worst I have experienced in all of my years in America. I have encountered rude waiters, uncaring doctors, and dishonest mechanics, but never have I left any place with such a bad taste in my mouth.
There is a man at this location, and he is, by far, the worst person I have come across in the history of service. He is condescending, rude, uncaring, and if I may say so, racist. He made it seem like I was bothering him from his break, and when I asked him to repeat what he said because of his thick accent, he looked at me and talked to me as if I did not know any English. Maybe he believed that it was appropriate to treat me as his inferior because I was Asian. He threw my cards back to me, and left me with no information regarding my rental besides the paper he made me sign without reading.
But this is the worst part.
I had a problem with the truck as I was on my way. I’ve had problems with Uhaul trucks before and did not think much of it, but drove back to Uhaul anyway because I didn’t want there to be any trouble in the future. When I confronted the same man about the problem, he sneered at me, walked me out of the store, and showed me that my problem was not, well, a problem. When I agreed and was on my way (disgruntled, of course, because of his absolutely condescending expression and diction) he looked at me and said «Bye bye» while doing the stereotypical Asian bow that we sometimes see in movies.
The people who have received satisfactory customer service from this location must not have been Asian. This is the worst service I have received, and I will never go back to this place, even if it’s the last place on Earth. I plan to confront Uhaul about this in the near future. In the mean time, look for other places to rent trucks. You won’t regret it.

Rude customer service. I came in for used boxes, I didn’t expect too many but all I got was a piss poor attitude. The guy acted as if I was a major inconvenience to him. Here is a tip, you treat potential customers well… they will likely be your customer.

This is a review for the storage facility.
I had a tiny storage unit with these guys for about nine months while I was transitioning from university to my new apartment. I chose them because 1) they have an amazing website 2) the prices are super low. All their employees were friendly and prompt to respond to e-​mails when I was figuring out the logistics to move in. I’ve worked in this industry, so I knew some of the tricks and catches, so I can definitely say this is no strings attached storage.
When I moved in it was very easy, they had dollys, a loading dock, and people to help you out. At first I was a little taken aback because it’s not some pristine, well-​lit, premium facility, but you’re getting what you’re paying for. However, when I returned to my unit nine months later my things were still perfect and exactly how I left them. The guy that helped me move out was even friendlier and more helpful than the guys before!
I hope I don’t need storage again anytime soon, but I highly recommend these guys.

CONRAD @ this U-​Haul beats the pants out of every other U-​Haul truck rental place in the area. This place is clean, buttoned-​up and always polite and gentlemanly.
Their rental trucks are clean. When the bill arrives there are never any unexpected charges. They do a through inspection before each rental and just as complete an inspection upon return of the truck. As U-​Haul franchises go these guys win hands down.
Additionally, as I just learned I save $ 10.00 by renting here instead of from U-​Haul in Brighton. It seems Boston imposes a $ 10.00 fee on all automobile and truck rentals. Brighton is part of Boston so its been costing me another $ 10.00 that I hadn’t realized.
