The Common Cafe

Wasn’t sure if it was open Sunday afternoon as their side Café signs were not lit up but saw a few people inside so resume to walk towards… This cute place had people buzzing inside, doing work, reading, meeting people. Ceilings are somewhat high, so the noise does not travel as much, and seems like a neat place to take a break, relax, and ren vez vous. Noticed their drip coffee, although I went for a caffeniated mango black tea. It’s a cool place.

This is not to be confused with Café on the Common (which the pictures show). On Main Street there is also The Common Café, which to me, is almost false advertising.
They should call it The Common Bar, because that’s just what it is, a Bar.
We went in for dinner one night. We were hoping that it would have been something like Fitzes in Watertown, but alas, that is not right.
Ordered a burger and fries, and a BLT and onion rings. We watched them make the food and they took out cooked bacon from a ziplock bag for the BLT. The burger was very Meh.
If you are looking for food, avoid at all cost.

Cold three dollar drafts and warm regulars that make you feel like a regular as well. They leave the volume on the TV up so you’ll hear the news or the Red Sox game or whatever sport is playing on the TV in the corner. They also have good bar food to keep you going during a game of pool. The bartenders are all professional and friendly I recommend you stop and have a cold one.

Sorry Sarah X., this ain’t the espresso joint, this is the BAH baby. Delicious Bud Draught, great local crowd, dart league night, pool league night, great place to kick it live son.
Kitchen was closed when I got here but the food prices are beyond reasonable — boneless buffy wings with fries or o-​rings for 7 clams. Nice.
Some dude was talking about a near-​miss experience when he was working for a caterer named Larry. «So I says to Larry, what the christ ah we serrrvin fuh appetizas at this fuckin weddin!!!» It was quite amusing. He was crushing Bud Lights with his buddy and the bartender was listening to him kvetch. Hey it’s cheaper than therapy, right kids???
Dope little spot, come here for a Bruins game or to watch the olympics.

Beside beeing extremely expensive (almost $ 2 for 3 oz of coffee!!!)some of the staff is very unwelcoming too. I work in the area and used to go there quite often for coffee and icecream, and most of the time did not take the change back. Well…a day I was short 4 pennies and the beared guy made it look like a tragedy… i could not beleive!!! Of course I brought his 4 pennies within 10 minutes but NEVER would go back there and told everyone @ my work not to…
Too bad, they had yammi icecream.:(
