This restaurant is the worst I have ever been to. The service was nonexistent, we finally got salads, then we were never offered entrees. A while later someone came by and offered us dessert, I said we didn’t get entrees I’ll take the check.

Traveling on business and staying at the Embassy Suites in Waltham, I did not really feel like going out so based on the reviews decided to try the grill. I had the clam chowder to start which was very good followed by the Chop Salad with smoked salmon. Also very good. Portions were adequate not small not overly large. service was very good although the restaurant was slow. Maybe a bit over priced but not bad.

This place is not bad. But for the price, it should be much better. When you serve a $ 25 steak, it should come out the way you request it. The loaded baked potato was a little dry. But, for a hotel restaurant, it’s not bad, especially since it’s not in the city. I wouldn’t rush back here, but I wouldn’t avoid this place.

Went to dinner here with my research team. The place was dead and we got a table all the way in the back. I wanted to give a good review because the food was pretty good but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The table we were given was just 3 small round tables pushed together. This is no way to treat a group who has made a reservation. The set up was awkward and the wrong shape for a discussion type dinner. Also we were sat by the windows and it was FREEZING. Not sure why we were sat in the very back or by the windows(curtains were closed). It was a strange set up. Also our server, I cannot remember her name, was awkward to the point that made us all uncomfortable. She would stalk the table for any sign of us needing her and then would stand over us, creepily, until we asked for what she had apparently come over to do(fill up water, clear plates, etc.). Um, shouldn’t you just do that stuff instead of being a weirdo about it? We tried to make jokes and appeal to her humor but apparently she had none, she remained deadpan all night. This woman was unbearably odd. The rest of the waitstaff were great, too bad we got the one not so great person. The food was good, but rich and buttery. Definitely not the healthiest of options. Probably wouldn’t go here again though, under different circumstance, this could probably be a decent place to go.

The Grille at Hobbs Brook is a top restaurant in a suburban hotel. The quality of the food here is truly surprising. My friends and I stopped there for the breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. We were greeted with coffee and orange juice. The buffet included cereal, oatmeal, fruit, breads/bagels, pastries, and a grill station making omelets, cinnamon French toast, pancakes(regular and wheat), potatoes, bacon, and sausage. All of this came at a cheap $ 15.95. The omelets could be made with egg whites and Egg Beaters and were stocked with veggies. I warn you, the potatoes are very addictive. My friends and I were so impressed that we went back there for Sunday brunch the following day. The meal price increased to $ 21.95, but did include additional food items: cheese blintz, beef stroganov, egg soufflé, a Mexican casserole, and a Belgian waffle station with topping bar. The buffet at the Grille at Hobbs Brook Restaurant is a terrific alternative to the $ 50 offerings in Boston.
