Only boxed wine when they have it. Help dirty and food could be so much better!!! Once again, creepy employees!

The food and service was great. I had the Romaninsky 3, brisket, jalapeño sausage and pulled pork on a fresh baked roll! Fantastic. Great beer selection on tap as well. If you’re close you need to stop on.

I come here for lunch a couple times a week. Most of the time I get the same thing, the Chicken Quesadilla Wrap with a side of tortilla chips and salsa. Don’t let the fact that it’s a wrap fool ya. This has Jalepenos on it and is perfectly suited for the manliest of men. Yum! I’ll occasionally order other items off the menu(like the California Club) or their specials. I’ve never been disappointed. You can bring your kids and have a unique craft beer at the same time. It’s a great place. Check it out.

For rural Kansas this place was a pleasant surprise! That’s why I’m giving it four stars. Truly exceptional for small town rural America. The atmosphere is basic, but the food was really the star. My mom had the beef brisket sandwich and said it was tender and delicious. I had a grilled cheese(as I am a vegetarian) and the bread and cheese were high quality – swiss and cheddar, not just American. The potato salad was AMAZING! Tasted like it was perhaps made with a touch of sour cream? I don’t know, but I loved it. Mom had the cole slaw which was a vinegar base, it was good too, but not exactly to her taste. Basically if you are going to be passing through Wamego or nearby, take a detour to Barelycorn’s. You won’t regret it!

Not a very good sandwich… ordered the ruben and the«duke» …aliitle meat and tough bread. nice atmosphere and the poor waitress was working her tail off. if they got her some help and get someone in back that cared. this place could come around… until then keep on driving…

We stopped in Wamego on the way to the Manhattan airport. Our main reason for stopping was to visit the Oz Winery. We parked in front of Barleycorn’s on main street, which is directly across from the winery. We ate during lunch, and found the area well lit and clean. There are several HDTVs with the Kansas City Cheifs game. They had a good selection of draft beers. We had the reuben with salt and vinegar chips, which was the sandwhich of the day.(No fries since they don’t have a fryer.) Sandwich was excellent and I enjoyed the Michelob Amber ale. There was only the bartender taking orders and serving food, but there wasn’t a big crowd and she was able to come in a timely manner. I would definitely come again to watch a game and relax if I’m ever in Wamego again!
