A big run with plenty of room, especially for large dogs. Decent amount of shade, seating for humans, and water fountains galore. While the smaller dog run is mostly grass, there is nothing but dirt in the large dog run, making for a swirling dust storm on dry hot days, and a quagmire of mud and muck when it rains. Otherwise an enjoyable spot with decent folks, and fun and friendly dogs.

Plenty of parking. HUGE dog run for large dogs. A lot of different dogs frequent this park so it’s pretty awesome. It is mostly sand so don’t wear flip flops, low sneakers or anything you don’t want to get dirty.

Small dog run is tiny and even if you go into the large dog run its enter at your own risk. The«regulars» don’t pay attention to their dogs and frequently live to have breakfast inside then yell at the dogs for coming near their bacon breakfast. Really? If you’re not a part if the clique it’s not a fun place for man or beast been to better parks

One of the better dog runs on Long Island’s south shore. Things it has going for it: — Plenty of parking(30 or so feet from run) — Has water for dogs as well as hanging bowls along fence, but you have to bring water during late fall, winter and early spring since park shuts water off — Plenty of room for dogs — Seating for dog owners — Plenty of shade — Has both a separate large & small dog area Things it has against it: — Ground cover is mostly sand, which can make clean up of a longer haired dogs a chore — No bathrooms near run for humans — Have to pay $ 10 on summer weekends to get into park if you are not a Nassau County Resident This is more like a 3.5 star run in my opinion. I have been to this park a few times, would probably go more often if I lived closer. The times I have gone the group of owners and dog were very friendly. Owners were attentive to what their dogs were doing and for the most part the run was free of piles of poop. One of the better dog runs on Long Island, upgrade the ground cover and this is a solid 4 star run. ***UPDATE*** — installed new fencing for both dog runs — concrete under seating and entrance areas — dedicated dog water fountains in each dog run Still needs better ground cover(right now it is just dirt and rocks) This is now a solid 4 star run. Dog runs/parks I have been to so far:
