I usually attend the other local bars to watch football and have wings/beer, but this past Sunday, they were already overcrowded by the time I got there(games were just about to start). Cleary’s, however, was completely empty. They offered many wing flavors so we ordered a hot, a Thai chili, and a honey barbecue — nothing spectacular. The entertainment of the evening was a woman coming in to yell about a dangerous altercation her son had the night prior with some other patrons of the bar; this made us genuinely question if we should stay. The bartender was lovely and talkative, but that didn’t make up for the food and the loud complaint we witnessed.

Last time i was there i went on St. Patty’s day with people i no longer associate with and it was ok This time i went with some great people and had a blast. The bartender Jill was awesome the drinks were cold and we all had fun. The a/c wasn’t really cold but whatever its a bar we had drinks we got shitty drunk we left. Done.

Do not eat here! Went here with my husband and a friend after work for some finger food and beers. There was no one in the place except a wasted drunk being loud and rude. The shots were defiantly water downed. We ordered a burger and had to send it back. And the best part is I saw a large bug walking around behind he bar! That’s when I told my husband I could not stay anything long and went to Corey’s around the Conor! This bar needs a bar rescue ASAP!

Great atmosphere, great prices, decent service. Food could have been a little better. Club sandwich was basically a burnt toast and tomato sandwich. One bartender sat on her phone the entire time we were there noticing we needed refills. Then when I asked her, she was almost annoyed that I was interrupting her. All in all, would go back and try something else.

I went there for St Patrick’s day because it wasn’t as crowded as Corey’s and wanted to tip a few pints and some Irish fare. The food was cold because it was reheated with a microwave. It was not appetizing at all and was the second time I went and the food sucked. Never again.

I’m not sure why this bar has such terrible reviews. I came here last night and had a great time. The drinks were well made and at fair prices. 1 Long Island, 2 mix drinks(one was a double), and 1 beer came out to $ 25. Can’t beat it. It was a Saturday night, but it wasn’t very crowded. We hung out in the outdoor overhang, where we could hear the music but it wasn’t too loud. I loved the music! Punk/ska/rock from the 90s and 00s. Made me want to dance. The bartender was attentive, the bouncer was friendly, and the other patrons were cool. If I wasn’t visiting from out of state, I’d definitely be back often.

Great atmosphere and food keeps us coming back. Soccer games on early in the AM and they keep the kitchen open much later than other bars. Bartenders are always courteous as well and all the drinks are well priced including their custom cocktails. Convenient location by the train

This became our Football mecca by default as my friends from disparate areas of Nassau would converge for Giants/Jets games. This bar is raucous on Football Sundays with fans of all teams assembling in their colors to represent. The beer is fairly cheap and the food has never disappointed. We’ll normally just buy a pile of wings to complement the copious amounts of Guinness we imbibe(always on tap, always poured properly, never stale). One complaint — the dam bar stools are way too low, as though someone had cut the bottom six inches off of each leg. We tend to sit at the tables by the window during games so as to smoke outside, but lean in to watch the game’s action. Located at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Wantagh Ave. — a few hundred feet from both the WSP and the Wantagh LIRR station, this is a great pub for game-day or a quick Happy Hour drink. Karaōke Sundays, though I haven’t been to it yet.

This is the bar I come to when Corrys is too crowded. Its a decent bar with a decent beer selection and decent food. The crowd tends to be younger and a little roudy. The bartenders are okay, most of them are not that attentive to your drink though, so you have to get their attention. From what i remember Clearys has their own beer, when I asked the bartender what type of beer it was he didn’t even know. O… k.
