Friendly, fast, and fantastic food. First time here. Needed a good sandwich in a pinch. This place might be my go-to deli.

My husband and I usually get egg sandwiches from here every weekend, but we decided to give another very popular, nearby deli a try. It’s big, bright, new location was packed with customers. We figured this is gonna be good. Well, it didn’t even come close. I think we were both surprised actually, because of all the rave reviews we’ve heard. We usually get the Breakfast Bash hero(soooo good) from Otto’s, and decided to try a similar sandwich at this other deli. Not only did it cost more, but it wasn’t nearly as satisfying. Otto’s hero bread is more substantial, and the Breakfast Bash can easily feed two. Not so with the other deli’s hero. So, although our Sunday breakfast left us sad, it just made us appreciate Otto’s even more. We will never stray again!

I have been going to Otto’s for 40 years… I think that says it all. Good delis are disappearing — I sure hope Ottos stays for another 40 plus years

Home town deli with a home town feel. Otto’s has been a staple of the Wantagh community for a long time and will continue to be as long as their service and sandwiches stay awesome. Specialty sandwiches are pretty much all great, and their side salads — German potato salad, macaroni salad, and regular potato salad — are the best around. Go to Otto’s to support a Wantagh business that will hopefully be around for a long time.

Just a great place to get a sandwich! The cold cuts and breads are always fresh and the amount of meat is perfect. They write down your egg sandwich so you always know it is going to be right and they really know what they’re doing here. They have lots of salads also, the German Potato is out of this world.

Ottos has the best Macaroni and Potato salads I have ever had from a deli. They are pricey but the food is always very good and I can’t resist those salads

They treat the customers like absolute shit terrible! If you have one problem with the food you get called a pain in the ass and told not to come back! It’s absolutely wrong! The owner is a piece of shit and when I went back to speak to him he was«to busy» to talk! We have been going there for almost 10 years and that’s how we get treated that’s wrong! They should be ashamed! Do not go there!

Otto’s is bit pricey, especially with the sandwiches. But nonetheless, my sandwiches are always delicious and well-made. Also, the staff is very friendly. This is a place you could easily miss since it’s a bit tiny. But if you’re ever going to the park/beach stop by here for a good meal.

The best deli around! When my brother comes in from Arizona, that’s the first thing he hits. The cucumber salad is delish.

Excellent deli, they truly have it all down pat. It’s always a good sign when there are several polite, middle-aged men working behind the counter. It reflects that this place does good enough business to have terrific employees. The food is always fantastic. Perfect place to pickup sandwiches and salads for tailgaiting, or to have them prepare platters of sandwiches or wraps for a party.

Good food, but a little expensive. It is a deli. Nothing special, but in a cool spot. No tables inside to eat, which isn’t abnormal. Just simply stating.

I’m going to have to revise my rating. This deli is no longer a 5-star experience. This especially goes for breakfast. So Pros: rolls/heroes are super-fresh, prices are good especially for breakfast. Cold cuts for lunch and potato salads also good. What’s not good: too much microwave. They microwave fully cooked bacon for the breakfast sandwiches or any meat that you order hot. Also — they will mess up your order sometimes. I’d say they get things right about 50−75% of the time. It looks like they don’t care sometimes either because it is a relatively semi-busy deli.

there is no question that this is a high quality deli. Home made soups, great sandwiches, Coffee is the best in town. But the home made salads are whats makes this a great deli. Chicken salad, potato salad, and cole slaw are fabulous.

Hands down my favorite Deli around… Maybe I am partial b/c I worked there as a kid but the sammy’s are excellent as are the salads. Delicious — get the Jr League and lookout for excellent soups in the winter time. Their split pea and potato leek are excellent!(Chili not bad either)…
