I need to return here when not just taking shelter from a dogs&cats-living-together-type biblical rainstorm outside. Yes, the pineapple & buffalo chicken slices(2 different slices — I’m not a monster…) were quite good and the bright space was clean & friendly; I just was not paying proper attention to my dining experience. But so far, so good.

They have the best greek salad and dressing, deeeelicious if you like greek salads as much as I do. Good price for such a large salad as well. I also love their tortellini soup and pizza. We usually get a plain or pepperoni pie(I would try others but hubby is stuck in his simple ways), tried white pizza once. All are very good. I like that they cook their pizzas lightly, I love a little doughy-ness and it makes for perfect leftovers when reheated in the oven. I would try other dishes here and expect them to also be tasty, but when I think of Giacomos I think of pizza and salad so that’s that. As for the less than stellar 3 star rating, service sucks, plain and simple. We order both delivery and take out and they always take longer than they say on the phone. It doesn’t matter if it’s 2pm on a Tuesday or 6pm on a Friday, I really don’t get the hold up. Well for a friday night I get it, but Tuesday afternoons I don’t see why take out for 2 soups and a salad would take 40 minutes. So usually if I’m already hungry when the pizza craving strikes I just order from somewhere else. They should really try to step it up a bit with the time, since there are so many other good pizza places in the area.

I have had giacomos pizza at both Wappingers location. Both are great. Today my wife wanted chicken francaise. We went to another local restaurant and they looked like they were in «the shits» so we decided not to stay because we had our 3 and 5 year old. Went to giacomos and we ordered there francaise, two slices for the kids, and a chicken parm hero. They have the kids section which is great with a tv and little chairs, lots of napkins. Today I decided to write this review mainly because of the service we Recieved. Young lady, receipt says Allison. Very attentive, knew the menu well and preparations. Insisted on doing more for us even though this is more of a self serve type establishment. Food: chicken could use more tenderizing. That’s my only complaint.

Just picked up a slice after a very long day. Went for the veggie which had artichokes and black olives, among other delicious toppings. It’s absolutely delicious & there seems to be a whole grain crust that I didn’t expect, which makes me more excited about it. It’s 5 times better than I’d hoped!

I ordered one slice of white pizza and pasta fagioli. The white pizza was not hot and not tasty. The pasta fagioli tasted like some pasta mixed in with chicken broth. The worst ever.

Giacomo’s has fantastic fried calamari and the white pizza with herbed ricotta is delicious too. I’ve had a few issues with delivery before but other than that I have no complaints.

Giacomo’s is a popular local chain, but this particular location is their newest. It has a set-up similar to their other locations, except this one has a special kids room which doesn’t have much more than a small table and chairs. Regardless, it’s a cute gesture. The food from this location has always been tasty, in my opinion, from their delicious pesto and grilled chicken wedges(you might know them as heroes or subs) to their sicilian pizza. The only thing that bothers me about this place is how their staff seems to be disinterested in helping customers and consistently converse loudly to the point where it’s hard to get their attention when you need them. It’s the same at other Giacomo’s locations too, but I think it’s a result of hiring young individuals. Either way, it’s a good place! With only slightly above average places for good quality.

Ate here last week and let me tell you, yummy!!! Very good food, extremely fresh! We ordered all dinners but when we arrived immediately we wanted pizza. There were so many delicious looking slices available however that will be another time. The only reason I am not giving a 5 is that we were told 25 minutes and arrived 45 minutes after the call and our food was not ready. They also forgot to throw the garlic knots in the oven so when we arrived they still had to be cooked. Amazing food, not an apology on the service. Will definitely go back to try again hopefully the service will be accurate.

This fairly new location of Giacomo’s has great pizza. Their thin crust square pies have a crunchy crust. Some of my favorites are the buffalo chicken pie and Grandma pie. They also serve regular(round) pies. I haven’t tried their other Italian fare(subs, pasta, salads, entrees), but I hope to soon. The service is friendly and fairly quick.
