Have always had good experiences at this location. Sure the staff can be difficult to get a hold of and often times seem as though they aren’t helpful, but this seems to be an issue across the board at all Home Depots I’ve visited over the years. Several months ago i placed a large order for hardwood flooring with them and they handled it well with no issues. Smooth process and easy pickup by a contractor when it arrived. I’ve rented equipment from them(power washer, etc) and find the to be an easy task. They always have plenty of items and I’ve yet to incur a problem. Stopped in today to the garden section for some items for indoor plants, they had everything I needed and it was a quick in and out venture

Ugh… the help here is completely clueless and not at all helpful. I am not a skilled repair person by any stretch, but when you approach a sales person on the floor and say to them where are your drain auger or drain snakes or any pipe like tool to clear a clogged drain, and the employee shows you a picture of a faucet and says«do you need this or the whole faucet?», you know you are better off not asking for help at all. What irked me about the whole situation was more that he falsely guided me all over the store, with toddler daughter in tow, to areas he ‘thought’ contained my item of request, instead of simply calling someone else or a supervisor for help. This was highly unprofessional. I have unfortunately experienced this very often at this location, and prefer other Home Depot locations(like Poughkeepsie or Fishkill) instead of this one. It gets 3 stars, however, because their garden area staff are actually pretty cool and helpful in the warm weather months. I guess I’ll just try to stay outside at this location…

They hire low-end contractors that don’t do the job correctly when they install a new item in people’s homes.

Absolutely the worst when it comes to finding help. Waited ½ an hour for help in flooring. Manager couldn’t even find stock in his own store.

So yada yada yada and we ended up renting a Professional Sewer Snake(tee hee hee) from Home Depot up in WF since our more local HD in Fishkill does not have tool rental(boo on them!). (Another time we rented an auger to plant rails for our garden and I am sure we will be back for other«manchineries» as projects come up.) Less than $ 60 for the rental. Gas maybe $ 10 round trip twice. Bottle of French Oak Reserve 15 year old Glenlivet for my Superdude? $ 50. Still less than the ~$ 400RR wanted. And the satisfaction of having done it ourselves? Priceless. :) ANDOMG my 275th review!!! Yay!!!
