This used to be my favorite place. Bought dinner here tonight. chicken and broccoli, pretty simple. Horrible! The broccoli was so overcooked it was mushy and there was almost a ¼ inch of oil sitting on top. you couldn’t even «taste» the actual chicken and broccoli flavor. I called to ask if there was a different chef and was told «No, that sometimes they get good broccoli and sometimes bad. The bad broccoli has more „oil“ come out when you cook it.» I didn’t know broccoli excreted OIL… and if you KNOW your broccoli is bad… WHY are you still serving it?!! Said they were sorry and made NO effort to replace or refund. Very disappointed and unsatisfied as I dump $ 11 in the garbage. :(

I’m leaving this review not because the food is particularly post worthy, but I’m surprised it has such a low rating. It’s good food, the price is good, they’re fast, and sufficiently nice. Never had a problem there… and they have real spicy mustard! Totally happy with Tung Ying.

I only stopped in to get some white rice to go with a meal I had at home from a different restaurant. The service was nice and the menu looked great. Will try some entrees next visit!

I don’t understand how they get off charging almost $ 8 for steamed broccoli with brown sauce, but whatever. Food is pretty standard Chinese – I’ve definitely had better, but it’s still pretty good. I’ve always picked my food up and it’s almost always ready before the time they give me – usually ten minutes or less.
One bad experience: I asked for lobster lo mein and got lobster fried rice instead. It’s one time out of 5+, but it’s still bad service. If I didn’t live so close I’d never come here – definitely not worth going out of your way.

I work near the restaurant. Always order lunch there. But the owner and staff are very unfriendly. Food just okay, just for the convenience. 1 day I ordered a Salmon bento box. The salmon was paper thin. I called. The woman owner answered. She simply said that she would check with the kitchen. Did not offer to exchange or replacement. Didn’t even apologize. Never order there again since then. If they don’t appreciate my business, they don’t deserve my business.

I ordered the boneless spareribs combination dinner. It was dry, over-​cooked, and tasteless. I threw the whole dinner away. I will not visit Tung Ying’s again.

The Chinese in this area is lacking. I’ve made it my goal to try to find somewhere good. The crab rangoon is the best I’ve had so far, but that’s not saying much. This restaurant didn’t give me any reason to dislike it, but it didn’t give me a reason to like it either. I doubt the chefs eat the dishes they serve to customers.
