Cranberries maps and outhouses The Cranberry Region Visitor’s Center is a great place to stop on the way to the Cape. Not very large but it is packed with maps, brochures and even has a little gift store with some nice crummy t-shirts, hats, toys and souvenir trinket type things. I suspect the folks working here are volunteers but they are extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and not only know the area but can usually give you weather and traffic information about what’s happening out on the Cape. The center is in a lovely little area with pine trees and picnic tables and benches outside. The only real negative is the visitor’s center doesn’t have indoor bathroom facilities. That means one of those nasty outhouse, porta potty things. The outhouse thing is pretty large and is usually as clean as can be expected and they even have a little hand washing thing right next to the crapper. Certainly not the largest or most elegant visitor’s center but a lovely little place to take a quick break on the way to somewhere else.
