Muscle For Hire Moving

Had a two day move from two out-​of-​state storage lockers to combine into one storage unit in Old Bridge, NJ. The guys both days were effective, efficient, organized and focused, which made our time «on the ground» at each of the rental units and shared dock spaces very light. In regards to the handling of the goods it was a good outcome with appropriate handling and no damage. Over all the project came in close to the estimated cost (5% over).
The only problematic issue with the move experience involved the driving time and routes taken by the mover to get to and from the storage locations. It was not clearly indicated to me in the contract where geographically they would began charging me nor the routes they were planning to take. They charge the same $ 125/​hr per guy whether driving or loading and unloading, so there is little incentive to be smart and assertive with their driving. Driving cross town from west side 26^th/​11^th avenue to east side Manhattan Bridge to BQE to Verrazano Bridge at 3pm would not have been my choice for the quickest way out of Manhattan to get to south Jersey.
