Dr McBride is pretty good, but the office is awful. You leave a message for a nurse to call you back and they never do. I had a procedure and had extreme pain on the verge of passing out. I needed to talk to someone then and not put on a voice mail to be ignored! If you want a responsive office for your questions or needs, do yourself a favor and use a different surgeon’s office. This office is one of the worst offices for doctors I have ever been too and I will find another surgeon.

Avoid this place, especially Hell-wiggy. He almost killed my aunt by leaving gauze in her, causing septacemia. And when giving my husband a colonoscopy, he caused a rectal tear. Hell-wiggy may be good for a pain & suffering payout, but that’s about all.

First of all let me start by saying that I work for Surgical Associates and have been there for many years. I am floored at the comments I have seen against my office. When you schedule an appointment with any physician you should know that there is always a possibility that the doctor is running behind. While you complain that Dr. McBride is running 45 minutes behind your appointment time please know that he has been oncall for the last 24 hours and probably just finished up with an emergency surgery at the hospital. You would want that kind of attention had this been you. It is not the front offices fault and they take the heat for alot of things they can’t help. Second of all let me address the daughter of the mother with the annual colonoscopy’s. I verify insurances and if your mother is having one every year then this is not considered routine or a screening. A screening is at age 50 or older coming into the office with no current problems such as rectal bleeding or rectal pain or change in bowel habits. If she is having them every year this means polyps have been found and probably pre cancerous which in turn means that now every colonoscopy she has from that point on is considered a diagnostic colonoscopy. Your insurance company will not pay 100% for these. Also, when you come in with this diagnosis or chief complaint of rectal bleeding and such and you tell the doctor this then it is coded to the insurance company as your having a problem. Once thats been sent to your insurance company there is no way to change that code, that would be insurance fraud. I just wanted to clear up our side of the story. No I don’t work the front desk, I work behind the scenes, but this is a very good office with excellent surgeons. And let me say they have done surgery on me and my family so I can honestly say they are awesome surgeons. They do care about their patients and should be given a little more respect than what they get.

WOw, now this place is really looking for money. My mom came here for her annual colonoscopy which is covered by insurance since it is a routine screening exam. She had no problems with the procedure at all BUT afterwards she received a bill for $ 300 to cover the procedure. She was quite confused since all routine screening tests are covered by her insurance so she called and it turns out the practice submitted the procedure as «diagnostic» instead of «screening» test. Not only did they refuse to change the label they told her she must have misunderstood. Now my mom does have an accent as she is a native of South Korea but she is able to communicate in English. She even visited the place in person. She also had her family practice doctor call and tell them that it was a screening test and not diagnostic yet they still refused to change the bill. That’s a big difference between expecting a $ 0 bill and you get a $ 300 bill. Finally, on the 3rd visit to the office in person she got the manager to clear the bill just like that. I guess they got tired of her. I’m a doctor and I know that they were in the wrong for doing that to her. They even said she was confused but when she communicated the situation to me I completely understood and it made sense. Maybe they couldn’t understand her accent. In the end everything turned out fairly BUT the customer service was horrible and a bit discriminatory. If you can avoid this place please do as they will find any way to slap you with a bill if they can.
